I've not seen much info on the 1.2.7 changes to the flight model (if any) to the Huey. I certainly think that it's way less violent in transitional changes, especially when slowing to land . Much easier to control when transitioning into a hover state. The VRS seems soooo much easier to control. Anyway Love it, and the AI gunners.... jeeez, simply awesome. Great work Devs.

Hi All, I've got Helios running on a second monitor. Problem is that my radio menu now appears on my second monitor and is obscured by the helio Gui. Can anyone tell me why this is the case and how to fix it? Thanks in advance.

Just to add.......I created an additional A10C complete with load out. Then changed the original plane to AI and the new a/c to Player. Exact same problem? Think I'll keep clear of the Prepare Mission Function. Strange..... Oh well, I'll just rebuild the mission. Thanks

Thanks Smokey and Blue, I think you've nailed it. I was poking around with the Prepare Mission function, and have no doubt changed my load out. Is this a bug then? if not, it would be nice to know how to rectify using the onboard systems.

Hi Guys, Been creating my own missions with JFAC. When I start the mission (airborne not C&D) I have the following note on my MFD - DSMS INVT CMBT. What does it mean? My DSMS also only shows red boxes where the 'munitions are loaded. I've tried using the DSMS LOAD function but to no avail. The Inventory can "read" the smart weapons, but it tells me to check loadout. How to I confirm that the weapon is correct? Also can you think of any reason this is happening to this particular mission? I fly mainly my own missions and haven't encountered this before. Anyway, Thanks in advance.

Hi All, I've attached a benchie for my SSD. It's running the os so maybe skewed the results some what. I've tried everything to get it faster. Plugged into the sata3 port. (other drives into sata2) ACHI mode everything up to date. Can't install ISRT as this just crashes my system on boot. Not sure if this is needed as I'm not using SRT????? Gigabyte z-68A-D3-B3 SSD - OCZ Agility 3 w7 64bit So before I spend anymore time on this..... do these results seem about right????? As always your help very appreciated.

Thanks HiJack, Funny you should say that... that is exacltly what I am doing at the moment. Regreted it as soon as I did it. Having thought about it, there's no point "boxing in" DCS and windows. I'll invartably get another SDD at some point in the future. Leaving Windows to roam the whole 60Gb. Have you any advice of the best back up routine. Currently I use BullGuard (on idle) to sync the two locations, works but is slow. Cheers

Hello All, My question is... what is the best configuration for my multiple drive system. I've got my 3 drives configured thus, at the moment!! SSD(60gb) partition 1 (40gb) W7 partition 2 (20gb) DCS HHD (1tb 7200.12) DATA HHD (2tb 7200.14) partition 1 (1tb) APPLICATIONS partition 2 (1tb) back up of DATA (back up routine -Sync) My question is can I set up a RAID1 between "DATA" and "Backup of DATA"? will it work even though one of them is on a partition? I have my SSD on a SATA3 port My two (Heath Robinson ;), wrrrrr-click) HDDs- on two SATA2 ports. If RAID is possible, how should I do it. I don't want to hinder my SSD's performace. Hi Guys Thanks you all for your help... Quite amazing, I've posted questions on dedicated Hardware/Computing forums and not received a fraction of the assitance you guys offered. There must be something about the love of a great flight sim that makes for a great community. Anyway, although all seemed well but I wasn't getting the anticipated r/w speeds. (SSD wasn't part of a RAID setup). As advised very early on I decided to do a fresh install of Windows. Setup looks like this (I've number the drives to illustrate the partitions) SSD1 Vol1 40gb - OS W7 SSD1 Vol2 20gb - DCS HHD1 Vol1 1tb - Data HDD1 Vol2 1tb - Applications HDD2 1tb - mirror of data (by way of backup routine - more below) All is running sweet and brisk....... but I've been thinking....... what if I set up HHD1 Vol1 and HDD2 as a RAID 1. This would save me having to employ a backup routine, right? I've do some googling and not found a suitable answer so I'm going to START A NEW THREAD as I think there must be a bunch of folk pondering this. Once again thanks and hope to hear from you re: the above on the new thread.

Thanks Guys.... I'm all out of (your) ideas, save the complete o/s install. to summarise 1) put my HHD into Blue, leaving SSD in white socket 2) changed the reg keys as above, (seemed to work, all devices installed and now running in AHCI mode) 3) updated OCZ firmware to 2.2 4) numerous restarts (windows needed to check system drive (HHD) and seemed to find numerous errors!!!)) 5) Several tests on load times at each phase.... all the same. 6) became despondent and slightly morose Next step Try to repair windows.... then finally set aside a day to reinstall o/s on the SSD and do away with ISRT all together.... which btw now crashes every time I try to open it from the task bar. Am I beaten??? I feel I'm so nearly there...... No wonder I've read lots of reports of how SSD don't seem to be any faster. Thanks again, you guys are some kind of awesome

Firstly thanks for this.... 1) it's in the white port along with my HDD (system drive) 2)Bios is up to date 3)tried the AHCI setting and got the BSoD on start up - changed back to RAID (XHD) in bios (Is this the problem?) 4)will do Thanks for this, it looked so easy on youTube!!!!!!

it's a GA-Z68A-D3-B3 board. BTW 2 SATA3 and 4 SATA2 ports... System drive into one of the SATA3 (7200.12) and SSD (OCZ Agility3 60GB) into the other.

Its a gigabyte m/b so I used the EZ SRT to convert to RAID. All seems to have installed okay. I'm now running a raid set up... I have the SSD connected to a SATA3 port with my System drive (1TB 7200.12) on the other. I'll have to google Marvel, not sure what that is... but all the same I think it should be faster, or at least different to a HHD

Hi All, Just installed a 60gb SSD, 50:50 split between IRST (see how that goes!!!) and DCS. Prior to the install I had my DCS on a 2tb 7200.14 Seagate. Prior to the install of the SSD I timed the following load time: World>Instant action>KA50>Insurgents @ 47seconds I uninstalled and reinstalled on my SSD. Booted the exact same mission and timed it........ 47 seconds!!!!!! :cry: Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!!!!!:mad: Is this normal? what gives, I was hoping for a 50%(ish) reduction in load times. Where is the bottle neck????? i5 2500k Oc'd @ 4.1 8 gig of 1333 ram Gigabyte P67A M/B AMD 6870 Might be my imagination but the menus etc seem slightly more snappy..... advice, comments most welcome Peace...

Yep, I don't think you need me to tell you that is one awesome collection of components. A veritable flying machine!!!!! The PSU will be more than adequate even if you do go SLI in the future Why no water cooling? I'm sure you'll already own a nice stick and TrackIR, but if not - that's where you should be dropping some cash!!!

Hi all, I've started to use the Controller Position Panel (CTRL Enter). When I do a start from C&D I get a flashing "B" on the top left corner. I note it's not there when I jump straight in with the machine already running. Can anyone tell me what the "B" signifies? Thanks

Worth turning off the notifications in control panel/notifications/ desktop manager. Screen seems to loose focus when this message pops up.

I personally would like to be able to remove the option for "Game Mode" in the list of controllers. I'll never use it and it just seems untidy somehow...... OCD'ing!!!! Seriously though, maybe it could be an option at install. Doesn't the P51 have some such option at install???

Absolutely Not!!!! I don't mind paying for whatever they release, whenever they release it. As soon as they have imposed deadlines (e.g. 4 titles a year) it'll all go to rat $h1t. This Development process (and the guys involved) are something special and unique until now. I've walked the Sim desert for many years..... occasionally stopping to drink at the odd PMDG, F4.0 oasis along the way. But for now drink deep friends and give thanks to the Sky Gods that you live in a time of fast (enough) CPUs and pilgrims of extraordinary talent and commitment (that's you Devs). Oh and make sure you buy all the titles as they come out

Hey wouldn't that be great..... now we're all about modules, how about splitting the mission builder. I could install it on my slightly pony laptop and compose missions while spending "quality time" with the Mrs in front of the Boob Tube watching some pish like CSI!!!!:noexpression: As soon as she's off to bed, fire up the big rig and get on with the serious business of 'ending' some AI baddies!!:pilotfly: with complex triggers and a coherent plot (unlike CSI!!!!!!) :D
