  3. I have a set of rudder pedals I’m reworking. I have potentiometers hooked up to an arduino board but apparently hall effect sensors are better. I can find tons of tutorials on how to use them to detect the presence of a magnet but not how to have it be output as an analogue axis. Has anyone done it? Have links to videos or articles? Thanks

  6. INR mode is your friend. Assuming you aren't tracking a target, ALWAYS put the pod back in INR mode (TMS after short) and even if you make the pod jump, it'll always go back to where it was looking.
  7. Hi all, just set my Aero up today. WOW! What an INSANE improvement over even the valve index! I am totally blown away. I have 2 questions... 1. I'm trying to run the DFR mod, I installed it, is that it? just runs automatically? I didn't see anything else about making it work. 2. I ran the mission "Sitting ducks" mission for A-10 and noticed a jeep disappears at certain ranges. I mean literally POOF its gone. I dont know if this is a varjo thing or a DCS thing. Can anyone confirm? EDIT: Checked in 2d. The jeep disappears too so its a DCS thing not a varjo thing.
  8. This has been something that's plagued me for ages in this sim. What box (when selecting gun rounds on stores page) do I pick for each? See attached screenshot. I assume HEI-T are mk50? and SAPHEI are PGU? but then what do I select for AP? TP?

  12. So I know all about triggering system failures. What I’m trying to do is make a system fail at an exact time or location. Only failures I can find have the parameter attached to them “fail within” and you can’t make the window less than 1 min. help?

  17. I'm positive some time ago, long before A-10c II, the TP rounds had tracers... maybe they removed them because its not so IRL
  18. Maybe I'm misremembering but I swore when loaded with target practice rounds, the DSMS would show "1150 TP" instead of the usual CM but now when loading TP, only CM shows. What I DEFINITELY remember is the TP rounds having tracers, which they do not anymore. The vanilla A-10, as well as the A-10 II both are affected by this it seems.
  19. New FLIR finally! Does anyone know if the CCD was also tweaked? might be placebo effect but I swear the CCD is also way more effective.

Did my own test, where I saw the worst FLIR performance with A-10 and had the Apache to compare NineLine, new flir may be there, appreciate the test but I'm not sure why the A-10 and other modules seem to be so "sensitive" to the ground when the Apache is so easily able to distinguish whats the ground and whats a vehicle... (Apache on left, hawg on the right)
  23. What map is this on? The issue is less with the vehicles and more with the terrain itself; if I could trouble you to run this test in Georgia you’ll see what I mean. I’m about to run it myself in an hour or so; I’ll post what I find.
  24. I get that new FLIR is WIP, but there needs to be a workaround in the interim. Right now, it appears that whats "hot" and "cold" is tied to color of whats being looked at; ever since caucauses got the new textures, everything is camouflaged in FLIR in the A-10. I have a test mission with some T-72's in a cornfield, and they're practically invisible, old or new FLIR system. I'm super happy ED wants to make new meshes for all vehicles, but in the mean time we need something that makes hot vehicles stand out so the FLIR is at least playable in the mean time.
