  1. Not really like the Shaw book (which the writer recommends anyway), but still a very good read for those interested in WWII virtual air combat... http://www.virtualpilots.fi/feature/lento_ohjeet/inpursuit/inpursuit.pdf
  2. Just received my copy in the mail! +1!
  3. Fantastic, just ordered it! Nice cover on it too. Thx a great deal, chaotikchiken!!!
  4. You can map that to the TIR Z axis (it's the axis that moves you backwards and forwards in the TIR software) in the game itself. Scroll to the right when you're assigning in the options menu and you'll see TIR, then simply give it's Z-axis the zoom function. I did however disable one half of the curve in the TIR software (not in game), because I have no need for zooming out from the neutral/centered position. I find this works a lot more intuitive than assigning a snapview or slider to see the hud better when doing gunruns or bombing. Becomes very natural, also when viewing the mfcd's and cdu and other things. Note that I do use the slider next to the APU you mentioned, to shift my viewpoint back and forward (since it has a nice middle position indent) and the TIR pause when needed, to do some stuff on the side panels (like adjusting radio's or lights, cdu programming, etc...)
  5. Anywhere you sit, slouched or up, just hit the re-center button. That's what it's there for. Whenever my head goes down in the pit to fiddle or after a sequence of commands, I hit it...to the point where I periodically hit it even when it's not necessary. Comes from playing Arma a lot with TIR. And binding the TIR Z axis to zoom, and the longitudinal axis to the wheel next to the APU switch, takes care of all my needs. Thx to Fish for that!
  6. That'd be much appreciated, man. Thanks!
  7. Lulu apparently is international, I now have an account on the site in my own language (dutch, as I'm from Belgium). Like I said before, the only trouble is uploading the pdf with all the fonts embedded in it (whatever that may mean...), and according to lulu you'll need a payware version of adobe for that. I'm not gonna be spending on software that I'm only gonna use once, so that's where I'm stuck right now... Maybe chaotikchiken can give us the link to the version he made? If that's at all possible with author rights and whatnot.... The previous version is still available.
  8. Just uploading the pdf doesn't work for me in lulu. Apparently I need to "embed all fonts", and since I only have Acrobat Reader I can't do that. Tried uploading it more than once...no joy...
  9. If you go to the editor and click the right most option,( I believe it's help...?) you can see the version in the "about" part. Atleast that's what I think..
  10. I'll use this topic as my first post then. I certainly would appreciate a printed manual, I just can't seem to read pdf's on my screen without getting a headache...especially 700 pages of material I really need to digest to get anywhere with A10. So +1 from me! And looking at the poll, ED might even make some profit on it.
