  1. thats why i asked i dont think i would have found that forum sub section on accident. Thanks!
  2. Am i just not seeing the location for discussion on mission editing in the forum or elcewhere. Ive started mseeing around with the editor recently after geing into ARMA 3s excellent editor system. I realized DCS's system would be simalar. While specifics will be different the general concepts like triggers, way-points, and zones are shared by both. The difference is the availability of material to teach new comers. In my opinion its the biggest value in terms of re-playability of the sim. Every now and then i can find the Wiki page for the editor but its not super helpful. Like the manua,l it gives u raw definitions but not context in which one would use certain commands or functions. A place to discuss this would be nice. Having links to german only tutoreal vids like the wiki page for example is not too helpful. And I don't want to go off on a rant, but its my understanding that business, sciences, international sport and aviation all use english as the standard(admittedly a fluke of geopolitical history) in which discussions/ideas are presented internationally. I only ask that the community considers that when making more instructional material, and suplementing it with other languages. I do believe the more people join this community the better. Language barriers aside... Is there a site or place with the resources im talking about? Im not asking the developers to take on this issue as they are a small organization and have enough to work on all ready. The community could take up this issue quite effectively im sure. Also Im thinking about uploading some Tweaked F15DACT Missions but im not sure if its ok... Ive added Text to let the pilot know they have shot down the targets and added screen shots of the enemy aircraft to the briefing pages to the flesh it out. Mainly as practice but it might be helpful to other newbies like myself.
  3. Very Cool And thanks for including the doc to make our own Printed (vs hand written) Entry's. Awesome Work!
  4. Worked Like a Charm for the f15 VSD Cursor. I did the exact same for both axis. Much better than the 50 curve i had. When adjusting the Y axis does that refer to the Y (slider) for both Slew Axis (UP-Down and Left-Right)? Thats what i ended up doing. Anyways thanks for figuing this out makes things way easier.
  5. I am having the same problem, I arrive ON TIME at the rendezvous. I stay off his wing .4nm or less until he touches down and i get the "we can handle it from here..." At that point i tightly circle the airfield until the transport parks and shuts down its lights. I even sped up time on the sim to see and drained my tank to bingo and nothing... I had on a previous install breezed through the mission thou i couldn't manage to stay that close to the c17 i passed the mission. -Mabe its a mod??
  6. I installed the download version (1.1.1.1) over my steam dcs directory (ran as admin). When i launch it with my steam button it seams to work and the splash screens say 1.1.1.1 not .9 Only when i select missions i have 2 Georgian hammer m campaigns to select 1 with a minor type o corrected. seeing this i checked my directory wich reads as 7.5 gigs so im not sure if i just dubbled my game size. tomorrow ill try to do the fresh install, after i figure out how to preserve my stick settings. Im sure ill find info on here As a long time steam user i would like to share some knowledge about the subject. The servers you search for on a steam version will be the same that you search for with for in non steam copes. Now having difrent versions like 1.1.1.9. or 1.1.1.1 will cause problems. Some games, mainly valve and close partners, use steam's own matching and server systems like steamcloud for "counter strike" or "left for dead" but not in this case. Even DCS Protection is handled by starfoce activation. As i understand it steam works like a web hosting company where they give you an account HDD space and a way to acess it to put you product and its updates. This is a super simple example of couse. but ive had this hapen with a game before and it turned out(via the games co forums) that the game developers had had a miscomunication with its Steam Rep or was unaware of what they needed to send steam. It may take a bit of us posting on both forums or submitting help tickets. In steams forums for other games Ive read the same explanation form other longtime users. Id also like to agree with what somebody said above,i would probably not even flying this awesome sim if it wasn't fo the fact i was able to grab it on one of steams seasonal sales. Its not perfect and it has its down times... but so does my IsP and cell phone.
