:thumbup: Yep STEAM definitely has it's place and brings in a lot of business that would not be here otherwise... In my case the only reason I don't use STEAM for DCS is having to wait longer for modules (I always do the BETAs) and the fact that not all of my cash goes to ED or the 3rd party devs.. Considering how small these companies are, it is a priority for me to support them as much as I can... Absolutely nothing against any other opinions and those that like and use Steam for DCS more power to you.. Just my 2 cents worth on it...

HEMPSTEAD not sure why you posted what you did in the first place let alone TWICE, so that is why I included MY earlier post in this one... In answer as to why this type of project, I can only speak for myself, but I know in my case coming up with a project that is sufficient for my needs and yet is also something that I can actually ACCOMPLISH is a devilishly difficult task! I have all kinds of ideas in my head but my knowledge level (or lack thereof) relegates all of those ideas as just exactly that.. Unrealized ideas. There are TONS of simple electronics projects to turn on an LED or charge an item with a solar panel, etc... But once you venture past these tiny projects it just seems to be a huge abyss to traverse to move ahead... So you end up not wanting to build anything because the projects you CAN do are too easy and simplistic, but the things you WANT to do are far beyond your abilities... He selected this project becasue it certainly is NOT a blinking LED and yet it was something he could accomplish and it exactly fits his needs... Awesome job! :thumbup: Tiger, please continue to post projects such as this one as I and I am certain others find them quite useful and helpful..

The guy wanted to make the project he made to EXACTLY suit his needs, simple as that... Stating that there are better boards was quite rude (And subjective) and I hope was a faux pas on your part... My 2 cents worth is GREAT job on the project and very nice and professional looking solution that EXACTLY fits your needs! I have slowly been delving into basic electronics and IC's so I really enjoy this thread... So far my projects have been much simpler than this Thanks for sharing! :thumbup:

The F-15C is not a ground attack plane The F-15E IS... But it is not modelled in DCS as a user-flyable airframe... They are completely different planes with different capabilities and uses..

You are aware that you purchased the F-86 while it is still a BETA module, correct? BETA means that not everything is complete and if it is not complete then it makes zero sense to try to publish a manual as things are constantly changing... This guarantess that the manual will probably be the very last (or at least one of the last) items completed..

Not sure what you mean by hostile, but you really should actually READ the OP's question before posting. He didn't ask IF there was mouse control, he asked WHY there wasn't... (Your "simple" answer therefore, was not relevant.) If he truly wants to know WHY it isn't provided, the answer will take a little more fleshing out... And that is what was provided

I say DCS is a SIMULATION, not a game... If you want to play games with your mouse, please do so... (There are plenty of flight games available that use the mouse as the main controller. Please pick one of those.) ED should not spend valuable time programming mouse functionality for a SIMULATION that 99.9% of customers will never use... DCS caters to a very niche audience of flight simulation aficianados, not gamers... This is not "elitist" attitude it is reality and like so many things in life one must select the correct tool for a particular job... Looking for mouse control in DCS is NOT the correct tool for the job.. Sorry, but I completely disagree with your post and would fight this sentiment to the end...

That is exactly what I have been doing with the Sabre.. Haven't even tried any of the weapons, just love the FEEL.. Very eager to try the Mig-21 and anxiously waiting on the Hawk as well..

Careful with that "year wait" statement... As we have seen here (and as I have witnessed countless times in my life) stated deadlines are seldom met.. I am certainly not changing any plans I have based on anyone's stated production dates... I trust no one's delivery dates until I have the product in-hand..

This poll was created in response to an earlier post from Belsimtek stating G,S or W... They weren't certain yet.. Depended on the community.. (And no I don't have the link) I doubt they would have said what they said if they didn't want to hear what our opinion was..

Good God VOTE. The developers ARE the ones asking.. (At least they were the ones that said there is some question on which model) They wouldn't have posted the question if they didn't want to know what we wanted... I agree they have the right to provide what they want, but they are asking for our opinions to figure out what they want to provide..

Nope no high horse and not sure how my intellect was brought into this but recommend you don't go there... ;) Just tired of the same ole crap being spewed over and over... And I find it absolutely HILARIOUS that your last line states exactly what we have been saying about this subject the whole time.. The mission builders can setup the missions to achieve balance.. Thanks for going full circle, contradicting your own argument and saying exactly what we have been saying all along..
