  1. CombatFlite exports the waypoints of a given flight, nav points, reference points and orbit anchors (depending on what you choose in the dialog form). It creates a new navaids.dat file containing just the items selected for export. As it is stated in the message box prior to the export itself, make a backup copy of the original file (like you did).
  2. You can use CombatFlite for easy setting up the CMS programs and importing/exporting the mentioned lua file. ;) Available at CombatFlite.com for download. Cheers,
  3. It will be part of the next (1.0.4 4) update -- hopefully out this weekend ;) Sent from my SM-A520F using Tapatalk
  4. Yes, you can now import auto-generated (and custom) cartridges to CF as well as export custom ones.
  5. Hello, A new version 1.0.3 of CombatFlite is available -- see this forum post. The import of auto-generated and custom AJS-37 catridges is implemented. You're welcome to try it out! CombatFlite v1.0.3 can be downloaded HERE. Regards,
  6. CF 1.0.3 available, Auto-generated Cartridge import Hello, A new version 1.0.3 of CombatFlite is available -- see this forum post. The import of auto-generated and custom AJS-37 catridges is implemented. You're welcome to try it out! CombatFlite v1.0.3 can be downloaded HERE. Regards,
  7. Indeed, the import of auto-generated (and also custom) cartridges is already implemented and will be part of the coming update. :smilewink:
  8. The best solution would be to access directly the maps in DCS with all the objects etc. Not sure it's possible at the moment. The second best solution is to make very high res maps of the DCS theaters. Those would have to be loaded as tiles, since they'd be too big to load at once. The third best solution (which is currently implemented) is to use the online tiles, which give you access to much higher zoom levels. On the other hand, they are RL not DCS (the terrain features should match very well though). Long-term goal is to implement either solution 1 or 2 :)
  9. No, you don't have to reload DCS. Just copy the new CustomCartridge.ini to Saved Games\DCS_AJS37 and load it via REF/LOLA, IN, 9099, LS... (You have to be on the ground though.) You can do it while DCS is running and mission is up (at least in SP).
  10. It is now fixed in the last update (CF 1.0.1) -- available for download at www.combatflite.com. You can now insert the custom kneeboard direcly into a .miz file, or have .png files generated to be placed either in Saved Games\DCS\Kneeboard or the the Viggen kneeboard folder. For more information please see https://www.combatflite.com/blog/viggenkneeboard (updated) or the User's Manual. Note: The feature was developed back when .lua files needed to be exported together with .png files to make the kneeboard work -- not the case anymore, and also fixed in CF now. Thanks!
  11. CF 1.0.1 CF 1.0.1 available for download at www.combatflite.com A number of bugs fixed, new features added. You can now check out the NS430 navaids.dat export feature :smilewink:
  12. Done. Added the functionality to select a route and export its waypoints, together with any nav points, reference points and orbit anchors (if desired) as a navaids.dat file. Tested in-game, and the exported waypoints show up in the NRST - INTERSECTION page of the NS430. You can make a flight plan out of them, navigate 'DIRECT TO' them etc. Will be part of the next update, together with several bug fixes. Thanks for pointing out the .dat file!
  13. Great idea! Are the online tiles map options (aerial etc.) in CF of any help here?
  14. You can choose whether you want to have the TOT locked for each of the waypoints when generating the cartridge. I can also confirm that even though the waypoints are marked as B-points in the CustomCartridge.ini file, they appear as M-points in the cockpit -- probably a Viggen issue?
  15. Place the CustomCartridge.ini in the Saved Games\DCS_AJS37. In game you must first select the Custom Cartridge (it's named "7 Saved games-folder"). You cycle between cartridges by Ctrl+Shift+C and Ctrl+Alt+C. Then REF/LOLA IN 9099, press LS/SKU. When loaded, switch to UT, AKT POS (or whatever navigation mode you want) and you're good to go. For the kneeboard, you can either insert it directly into a .miz (using the appropriate button in the Kneeboard window of CF) or generate .png files. Those you can put either in your Saved Games\DCS\Kneeboard folder or to 'DCS World\Mods\aircraft\AJS37\Cockpit\scripts\KNEEBOARD\pages’. The .png's generated by CF can be found at 'Documents\CombatFlite\Kneeboard'. Note: .lua files are not needed anymore (fixed in CF 1.0.1) Just did a quick test:
  16. Looks like an F/A-18 grip by RealSimulator is coming. Both a LH/RH version and several quality grades. Preorders soon, according to their website. http://realsimulator.com/

    Data Cartridge

I have requested the data cartridge feature at ED. All what's needed is the capability of reading the data cartridge from an external file (already trailblazed by the Viggen). It would open up a lot of possibilities. The same goes for the A-10C and other modules that support data cartridges IRL. I'm sure if the crowd's big enough, it will be worth devs' time to make this happen. Pre-flight planning and DTCs are a crucial part of flight ops IRL for a reason.
  18. I have requested this to be supported by DCS, together with the loading of data cartridges from an external file for the A-10C and the upcoming F/A-18C (in a similar way to how it's done in the Viggen). We'll see what of it gets implemented by ED and when. Probably not anytime soon, if at all. There is a workaround for loading flight plans and navpoints into the CDU and for setting different systems of the A-10C prior to the mission. But only for SP, not MP. With regard to TAD overlays, there is no workaround I am aware of. (Other than drawing the overlays directly into the tiles. Which is not the course of action I am going to take.) On a bright note: CombatFlite, that's being developed, is ready to support all of that. It's just nowhere to plug the capability into on the DCS side at the moment.
  19. +1. That's the one inside, plus there's an other one on a pedestal in front of the museum. And a lot of other interesting things to see. Definitely a must go.
  20. 45 fps down low. 90 fps up and away. (Disclaimer: 2 aircraft and 2 ground units in the mission) I recommend tweaking the settings in the nVidia Control Panel (see this post: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3374816&postcount=4).
  21. Looks awesome! Are you planning on making modern Western-style throttle grips as well?
  22. I ordered it too!
