Its not even a debate; trying to impress people by being a dick seems to be the norm around this place.
He's not impressing anybody...
Love the continued work on the Cobra. Same for me, its my most anticipated mod.-

Did you update DCS recently? I find I have to re-install the MH-47 stuff every time it updates or I clean the game. The textures are stored in the ZIP file in the CoreMods folder. Every time the game updates or whatever, it cleans that file. If it's just the textures you're lacking that's more than likely what it is.
If you're talking about using the MH-47 mod along with the Guns-A-Go-Go Android just made, it was actually simple. I'm not saying how I did it unless he okays it though.
I use OVGME to install and remove the mod. So whenever I do an update, it's from a "clean" state.
So the missing textures were a mystery to me. That's why I dug into the LUA file.
I previously created a grey skinned mod for the HH-47G and green for the RAF Chinook HC.5

How'd you get the MH-47 mod working? I tried it this week and many of the textures wouldn't load anymore. I tried doing a line by line comparison between the mod CH-47F LUA and the default one. While noticing some differences and updating the mod with the new LUA, it wouldn't load.
Hopefully you can share.

@BIGNEWY
Thanks for the help! I've since stopped flying on the server that had the mods and scripts. I felt a few of them were having some very negative effects on users systems. But the powers that be, disagreed.
I've got a brand new build with Win11 sitting and waiting for me to complete a new sim pit. It begins this week.

Can someone take a look at my crash log and tell me what/why? I got a BSOD while rdz with a tanker during a M/P session.
Thanks! -

I never did. I deleted the mod completely from my OVGME. Recreated it within the repository and installed again. It installed fine. However, after removing it for an update, it once again gave me the install error. So something isn't jiving with DCS.

No burnouts for me mate, just very limited time to deal with the daily life chores and even more limited for DCS modding, RL keeps getting in the way, meanwhile i have @Petr005 working on the long awaited changes for the 3D model, extensive cockpit object modeling, to bring the details to a higher level.
Thank you Sir. Happy for your news. Best wishes!

Keeping the thread alive. Hoping burnout didn't take hold and we lose another potentially awesome helo.

Just a question. When the files are reduced from 4k to 2k, mine are all blurry. Is there a way to add the mip maps to make them clear? Or is it a cockpit resolution thing?
-
They need to fix their reputation and support to completion, their existing project.
Only then should they be allowed to move onto another map. Balkans or not.-

It appears Urbi, and/or. his posts are gone.
Can anyone repost the mod for the F-86 cockpit into the F/RF-80 and F-84 please? Thanks -
Most everyone has seen this map for a 1970/80's battleground. But has anyone done a template for the 1950s with F-86s vs MiG-15? Early Cold War was interesting too. Maybe time to hunt for some AI/Static assets.

Well with them doing an F-35 they cant use the "too classified" excuse for pretty much anything anymore. That ship has sailed as we know know they can pretty much do it all. So yeah the MH-47 stuff should be done or at the BARE MINIMUM M134's and a refueling probe.
LMAO. We can't even get them to provide regular updates to bring it closer to being able to do basic logistics.
And you're expecting them to add a bunch of extras that were never intended? Wish list or not, it's pretty far fetched. As much as I too would like it.

While not a typical RedAir flyer, the lure towards the Su-25 and it's get it done simplicity was always present. Your work to bring over the Su-22 will be most welcomed. Thank you!

I'm getting an OVGME install error with this pack now. File copy error, to be specific. I had it in, up to Sunday and removed it for some testing. Since then, I've been unable to reinstall.
Any thoughts?
I did the obligatory Clean and Repair of DCS after everything was removed as well, hoping to wipe any lingering files. -
Does the "Takeoff from Ground" option not work?
Probably the only workaround until some more updates.-

The other issue I see frequently, is the sine wave effect at contact. Even more pronounced when a receiver chases the basket. This, can and will, result in the probe snapping off and drogue damage.
Upon offload complete, the hose does not auto-disconnect. The MPRS panel is preset to a fuel offload number and once that is reached, the Pod Valve cycles from OPEN back to ARMED. A coordinated disconnect call is given by the boom operator, to the receiver.
And yes, hose markings are needed to stay within the envelope.

The Edersee Dam is missing from the Germany map.
During a trip to Fritzlar, I made drive to see it. You could see the repaired portion, in contrast to the rest of the old bits.

I'm hoping to have the ability to configure your AI wingman's jet with a loadout. Typically, the mission has to be built with a specific load in place. However, most of my SP are clean jets and I configure as needed by the target.
The AI would be left clean.
Can this be added to the F10/Rearm-Refuel menu. Maybe a check box to add to wingman/flight?
Thanks

This building below, should in truth, be an alert facility. It was not converted to offices until the mid 90's or so.
I've linked how it should look, as a 4-place Alert Barn.

The Felon is wowing the crowds in the UAE this week. My buddy said it was quite impressive.
