  1. I've been trying to learn to fight in the Gazelle from a hover, but the tanks seem to get the first kill shot every time. So a few questions: 1) Can ground objects see through trees? I'm barely above them and get nailed immediately. 2) Are buildings see-through? Again, trying to use cover 3) Not silhouetting myself against open sky above trees. Maybe use mountains behind me? I understand it wont be a turkey shoot for me, but I'm trying to follow the tactics I know. Thanks, Jeff
  2. Sounds very nice. I liked the start-up segment very much. Looking forward to it's release. Thanks!
  3. Bumping this. Tried some BFM with a buddy with us both flying the F-5. Couldnt see each other at all until a mile. Come on, lets bring this back. Labels kill it, so this was a good option to aid in restrictions on various systems. -Jeff
  4. Its been done https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/2145119/
  5. I've never been able to trim completely level in the roll axis. Pitch is fine once my power is set and stable. This is especially noticable carrying a AIM-9 and CATM combo. The AIM-9 is heavier, so you'd trim to compensate.
  6. Based on Ron's words above, and the distinct lack of any news on the Tucano in several months, the Harrier and Mirage III appear to have moved forward on the schedule. Can someone from Razbam please answer? Thanks.
  7. I'm running the Release version, not Beta. Still says 1.5.5.58891 is current. So this must be a Beta only for now.
  8. Thank you upuaut! I'm a former Green Hornet, so these are a must for my Huey fleet. -Jeff
  9. Were these ever done for the DCS Huey? I realize two are Ns, but... Thanks, Jeff
  10. @Terzi: Unfortunetly this isnt programmable in the F-5, so the default setting doesnt work well. @MBot: Very useful thread. Missed it, but thank you for the detailed post. So it's known. I'll try the flatter approach as an interim fix. Regards, Jeff
  11. I'm not sure if this even applies directly to the F-5, but since it's an option, I'll begin here. Using the CBU-52 against some AAA and light SAM vehicles, the coverage of a pair of these was rather small. Like make 50 feet from what I could tell, looking back over my shoulder. Is this a Belsimtek design or ED? I'd just like to get it fixed as it's useful. Thanks, Jeff
  12. Nice work! Thank you. V/R Jeff
  13. Another issue is that SRS doesnt retain your speaker setting. At least for me. Mine defaults back to Optical input, instead of what I use.
  14. +1 on what Neil said. If you're cold starting, your radios arent powered up and SRS will not work. Just like the real aircraft.
  15. Same thing in Multiplayer last night. Vanilla and then again with normal mods that the host had. Running an i7-6700K @ 4Ghz 16GB RAM nVidia GTX 980 Samsung 500GB SSD Win 10 (64) DCS Log_Storm.zip
  16. You'll need to install Alpha 2.0 as a base for the NTTR.
  17. I currently run an ASUS G75 laptop, with a 24" ASUS external monitor. By extending your display (under display settings) and making the 2nd monitor the primary, you should be good to go.
  18. The few remaining F-14s that survived the shredder at AMARG, were placed into museums and de-mil'd. IMO, the shear complexity of that jet would make it very cost prohibitive to see it flying in private hands.
  19. Thanks for flying my skin. Glad to see someone, other than myself, using it. -Jeff
  20. Desert Training Working on another training unit scheme. Took it out for a spin.
  21. k Hahaha, I had the same result. Except the MiG eventually turned back and shot me in the face with an Aphid. My P5 wouldn't guide on his lit burner, from 3.5 miles. More testing. I think I'll set up a switch on my HOTAS for that flap slider though. -Jeff
  22. This has been noted by several users, but not really addressed by Belsimtek as of yet. The moniker "early access" was mentioned. But you're not alone. Going to guns against ground targets requires way too much ammo. -Jeff
  23. While hosting sessions in both 1.5 and 2.0, Malwarebytes keeps blocking an intrusion from the IP 91.72.86.106 traced to an ISP in the United Arab Emirates. It appears to be trying to get into my DCS.exe Is this a failed login/password to my server? Just interesting that its the same IP, a couple of nights in a row. Any ideas? -Jeff
