  3. I know it's an old thread, but this question about the P-51D flaps is still concerns me till today and maybe today someone knows more about it? The big question for me is: do the flaps in the P-51D can be lowered at high speeds and stay extended or the airflow pushes the flaps inside like it's in DCS?...because in 2 another pretty realistic simulators it's not like in DCS, i'm talking about mainly A2A P-51D, but also about the P-51D in IL-2 Great Battles series. and in every sim it's modeled different, and i want to know which is more correct and how it's in real life. 1. DCS P-51D - flaps are depressed inside by the airflow at high speeds and cannot be jammed or break. 2. A2A P-51D - flaps can be extended at high speeds and at certain point the flap rod will be jammed and the flap will stuck and if you continue, eventually the flap rod will be break and the flap will remain attached to the wing, but moves freely. 3. IL-2 GB series P-51D - flaps can be extended at high speeds and at certain point the flap rod will be jammed and the flap will stuck as in the A2A P-51D, but the afterwards is different, the flap will also break, but in the way that it's completely cut off from the wing. Also, we have real life combat reports of P-51 pilots and in some of them they said that they used flaps at high speeds in order to not overshoot the enemy aircraft, even in very high speeds..for example: "I had to put down 20° flaps to keep from overrunning him, indicating above 500 m.p.h." and in DCS when i tried lowering flaps at 500 MPH they barely extend, something like 5 degrees.   4. I will try to explain again what i was suggesting, i mean that a bf-109K4 without MW50 will be more similar to G version relatively..i know it's not the same, but for now that we don't have the G version, it will be the closest way to simulate a more historic gameplay in the DCS WW2 servers.

I thought of an idea on how to make the DCS WW2 more authentic for now that we don't have the 109G variant yet. i think that choosing the MW/Fuel tank for Empty or B-4 fuel and disabling the option for MW50, will be simulating the Gustav close enough. so the majority of the German side should be like that, simulating the G variants, and only few slots should be K4 with MW50.   6. Hi, It's great that ED will improve the cockpit of the Ka-50. I would like that they will add the skin glossiness that the Ka-50 have in real life. in the sim the paint of the Ka-50 is too matte. Thx

  8. I have the same problem with 1.5.4, force feedback works fine till suddenly it stops and the stick is soft. i'm flying with Microsoft force feedback 2.

  11. Hi, I voted for Dynamic campaign system. New maps already in progress, so i didn't choose it, but, IMO, new maps should have more focus, more official third parties working on many different maps, and also releasing the map creating tools to the community, i know the concern about quality etc..but, there are very talented peoples and groups. it will boost and make the success of the sim much more big IMO. Also, optimization of the amount of vehicles, CA is great, but, on multiplayer, moving few groups of vehicles causes a lot of lags and make it unplayable. Last thing, i would love that the work on the F-16C and AH-64A will continue. Thx

    New map

    Hi all, I'm intending to make a new map for DCSW. but, before spending a lot of time and resources, i want to know first please, if it possible at all, with the current map creation tools? I saw that there is a nice WIKI with the information and tutorials for new maps here: http://en.wiki.eagle.ru/wiki/All_about_land and here: http://en.wiki.eagle.ru/wiki/Creating_land_2 The Plugin for 3ds Max there seems to be outdated, also the lsa2, rn2 files, because the current DCSW Version uses lsa3, rn3 etc.. So, i would like to know please if it is possible. Thx

  14. Hi, I want to buy the EFM version, and in the DCS site this module is not for purchase yet, and in the VEAO site, i didn't saw a "Sign up" option, only "Sign in". i can buy it there, but without a user? :huh: I'd like to know how to buy the EFM version please Thx

Hi all There is something that is not clear for me, in the startup procedure of the UH-1H the throttle should be fully closed, so there is no fuel flow at all, right? so how it is possible to start the engine without fuel? and the throttle remains closed till 40% N1. or i missing something? maybe there is another system that supply fuel for the startup? maybe it's the governor that bypass the fully closed throttle? But, in real life it works i guess, the engine is starting up when the throttle is fully closed(past the idle stop), but in DCS UH-1H if you fully closing the throttle(past the idle stop) the engine won't start. So, why in real life the engine starts when the throttle is fully closed? and why in DCS UH-1H the engine won't start when the throttle is fully closed? for example, i know that in the Bell 206, first you fully closing the throttle(past the idle stop) and pressing and holding the starter, and at a given N1(at about 15%, depends the temps) you open the throttle to idle to able fuel for the startup, so how is it works in the UH-1H? Thx
