  1. Looking good. Yeah my old shortcut gave me a 404. confused me for a few secondsthen realised the website had been updated the custom 404 error emage is a nice touch. Loving your work guys
  2. Had there been a second person in the cockpit on this occasion they could have let the pilot in and the psycho who locked the pilot out and murdered 150 innocent people probably wouldn't have been able to carry out this atrocity. Doing something to keep 150 people alive isn't ridiculous.
  3. I dont think its mocking. everyone knows chuck is as hard as a coffin nail. in his movies he's a one man ass kicking machine, the reality is that he really is! no mocking, sir chuck of norris is metal!!!!
  4. Not in front of my Sim PC at the moment but from memory you will have to go into the DCS World folder then under mods/aircraft each module has its own folder. Within each of those folders is a bin folder which has a file ending _protect.exe (eg a10_protect.exe). Run this and you should have the option to de-activate.
  5. I actually have some pdf copies of A320 manuals somewhere at home from when I was flying the A320 for a virtual airline, If I can find them when I'm back home this weekend I'll see what it says about the operation of this switch.
  6. Oh my God!. If the news it true this is the most shocking thing I've ever heard! deliberately crashing a plane and killing all those innocent passengers, what kind of person would do such a thing? If he wanted to top himself why not just jump off a tall building or drive off a cliff, why take everyone else with him. Im shocked and appalled that a human being could do such a thing. How can someone that disturbed slip through the net and become a pilot?
  7. It is strange that the descent was controlled, ie constant rate and airspeed which doesn't suggest mid air collision or an emergency (IMHO). Only time will tell when the investigations gather more information. Whatever the cause it is very sad news.
  8. ah crap! I'll wind my neck in  Ok so it hasn't been a year since that post.. damn you Flagrum with your incorrect date format! Knocked me off my soapbox there haven't you! BST are still bad at completing projects which puts me off buying the Mig-15, bought the F-86 not realising it was BST, I would have boycotted that too had I realised!
  9. No no no! The English Mi-8 manual was kind of released a while ago but it isn't finished. there is still a lot of Russian text in the English manual. Looking for the post I'm alarmed to see that it WAS OVER A YEAR AGO (12-03-2014, 11:05 PM when the below message was posted!) Unfortunately Belsimtek are EXTREMELY POOR at releasing manuals in a timely fashion. The fact that over 12 months has passed since the admission that draft release manual needed improvement and it still hasn't appeared makes me think that they aren't that interested in completing the Mi-8. How many half finished projects can they put on the back burner to concentrate on new projects they can half finish? I would buy the Mig-15, but until BST can complete a project I don't think I want to give them anymore money! I'm sure I'm not the only one. I was "oh its beta they are busy on other stuff" then I checked the date on that quoted post and 12 months is beyond a joke!
  10. Wow, those renders are amazing and thats without proper textures, imagine how good the finished cockpit will look.... Keep up the good work there's money here set aside for this one!
  11. How do you know all that??? respect is due.... :D
  12. Isn't that the arrestor hook? going to have to have a look at some tomcat pics now to work out if thats what we're looking at. edit: yup, look at render 6 you can see them on the render that leatherneck posted in the announcement, just goes to show how impressive the 3D model is.
  13. Wow, what an announcement and what a thread... 52 pages and counting with plenty of grins and smiles along the way. Yes, a Tornado with it's wings swept :music_whistling: The Tomcat is indeed an iconic aircraft and I've always liked it since seeing TopGun as a kid. However with the benefit to age and experience I can see TopGun for the Hollywood tosh it is. nice aircraft, crappy dialog and script. One of the first you tube videos I ever saw was one of the "topgun is gay" videos which must be 8 years ago which Tarantino's sums up as only he can in the video earlier in this thread. nice work Leatherneck look forward to throwing money at you! :pilotfly:
  14. Buzzles, I have to agree, I actually deleted a whole paragraph rant about the lawsuit culture we seem to have adopted from over the pond, but as weeb is north of the border he will have seen the advert I was quoting. I was in a car accident last April and I am still getting phone calls from "ambulance chasers" despite me telling them I'm not interested as my insurance is high enough already without more freeloaders wanting something for nothing...
  15. Broken light and massive hole in ground... hmmm you can afford to upgrade the PC or buy more DCS modules now "Where there's blame there's a claim" and all that....
  16. Ah, latin eh? Thanks for the education. I'd encountered google hits which referred to bison, so i thought it was the nato designation. then i noticed other planes also used bis so the tiny brain got confused and had to ask the question. cheers guys watch this space for daft questions.
  17. Sorry if this is a dumb question but I cant seem to google the answer myself. The Mig-15 has bis after the model number and ive seen the mig 21 with bis and without. can someone explain what bis means as i cant find the answer myself.
  18. Well I'm only on adsl and im getting upto 1.7Mb/s when DCS auto updates. When DCS updated itself this afternoon it was peaking at 1.7Mb/s
  19. superb news, a great addition to the toy box :)
  20. I've just joined the club... just need to find the time to take her for a spin...
  21. that looks better... nice work, but that's such a shame to destroy a good wheel, i was gutted when my g25 blew up a few years back after not being used for 6 months. necessity is the mother of invention though. no toe brakes though!. Where are you? im in the UK and have and have a spare set of saitek rudder pedals (ordered 2 pairs by mistake and I failed to arrange to return the surplus set!) we could have come to some sort of arrangement Im sure!
