Got myself a new computer and have installed DCS on it but I would like to copy all my control setups over from the old computer to the new one. What file, folder(s) or such should I copy over? Chief

.... I'm setting up a NEW computer and wondered what is the best way to reinstall everything I have via DCS? Sounds like a silly question but I'd just as soon do it right as redo it several times guessing ... Chief

Well if you can, get the 86 jocks up as high as you can because from what I've read the 15 does much better at higher altitudes than the 86. Chief

Ok this is a follow up to my post above. I guess it's a border line complaint. But I honestly just want to understand HOW to accomplish a purchase here so when the next sale comes along I can do so. First I purposely use the initial of my first name and then my full middle name on my card. But normally I go by my middle name. But if I do not use it as it is on my bank card, it will not go through as I understand it. However I was advised to use my middle name and last only. I tired this and it did not work. Od course I tried it as it is on my card and that did not work. Then though I chose UNITED STATES, I was advised to change it to United Kingdom. I don't understand how that will help since my card was issued in America. This information came a tad too late for me to try it. I thank those of DCS who tried to help me but my question is simply, why is it so difficult for some of use to purchase on here? I have no problem else where, i.e. Steam, 777, 1CGS, as examples. Hopefully I can get this sorted out by the next sale. Chief

I'll add my voice to this as it doesn't like my card either .... I keep getting the "USE A DIFFERENT CARD" message. My card works every where but not here. I buy from 777 and Steam all the time. Chief

Thanks Demon but nope ..... the module was there a week or so back and I probably in error tried to activate it and that went away. Now only the availability to BUY is there and under the aircraft installed the 109 does not appear. We'll get it straightened out, no sweat .... just give them time to work their magic. Chief

I have version 1.2.12.34915 And a week or so back in the module manager it showed I had the 109. I tried to activate it and it went away. No 109. now with todays update I show the little icon for the 109 but no activation. It was gifted to me. I looking for the link where I can once again see that it is activated. Not showing up in game yet. Chief

Problem solved .... seems in my infamous wisdom I assigned it to a switch on my joystick. Which I had conveniently forgotten. Thank to all of you for taking the time to try and help an OLD knucklehead. Chief

I'll check again Flare ... right or left ALT? ..... Thanks Golan I checked my mapping and pretty sure I did ...also to be clear it's the lever on the lower left right. And in a mouse over it says it's the throttle lock. Chief

I'll try that Golan but I think we remapped that .... I'll recheck it ... Yep Demon that's what mine looks like ..... Thanks guys ... Chief Just checked the Dora again and still no throttle. Golan I had remapped the throttle lock to Ctrl+X and that works fine as does clicking on it. But no joy with the throttle. Doesn't seem to make any since with it working ok in the P51 does it?

Ok it's been awhile since I tackled the Dora so I thought I'd spend some time with her. I decided to go online and practice some. Everything went well after my launcher updated and I proceeded online. Once on the tarmac I began my start up sequence. However when I got to the Throttle It would not move. I unlocked the throttle and it would still not move. I checked my throttle setup under AXIS and it was ok. But I set it up again to be sure. No joy, it still did not work. I checked my throttle (Saitek X52 Pro) for connectivity and it was good. So I'm stumped. So I reboot the sim. And have the same results. So I reboot the computer to flush any squirrels that might have got loose. Restarted the sim and came up with the same results. No throttle. So I bring up my P51 and it works fine throttle and all. I had flown Rise of flight earlier before the computer reboot and everything worked fine. Last night on Battle of Stalingrad every thing worked fine. What might I be doing wrong here? Chief

Which LUA's should I keep specifically for the setup? Wait ... I'm going to guess .... base_joystick_binding.lua ..... base_keyboard_binding.lua ... and modifiers/lau? Do I just copy those over after creating a default folder for the orginal settings? Chief

Would it be advisable to uninstall the Steam Version of DCS World first? Chief

Ok, to be clear. I have the Steam version of DCS World and P-51 Mustang installed. A friend of mine gifted me the Dora. I haven't seen a Steam version up so I'm assuming it's straight from here. I have the key he gave me. I downloaded the Dora from here and pointed the install towards my Steam folder and the DCS World folder. However it stated I need to update my DCS World to 1.2.10.30996. But when I check my DCS World version in game it is the same version as they ask for. I do not seem to be able to install the Dora past this. Any suggestions or ideas?? Chief
