  1. Hello, as per title and after many requests I have made upgraded tactile switches available for purchase (as a 5x pack to make the shipping cost and time worth it) https://www.ebay.ca/itm/234357181434 Rated for 1,000,000 operations and around 150N. Assembled in Canada, mechanical parts made in EU, PCB in China. Note the PCB's will be RED and will look different than the stock ones shown Cheers and Happy New Year.
  2. The price of the kit has been dropped by $10CAD. And this is as low as it will go, lower and it's not worth the time to produce at this quality. Cheers
  3. You can send the DIN connector to me and I can ship it back with a new cable installed, you'd have to fish it through and install. I'm worried as it looks like you plugged the HALL sensor there to the wrong socket, hope you didnt try to plug that to USB. Otherwise I can sell you just the cable, which won't have coloured strands, and you will need to run it through and solder to the DIN connector. Same price as repair of PCB for either option. (search bricked warthog on ebay)
  4. Yeah, it's not really a great idea to flash the controller firmware if it's working. It definitely doesn't prevent bricking as we now know full well.
  5. Hello, I just wanted to share another upgrade and repair part that I am offering for the Hog. This time it's upgraded EAC/RDR ALTM/LASTE switches with PCB. The kit does require soldering over 7 wires to install. The switches are heavy duty US brands with sealed bushings. The PCB features ESD protection to decrease the chance of burning out the Main PCB due to static discharge. Heavier feel than original. Direct Fit install that's 50x easier than trying to source and swap an individual switch for most people. Direct through Paypal I can offer them at $60CAD + $15CAD shipping to USA/Canada (PM if interested) eBay Listing is here: https://www.ebay.ca/itm/233981402643 I know it's not super super cheap, but the parts alone are high grade and cost a bit to acquire. Thank you, and hope this helps to maintain the hogs some more.
  6. Well someone else might assume that is a permanent fix, and get surprised when it's not, hence the crashing harder reference. You probably just bought yourself time to get a replacement (time will tell though how long it lasts). For me it was a USB version thing, even if it was a powered hub the version made a difference. Didn't even measure voltage.
  7. Wow, well that's interesting. Congrats though, normally unrecognized USB devices = toast, especially the throttle
  8. Yes, there is warranty, until it runs out. Yes it still can happen. One of these days if I get enough time I might start selling something to fix the issue. I have already started plans on it and done work but it's not a top priority because right now TM are still providing warranty services and do sell replacements (usually slowly) if your warranty is out. And the replacement is not the cost of a new throttle. (and of course I offer the repair service for less) If shit hits the fan I will be there (and was when TM closed doors due to COVID for a bit).
  9. I do say in my listing that the processor is replaced most of the time. I'm not going to say any more. I'm offering the service at a low enough price that I don't feel I need to share everything, and I don't feel my work should be reverse engineered. If you want to figure something out, do it yourself on your own PCB, or go after Thrustmaster, and leave me alone.
  10. In my experience it can sometimes help switching from a USB3 port/hub to USB2 etc as well. But it's all quite temporary I have found, so not a real fix. (Edit: please don't get your hopes up if you have a bricked throttle, youre going to crash harder )
  11. Yes I think it's bricked. I do service the main PCB's if you check on ebay. You do need to send in your's though so there's shipping both ways. Should be a faster/cheaper for most people in the US. Or he can get it fixed https://www.ebay.ca/itm/Repair-Service-Thrustmaster-Warthog-Throttle-Main-PCB-Bricked-Warthog-Fix/233195609114
  12. Hi, curious a bit as to what do you mean by that? I'm the one selling pinky switches for the warthog on eBay, and it's not really from China. The companies that design and sell the switches I sell are US based (American companies), the distributors are US based, and the manufacturing according to their specs is usually done in China, like say Intel CPU's, or Iphone parts. There's a difference between that and some knockoff China company owned switch you can normally buy on aliexpress etc. For example the switch linked above on Aliexpress is designed and contracted by Salecom , a Chinese company. 1F, No. 61 Wu-Chyuan Road, Wugu District, New Taipei City 24886, Taiwan You won't find it sold by reputable resellers in the west. (just saying, there's a lot of stuff Made In China, but it's not all the same, it depends who puts their name on it and designs it / QA's it)
  13. I have quite a bit of stock of actual quality (US companies) switches here in Canada https://www.ebay.ca/itm/Thrustmaster-Warthog-Throttle-replacement-Pinky-Switch-/233190636530 You get what you pay for with switches pretty much always (not talking about TM support), the brand matters. Most of the time ordering aliexpress switches you get stuff that's far inferior to what you get from a proper supplier when it comes to electro mechanical stuff.
  14. Yes what you have is repairable. Hence the repair service. :music_whistling::)
  15. On the other side of the coin, a number of people have contacted me recently stating TM didn't even reply to them , or said there is nothing they can do with COVID around. So I've obviously had a lot more service orders recently. Cheers
  16. There is no sending of the grip , I accept only switches for refurbishment and you keep your stick/throttle and can use it without. You need to remove them to send them in. If I sold push switches without you having to send in the push buttons, it would require the you open the HAT's or Push button yourself and swap them out, which requires good mechanical and soldering skills.
  17. I can sell the special "push in" center switches (or push button switches) separately if someone is interested, but not the side to side switches.
  18. I am offering a service to refurbish and upgrade the multi way switches in Thrustmaster Warthog sticks and throttles, as well as the push button internals. The upgraded HAT's will have an improved tactile side to side switching feel. (by a factor of approximately 2x from original). The HAT's internals will also last much longer than the original ones! You need to remove the switches and send them in for the upgrade service, shipping is $9USD per first switch and $1 for additional. Note that you can keep using your stick/throttle with a removed switch or switches if you like. This is useful if your switches are working intermittently, are stuck or not working, and/or you have a bricked stick or throttle and are getting the unbricking service from me. Direct through paypal I can do 35USD per multi way switch https://www.ebay.ca/itm/233514634768 The replaced components are rated for 1,000,000 operations for push in and 200,000 operations for side to site switching. The components are brand name and not some cheap knockoffs. Components Made in USA, Canada and Japan. Direct through paypal I can do $8 per Push Button https://www.ebay.ca/itm/233514516264 The replaced components are rated for 1,000,000 operations. The components are made with/are brand name components and not some cheap knockoffs. Components Made in USA and Canada. Note: This service does not replace broken plastic caps/knobs!
  19. This is all true but the problem is who has access to what info. You're talking about governments, and the ISP. Those places don't easily give up the information that might compromise you unless you are their enemy (okay there are exceptions and we know it, but it's a bit unusual). So this is a problem. Running any business you are well aware of client data security and how this is not kosher. It's similar to your doctors office just selling your medical records to an insurance company that you are considering using without your consent.
  20. Yeah I am with the OP, this is a pretty shitty practice. Just reminds me of what I always said about free antivir software though, it's your own best virus most of the time. Popups, slows you down, runs out occasionally and doesn't work etc. And add to that this data tracking/selling, and you've got a pretty damn high risk virus.
  21. Got these back in stock. Ebay pricing is $12 shipped in Canada, $15 shipped to the US and $17 shipped everywhere else. I can do 10% lower through paypal/DM.
  22. Yes absolutely, there is a calibration program. Just contact TM support. I don't want to share it as I don't recall the licensing on it. They use it as part of production as each piece of hardware is different. The problems reported here look like they will be resolved with calibration.
  23. My lack of reprojection was indeed the windows version, I had 1803 and going to 1903 made the reprojection work right away. I notice however a drop of 15% in raw FPS now in DCS (15% longer frametime), however with reprojection working things are looking bloody great now (smooth)! Thanks for the help/tips guys.
