  1. That was quick ....... Out of stock. Glad I got my order in.
  2. I still have my old franken52-FFB2 set up but both sticks are getting old. My FFB2 is 17 years old. This just seemed like such a good deal though and I know eventually my old rig will die so it was a no brainier. Just last week I saw some Warthogs going for $700 on Amazon.... $429 looks damn good...
  3. Wow.... you know thisis a great product.. if these guys would offer up a little bit more support .. The MV was screwed up with the last update ..
  4. I am not sure if this is the correct place to post this. I am trying to get back into simming.. and I wanted to make some skins.. Just last week I was using the model viewer and it worked fine. Tonight when I tried to use it the model loaded up fine .. but when I tried to load up the liveries there is no longer a place to put the path to the liveries. Does anyone know how to fix this? Normally the box on the left would have a place to type the path to the livery .. and then the liveries wold appear in the right window to select..
  5. This was exactly what happened to me... I haven't been back in there but I will try it out again this morning.
  6. Thanks guys i will check that out.. I am still perfecting my stick setup as well. Maybe I didn't let the engine warm up enough... I will also checjk that starter switch.. although I thought it was spring loaded.
  7. I came here to post about a similar issue.. ony with me I can barely make it to the runway and my engine just shuts off.. and I cannot get it restarted.. If I didn't know better I would think I was starved for fuel or something.
  8. I am still waiting for my Jug and Spit.. and I will probably jump on the P-40 as soon as possible..
  9. Never mind .. I fixed the short... ;)
  10. I am finally getting around to really making a decent profile for my sticks for the P-51. I already have axii assigned to brakes L & R, pitch, roll, yaw, rpm and all the trims.. I am now trying to utilize all the sliders on my sticks so I am trying to assign one to canopy crank, and one to carb air and ram air.. and for some reason I cannot get it to work. I thought all I had to do was hit Axis Assign and then slide the axis I wanted.. I thought sure that was how I did it last time but it just does not work... Am I suffering from a short between the headset or is something wrong... ?
  11. Ge Mo Niza! ROFLMAO! Thanks man..
  12. OK I managed to get both viewers to open. The standalone opens with the exe in the edModelViewer folder.. the in game one opens with the batch file. The stand alone viewer opens up and all the models are black as if in silhouette with no textures at all. The in game one that isd in the bin folder opens up with the stock default skins. In the case of the in game one in the bin folder ... You have the viewer open.. the model is up with the skin of the green Mustang with the DDay stripes.. What steps would you use to change that skin to a custom one that you made if that skin was in the usual folder for skins. I tried putting skins in the temp folder but they do not change from the default. I don't know maybe I am just dense.. I don't remember it being this complicated in the past.. in fact from my memory it was very intuitive..
  13. I just also realized something else... the batch file in my main DCS folder points to ......../Eagle Dynamics/DCS World/bin/Modelviewer.exe .. which means that it is not pointing to the standalone viewer and that is probably why the temp textures do not sow up.. but that brings me back to my other question.. If this is pointing to the viewer in bin then why can I not find a poath to load a skin into the viewer.. Gadzooks man.. This is frustrating..
  14. No the standalone does not crash anymore.. the one in the bin folder does.. I just can't get my skins to show up in the standalone.. I put it in :D:\Games\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\edModelViewer\Bazar\TempTextures and I still get the default skin when the viewer opens.
  15. Yeah... ok that is the one that crashes all the time.. and I still do not see where to bring up the textures that I put into the standalone.. Man o day... I don't remember this being this complicated.. is it just me or what?
  16. Which batch file...? The one in the main folder seems to link to the standalone.
  17. Ahhh! Got it.. To use the included one do you have to have the sim booted?
  18. Ahh! Sop it is a manual load then? Hmmm .. It has been a while..
  19. Rgr that.. I prefer the standalone viewer.. One more question.. I forgot how to load a skin.. I don't see the option in the Menu anywhere.. am I missing something?
  20. Hmmmm I got it to open.. but the active window where the model is was smal and to the left.. I then shut that down and opened the batch file in the DCS main folder again. It opened up full screen like I remember. It sees there are two paths to the viewer.. One is ..../Eagle Dynamics/DCS World/edModelviewer and the other is /Eagle Dynamics/DCS World/bin/Modelviewer I previously had the latest ModelViewer installed.. but I found a post that suggested that I use ver 94949 so I did that. I am thinking thsat the batch file thaty is in the DCS main folder named Viewer opens up the edModelViewer folder that is in the main folder.. Perhaps my problem was my newer version of the viewer.. Thanks for the assist George..
  21. Yes I see it in the task bar.. The batch file opens.. an icon appears in the task bar.. but it never opens up on the desktop. When I mouse over the icon I can see a thumbnail of the viewer.. but when I try to open/maximize it.. crashes.
  22. I am getting back into DCS.. and I am trying to open the model viewer... The Batch file opens up but that's it.. Am I doing something wrong?
  23. Thanks guys for your help.. I got it.. So with these updated lua files should I redo the lua files on my P-51 and tghe ones of my squadmates?
  24. OK where did you put your custom files.. in the same folder as the P-51 skin.. with the description.lua file?
