I like ubi.com because I think player hosted servers are more fun. The 24/7 hyperlobby servers are ok, but you just seem to have more fun in the ubi.com servers. (when I played 1.02) I guess because I could own all the people who had 1.02 :)

Does increasing the detecting range put out a stronger wave of radar? (or whatever you call it) In other words, say you are trying to pick up a low flying maneuvering Su-33 about 40 miles away. Obviously you would put the altitude scan range lower, but what about the range? If you put it to 160 will the radar "waves" be more spread out and therefore the detection probability decrease?

actually, I saw in the military.com forums the exact same soundclip of the sonic boom in lock on from a F-105 thunderchief breaking the barrier. I suppose it was recorded from a pretty big distance. And is there really much of a difference between mach .98 and 1.0? The pressure cone is just moved back a few feet (or less maybe).

the f15 is definitely no super plane and the amraam is definitely no supermissle. sure you can unload 8 of them and run away at mach 2, but it means nothing if they dont hit.

done quick question how can I quickly bring up the FLIR on a laser guided bomb strike, from say the ground radar screen?

lol the more I play F4AF the more I want to play lock on :) I think its an awesome game, but these days games have to be much more immersive like lock on.

So sorry if this is against the rules, (Ill delete it) its just that all the falcon 4 AF forums are pretty slow. How do you do the training missions? When I load them, they put me in an f16 with a laser guided bomb and expect me to do everything myself. No tracks, no voice over, no text to explain it. Thx in advance :)

Well yeah, it would be, if that "alien extermination" treaty were true. We would be calling the war then, not "them." As for them being all that more powerfull then us, I dono. I mean, all it is is trans dimension hyperdrive :) . Just because aliens would have that wouldn't mean they would automatically have the ability to wipe us out. If thats what your saying.

So I noticed there was no 1 sound file for flyby sounds. The ones we have now are just so dam annoying. When a plane is near mach, it gives out this ear piercing extremely high pitched swooshing sound, then when it passes, its still too high pitched. I want a rumble like you hear in real life, and I have the sound clips, but I guess the game just alters the frontengine sound and backengine sound for the flyby. So no chance of getting rid of these deafening flyby sounds?

Loved that movie. And isn't there an international treaty signed that calls for the world to exterminate all extraterrestrial life we encounter? I've got 1 wish in life, and that is if there ever will be a battle between the human race and one from another planet, that I am alive to see it (or better yet, participate in it) :)

No one ever says Independence day... IMO that movie is more realistic than half the "jet fighter" movies out there. And, 20000 times more entertaining.
