  6. now that is some supercool next level stuff :)
  7. Yes jumping operations at our airfield where limited to 3000ft. awesome to know that 2 A-10's are in the Netherlands. Didn't see them. I hope they can fly again soon.
  8. I also am willing to sell the unfinished panels (high quality engraved) to users outside the Netherlands. still available: CDU UFC Electric power panel Caution Panel EW panel real oxygen regulator I am also curious what a fair price would be for my ACES II replica.
  9. thanks man! I got the harness with risers from a Dutch Collector. I made the seat cushion myself from a rounded square cushion. The cushion for the back is an original one I got it from a guy that was selling his pit :)
  10. So still for sale: CDU (with pushbutton switches with green LED), button plate, and backplate. High quality engraved grey buttons. CAUTION (warning panel) with LED plate (without LED) and diffuser plate. the picture of a test with a green led strip i had speaks for itself. ----------------------- Hi guys I'm thinking about selling some items. This is not about giving up my dreamcockpit but a change of dream. My goal is to fly a wingsuit in 1 to 1,5 years from now on and I need some more money to get the jumps that are needed. My projector is now on the ceiling in my livingroom. So its a joy to sit on the couch and watch a movie on a 2 meter wide screen but I have to drag in my controls to play DCS. so that only happens every couple of weeks. So I want to know if people are interested. and I'll post more pics if you like. For Sale (Netherlands would be the most easy). Buttkicker Gamer 2 (complete with amp and mount + cables.) this was one of the best things I added to my pit. (feel the runway, firing mavs releasing MK82's with a nice *clunck* and rockets and of course the GAU-8 panels (all engraved): -CDU (+green led buttons and engraved buttons) -UFC (+green led buttons and engraved buttons with housing) -Electric power panel (with some switches.) -Caution panel -EW/countermeasure panel (without buttons) specials -original A-10 APU FIRE PULL Handle -original (F16) Oxygen panel -original (F16?/A10) center console light. (it's for above the fuel indicators.) -original ACES II locking Pin (for locking after de-arming the seat.) -original remove when arming label/flag -resin knob so you can cast your own -original frequency knob Aces II seat ACES II MDF replica for 90% complete with Deadman's awesome decal stickers, wooden handles, original (F16?) Seatback cushion and replica seat cushion. It also comes with a harness so you can connect yourself to the seat. you only need to paint some things and make a mechanism for the handles. (the gloves are not for sale.) If you are in the Netherlands you can come and look at the seat and If you want to buy it and don't have room in your car i'll deliver. in the meantime I'll keep my HOTAS Warthog and rudders. here is a pic of some of the panels and little things:
  11. Here is a small update from my new home. I got a dedicated sim room and I need to start building again but i'm very busy at work and in my weekends I got other cool stuff to do. I recently started skydiving so most of my money will go to jumping but I promise i'll work on my pit on weather holds!! :)
  12. Hi guys my pit is currently on hold because i'm learning to skydive! :D below you will find the video I made from my 4th staticline jump. i'm the guy in the blue jumpsuit with the biggest smile as the #2 jumper. Thanks to DCS I get positive comments about flying the landing patterns and get pretty accurate at landing close to the target. My friends are in a band called Funkybros (because all of them are brothers except 1). So the first two tracks are made by them. I think it fits pretty well. 1 tip to all simmers: start skydiving it will blow your mind! You can build your pit on weather holds :)
  13. Holy smoke gongratulations with the awesome trainer! I guess it's good karma that you finally got one after helping a lot of dogs out with info knobs and awesome decals. Have a good one :joystick:
  14. Thanks a lot for the reply! Looks like this big momma will fit in my room. It looks huge in your pics. :joystick:
  15. That is one amazing fuselage nobrot! I want to build one too since I want to start building my final version of my pit. can you tell me the length of the frame and how wide it is it the widest point? if it isn't too much of a hassle i am curious how much distance there is from the pedals to the front part of the hull. (for the viewing distance for my projector.) then I can see if it fits in my pit room :D
  16. Hi Zahry, can you also make one with a curve? that way it would fit nicely in my new pit. forgot to mention: i'm happy with the product and the great service
  17. Awesome job RK! How did you place the LEDs do you need to drill the plexiglass or glue them on? Also a question for anyone: I have some IKEA LED strips are they Sufficient for a row of panels or is it better to use LEDS so the backlighting looks nice like RK's? Edit: one little hint, you possibly are aware but the fuel panel would be better placed in front of your throttles.
  18. I have read this topic and I had to respond. I had a big smile when I read " early 50th birthday present" the " old guys rule" posts. I'm 26 and when I think of the time I was drinking with the same friends I still have when I was 18 I always feel old. We love our simulator and the TM hotas warthog is just an amazing piece of hardware and so it seems, an all age man cave toy. I also gave it to myself as a totally necessary gift. have a good one guys :pilotfly: Ontopic: I only used TARGET to update my firmware and to set the backlighting for the throttles at the same level as the LED strips in my pit. I edited the curves and all the other stuff in the controls menu in DCS.
  19. without the intent of sounding like john rambo here: I'm very experienced with firearms and have seen and in some occasions felt my share of ricochets. they occur with a wide range of materials at different velocities and different rounds. Near water I have no experience with ricochets and it is possible.. possibly the angle will have to be small but you never know... If it disturbs you in DCS, as you can't see the bottom in the water let's imagine the water is very low and the richochets are from rocks/coral :D
  20. I am back into guitar playing that is the reason my pit build is progressing very slowly. What I'm trying to achief ng THE David Gilmour (comfortably numb solo) sound. l'll post some pics & settings later. Guitars & amp Ibanez GRG 170DXBKN Steelstring Western guitar Roland Micro Cube 15XL My effects: MXR DYNACOMP PROCO RAT II Digitech Screamin' Blues overdrive Digitech Digital Delay. the compressor gives my sound more attack/dynamics and sustain. The RAT is the main distortion for a nice fat sound with even more sustain. The overdrive unit boosts the RAT and gives me control on the low/mid range. (very little overdrive selected.) For the delay pedal I use the Vintage Tape Delay setting with 0 repeats and around 500ms delay. I'm still scaping my tone but the sound I have now is very very cool and is starting to sound like PULSE or the album version of Comfortably Numb. It gives you the idea of the BIG sound. I might buy a Little Big Muff Pi pedal to get a really sick tone but have to wait for the new month for my toy budget :P because I want to continue building my pit also.
  21. take the left MFCD, go to the stat page. Press next for the next page. Then you see the line Thrtl or something (throttle.) then choose your slew speed/sensitivity just like you do with the mavs and you are done :) works for the TGP :) edit : I love my warthog stick. good quality, nice leds and works great with DCS A-10C.
  22. I love the maneuvrability, loiter time, the gun, survivability. What's also great is the design and the way all the systems work, all the backups. I really enjoy the safe escape moves after an attack(like jinxing, dumping flares) and reattacking.
  23. Hi Flim, nice design and awesome seat! I like the idea of the springs to give it a more realistic feel. I have some questions: -Do we need to drill trough the warthog base plate to connect the springs? -Is there an offset option. -How do we connect the tube (we need to get) to your 3D printed parts. -Does it also come with the the feared and famous modded PS2 cable? I just bought some ceiling mounts for my projector so the toybudget is gone allready but i'm curious for future.
  24. cool team guys, keep up the good work. the hull is looking cool If you want help with making your own ACES II seat feel free to PM me. I got all the adresses and plans and some spare parts.
