Try the game in sim mode, hopefully you, wont get a crash, try it and report. but tbh, at end of the day, your be better pilots, by playing in sim mode ;)

try that site that skatezilla posted, it worked for me, i had to add the ports in, as i couldn't see my mates games listed. just find your router on the site for the info , on how to enter the ports open

i too, have come across this dam, Ive used 12 Vikhr rockets, to the front of the dam, think you need to hit the dam wall from the inside of the lake, picture 2 like they did in the real dam busters, but tbh, it cant be destroyed
