Got it Skall...thanks a lot. Now when I try to install the latest a10 from Dcs , it says it can't install version 1.2.2.7286 to older version 1.2.2.7204 even though I have had version 1.2.2.7286 installed since 11/10. Any thoughts?? Do I need to delete Dcs world and all of my modules and saved games and then reinstall?

I also got A10 from steam and found my cd key..however on Steam it only shows most of the key with "..." at the end indicating that htere is more to the key. I have NOT been able to find the rest of the key....any HELP, Please?

How about Steam Version Hi guys..new A10 Jockey here....Does this also apply to the Steam version??.. can I use the key from steam for DCS World? Thanks

I downloaded all the new files, deleted saved games and when I click on the new EXE file, my computer keeps asking me for Disk !. I have all of the new files together in a new folder. Any suggestions??? I am going to try a new fresh download of the files.??

Thanks again Wild Bill..one more question...I am new to Windows 7 only had it about a month...Is there a trick to disabling the background tasks?? I have looked and not been able to find how to do this. I thought that might be part of the problem here also. I feel kind of stupid asking this, but what the hell. Thanks again. Stiffstarch

Thanks Wild Bill...I deleted saved games folder and reprogrammed key and axis responses and I got them back...but still stuttering badly. I have the settings at the lowest default settings, simulation mode. Unchecked "Disable aero" box. Only get a smooth flight about 10% of the time...yes about once or twice per 10 tries. I thought this last version is the final version and not in beta anymore. Still needs a patch, i think....the earlier versions were at least smooth and flyable...I may try to go back to one of those versions as I still have them saved on an external hard drive. DCS Mustang Stability or Unstability? I am hoping somebody might help me or at least let me know if this is occuring to others. I got a new system last month and downloaded the latest version of DCS World and the P51 module. Ever since then, i have varying degress of performance or lack of, namely stuttering of screen and abberrant behavior. A few times, the program ran fantastically ..smooth and fast, but most of the time the program stutters. I have tried disabling the internet, shut down anti virus programs I thought might be running in background, reduced texture and resolution to the lowest settings, etc. Tonite, the keyboard controls failed to work such as F1, F2, etc to change views. I had to go back and re-apply the key commands...default was missing. During flight, the Escape key would not work and I had to use Task Manager to shut down. Any clues as to what is happening here??..is it me, my system or the program is just unstable. Previous versions ran fine. My system specs: OS Windows 7, 64 bit, Hewlett- Packard, AMD FX-6120 Six core processor, 3.5 Ghz, 10 Gb Ram, AMD Radeon 7450 Graphics card with 1.0 Gb adaptable RAM any help would be greatly appreciated. Can anyone give me a clue as to how to apply new skins to the P51? I have tried to search for links to this, but have been unsuccessful. Also, has anyone had any performance issues since the latest patch to DCS World?, , mine seems to have gone backwards with stuttering and slowness of the program, even on the lowest settings?

HOW DO I SET WEIGHT AND SPEED FOR AI HEY THERE..saw your post about beating the AI mustang 1 V 1. I am new here and just trying to get in the air was a challenge. Now I find myself completely beaten by super STANG AI. How did you change the weight and speed for the AI in the 1 V 1 single mission. I feel like a complete dunce here..keep looking in the editor but can't find where to change opponents values. Thanks

AI Too Good? I echo what a lot of you have been saying. I thought I knew enough about dogfighting to at least give a good account of myself...NO WAY. I didn't know I would be up against Adolf Galland!!! Guess I will try to vary fuel load as some of you have done. Still pretty damn scary.

Adding Skins? How am I able to use some of the new skins for the P51 that have been created? Can I use them in the single missions or are the skins for those scripted? Thanks. John (aka stiffstarch)
