  1. Having a similar issue. I open the forum up in my browser (Firefox 16.01) and all looks good, lots of unread posts. I start reading using the view unread icon, and start reading. BUT if I leave the computer for a bit (answer the phone, let the dog out, hit the head....) when I comeback EVERYTHING is marked as READ!. I too, looked at all of the options to see if there is some setting to turn on/off to fix this, and don't see anything. Any idea as to why this is occurring?
  2. Strange, must be a regional thing. I had to re-install BS1, when I did the BS2 1.2.1 upgrade.
  3. I have been playing the Georgian Hammer CA campaign, since 1.2.0. After the 1.2.1 upgrade, I was at mission 7-1-0. Only issue I had here was that I get the message that the two ground units are ready to advance, but after I clear out some of the tanks in the way, I go to the F10 other menu and there is no way to tell them to go. I cleared every thing and hung around waiting for them to move, finally gave up and exited. Came back later and selected the campaign and next, and it gave me 7-2-0. All was good, completed that mission, back to campaign screen, hit next, got 8-2-0. Looked at the time and decided it was too late to play, so I exited out back to windows. Came back next day, was assigned 8-1-0? Same issue as 7-1-0, no way to tell ground units to advance! Shot up a bunch of stuff, got a Windows "program has stopped working" message. Only option to close program, ended up back at campaign screen, hit next. Got 8-2-0 again. Flew it, killed objectives, got a mission success you can RTB message. On to next, got 9-1-0. Same issue as other escort ground units missions, no way to contact them. Contacted JTAC took out first target assignments, got second target assignment. Sent wing man to kill AA gun emplacement, and Bang "Program has stopped working", back to campaign summary and now I get a "You have committed fratricide! And lost all of your kills?!?!" WTF!!! Tried again, got same 9-1-0 missing. Same issues as before, play for a while and "Program has stopped working", Hit close program, back to summary screen, Now it tells me I have been promoted to Captain!! Whoo Hoo, but before I can celebrate, I get "You have committed fratricide! And lost all of your kills?!?!" AGAIN! Back to campaign screen, hit next( hoping I don't get 9-1-0 again), I don't, but now I get 11-1-0??!!?? What happened to 10?
  4. I've been doing the "CA" since 1.2.0. The original campaign would not let me get past mission 3-1-0. I switched over to the CA campaign, and have gotten up to mission 8-1-0, but since 1.2.1.6288 I can get airborne and Start hitting targets, but after a few kills, I get a Win7 pop up that "program has stopped responding" with the only option to close program. I click on close program and DCS:World comes back up like I had quit out of the mission.
  5. Same here, haven't had NAV on any PC I own for about the same time. I thought about trying it again, but a friend got ripped off by upgrading to a newer version, right after they had renewed. Norton wouldn't apply the renewal to the new version. Been using Vipre too, original company (Sunbelt Software) was aces to deal with, haven't had much interaction with new owners...
  6. Same here only mine were License0 and License1
  7. Searched registry, found 2 subkeys under the Keys key, (wow that sounds pretty confusing:cry:) they were called license0 and license1, exported them just in case and deleted them one at a time. Fired up World after deleting the first, no joy. After deleting the second one, activation worked fine!! Viper you are a prince among men ! Thank you! I'll edit my ticket and let them know I have gotten BS2 activated.
  8. Since the 1.2.1 upgrade, I have not been able to get BS2 to activate. I was one of the early birds that read the version of the instructions that said DO NOT DEACTIVATE your products!. I read and printed out those instructions and started downloading. I uninstalled World 1.2.0 via the Win7 control panel, and installed 1.2.1. Brought it up to make sure it worked then shut it down and installed A-10C 1.2.1 module. Brought it up and activated A-10C. Installed CA 1.2.1, brought it up and activated it. Now to the problem child! I mistakenly installed BS2 1.2.1 (full version) when I brought up world and tried to open BS2 I entered my serial number and it failed. I then realized what I had done, so I deleted the Ka-50 directory, downloaded the BS2 1.2.1 UPGRADE version. I tried to install it but it came back and said BS1 must be installed! I fired up Steam and tried to run BS, it wouldn't work. I ran the Steam file checker and it said it had to download all of the files again. After it got done I started BS1 up in steam and it was working fine. I went back and ran the BS2 1.2.1 upgrade installer again, and this time it went with out a hitch. Fired up world and started BS2, activation screen popped up, with SN entered, clicked on next, got error about "integrity fault". Went to the Payments screen and double checked my SN for the upgrade, tried again... NO JOY! Opened ticket, still no response. I realize that there are probably lots of issues to be resolved with activations lost from the upgrade, but While I'd like to have my activations restored to my pre-upgrade amount, I'd really like to be able to get BS2 activated. BTW the BS2 activation screen come up EVERY time I do anything in A-10C too!:mad::mad: I am on the latest version of World 1.2.1.6192 Could someone from ED take a look at this and help me get rid of this now very annoying activation screen that pops up all the time!
  9. I ended up just having to download the first .bin file DCS_World_en_1.2.1.5970-1.bin I looked very carefully at the downloaded file sizes and that one was only 1.6 GB... Still having issues with BS2 though, won't activate.
  10. Spend nearly 8 hours downloading all 4 parts. Finally got all of them, put them in their own directory and ran the .exe file as admin, got "source file corrupted" Downloaded again this time from German Http server... same result. WTF!! Naturally this is AFTER I have already uninstalled 1.2.9 version. I'd try the FTP servers to see if they work, but they ask me for a user name password, am I supposed to use my forum id/password??
  11. Which Georgian Hammer are you playing? I was playing the one that came with the A10C/World and got stuck on the 4th mission (stuck as in I never could get a completed you may depart, so I could not advance). I found a fix posted for slow JTAC response that was working for that version. I was looking and found a newer version http://files.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/214325/ , This version lets me advance but the JTAC response time is SLOW!
  12. @cichlidfan.. I followed your suggestion and removed the files in question and restarted. I tried again to assign keys to the functions in DCS options (which works) , but I guess the dev's have disabled the joystick options for these two functions as they are dimmed. I did get the G11 G keys working though, although it seems backwards to me. I had to set up the keys in DCS options, THEN go to the Logitech Gaming software and enter the same keys there. I could have sworn that I had tested this the other way around, by setting the key strokes up in LGS, then going to DCS options and selecting the key cell, hitting add, then just hitting the Gnn key that I had set up, and it would pass the key strokes to DCS...
  13. I have been reading some posts about using the A-10C TGP and mavs to get multiple mavs off quickly. One of the suggestions was to assign the UFC Rocker up/down functions to joystick buttons. I though I'd give this a try, so I didn't have to take my hand off the stick to move the mouse over to the UFC rocker... BUT 1st. I was going to use my Logictech G11 G keys, but apparently you (or at least I ) can't pass modifiers from the G keys to DCS. Say I assign LWIN+UP to G16. When I try to use it in game, it only passes the UP.... 2nd. After deciding which buttons I was not using on my X52Pro, I tried to go into options, find the UFC Rocker UP / DOWN functions and click the joystick cell, then hit add. No joy! I click on the cell but the add button doesn't activate. 3rd. On the 2nd try there were not any key assignments for the UFC Rocker, and I sort of recall having a problem a few weeks ago not being able to assign joy buttons if there were no keys assigned. So I assigned keys to the UP/DOWN functions, then tried to assign joy buttons. Still NO JOY! Are there some functions that even though they are listed, can't be assigned to buttons, or are there a maximum number of assignments you can make... OR??? This is DCS World with the 1.2 version of A-10C....
  14. Which settings (A10C Game or A10C REAL) did you change the key settings for? And are you testing in training missions or ?? See my post just above yours.... Oh and in your DCS options are the new joystick commands highlighted in red? If so you need to add Joy_BTN_6 to the modifiers list. The only other gotcha I found was if you are using the twist on the joystick for rudders (as opposed to actually having real rudder pedals) you have to select the rudder axis and click default... otherwise no steering. Mind you I'm just as much a noob, if not more than you when it comes to this game...
  15. This game is making my head HURT!!!:pilotfly: I originally had A10C and BS1 on steam. And I then downloaded DCW world, the new A10C 1.2 module, and purchased the BS2 upgrade. All seems to be ok with that part. I then started looking around for profiles/lua files for my X52Pro, and I found this setup. I downloaded the zip file from page 4 of this topic, and installed per the directions. I WAS having problems with the X52 pinkie switch, but after wading through all 20 or so pages of the topic I got the JOY_BTN6 setup as a modifier. I am still having issues with the speed brake setup! The original (page one) posting by SFJACK says to change the fore/aft to "N" & "B" but the .PR0 file that I downloaded has the slider settings to "A" & "S"?!? yet the DCS keyboard settings are LSHIFT+B and LCONTROL+B. To further add to my confusion, there appears to be separate settings in the DCS controls for A10C GAME and A10C REAL. And even worse in GAME mode "A" & "S" have no conflicts, but "B" & "N" conflict with autolock nearest/previous surface targets. In REAL mode "B","N" & "S" have no conflicts, but "A" conflicts with LAAP engage/disengage. I'm sort of confused by the GAME/REAL settings. I'm trying to get through the manual, and the training before I start trying any missions. But from my feeble attempts to figure things out it looks to me like missions are played in GAME mode settings and the training sessions are in REAL mode settings?!?! :helpsmilie: Mike PS I did finally figure out how to change the key press assignments in SST for the band settings. What a PITA! you can's see the key settings until you "edit" the bands and drag the bands up/down so they are more or less equal, then click OK, then you can click on the current key assignment and type the new key you want. Then after changing the keys you have to go back to edit bands and set them back to 0-5%, 5%-95%, and 95%-100%...
