  1. i would feel really stoopid if I spent all that money and still crashed.. a stick for each aircraft... it would take a hanger to have them all ready to fly.
  2. I didn't say it was all the issues, but oxidation is contamination,...(just saying I have seen similar thing happen) but along similar issues... the high voltage rails being pushed higher than the design for that current...
  3. The AKA Wardogs squadron traces it's origins to the early 1980's. Today the Squadron is fortunate to have members from around the globe with various skills from diverse backgrounds. We participate in several flight sims including our own campaigns and are extending an open invitation to all pilots to fly with us in our DCS campaign. There is no obligation to join the AKA Squadron. The AKA has our own practice server with Monday nights dedicated to practice. We host our own DCS Campaigns on Thursday's and Saturday's from 5:30 PDT to 8:30 PDT. Attendance at these sessions is not mandatory. If your interested in flying with us and would like further information please 'REPLY here' in DCS forum or send a private message, and I will provide more information on how to join our sessions. 4. all this time i though someone was flipping a switch back and forth causing the flaky lock
  5. using Multi-threading? Oculus Tool Tray?
  6. while I am not going to rip apart any flight models...while not a pilot I flew in enough Hueys to know they got it very close.. I got to experience some very wild rides too not just the cruises while on active duty... re: the Apache... not sure if it's me, but if it is not on cement or cement like ground, the thing wants to tip over while running... to me it is like it is on the side of unstable... I would think it would be more planted the thing weighs a lot... it is not just me, lots of people I know have issues with it once away from the cement landing pads...
  7. I saw this available mod, 'CH-47F Reduced Engine Intake Whine, Increased Rotor Sounds' any helo I was around or rode in, the Turbine is by far the Loudest sound, inside the helo, and even on the immediate outside.. the blade sounds are from further out. Hundreds of feet and more you get the blades beating. Not that anyone is right or wrong... just saying... of course it is IMHO.
  8. Question: if you have safe on, should the hellfire still hit the target, just not detonate?
  9. i am getting the hourglass very, very often in campaign missions with VR, after installing the latest which is Nvidia GeForce 560.94 WHQL driver. Before this new driver not so much. I looked to see what the consensus is, I think the issue I have is the new driver. I think I am going to roll back.
  10. I tried 'hovering' with bob over the cargo with the hook. It would not pick it up, I do it manually and I can pick up the cargo. Bob was 100% more stable than me, so I don't understand why it would not with Bob.
  11. intel does not get specific about what part of the zillions of diodes and transistors in the cpu layers have been contaminated... if anyone knows circuits, there are limits to voltages and knee voltages and currents that are gates... if the contamination causes gates to malfunction then instead of a gate drop of a zener diode for voltage at 6.6 volts drops under or over the that design that that part of the circuit will cause that part to fail. Considering there are zillions of these components in the microscopic circuits, all kinds of trouble in the cpu will occur. Anything from a hiccup to massive failure. Static electricity alone blows silicone chunks out of circuits. I have seen the results of static electricity through an electron microscope. I had a problem in engineering from sodium contamination in die for micro circuits in submarine sonar circuits in Aerospace manufacturing (this was ages ago). It causes the a/d conversion to go bad.
  12. I have Asus Z790-H ROG Strix Motherboard, with Intel 13900K CPU and updated Bios. so far no issues. I just lucked out, I must have just missed the windows for issues, although Intel refuses to give us the exact dates of the batches that had issues. They just said 2023 in the manufacturing process. My CPU was week 2, March 2023. I don't overclock though. My ram runs at 6600 in XMP. I have it set to Intel settings in the Bios. first time ever I ran Cinebench, no clue if this is good. score = 33293 (I left out it's a K model CPU)
  13. set the keyboard back to default settings (press Win and FN together..) is that what you mean?
  14. at 12k feet it could not longer fly stable... suppose to fly at 20k feet. was flying over mountains checking it for flying over the mountains. Is there some setting I didn't set?
  15. I was locking targets with George, me in the backseat.. the missiles were flying way past the target that I locked. I got closer and it helped quite a bit, but why did George let me lock and fire if he knew they were not going to hit the targets ? Tanks, cars, etc. On a road... with trees, without trees, flat...
  16. I try and fly straight, if I go cockeyed a degree or 2 the swaying is there... no sudden movements... forward moment and straight... slow movements... soft movements...
  17. i do give them alot of credit for getting close.. I don't want it too harsh,, I am not into the heavy sounds,, too old and beat up.. they will probably either get it better of you can change your sound system... the Doppler Effect also could be better, but I really don't need it that real... yes, there is always better but very difficult to match reality.. I flew on many helos... I don't want the harshness in the stage of my life..
  18. I do not have a Helo collective, I have a Warthog with 6 inch extension. I set some stick curve numbers for the curve at about 24. I removed the curve section out. I have all the settings used for getting a hover, and auto manual lower, raising, etc. Very difficult to hold in place for lifting and dropping cargo. Need to find if anyone has mastered this, and can share the best way to hover for cargo. I can hover for a very short time, but not good enough. I suppose they will be adding to and improving the controls and settings.
  19. with many and this with a George, Jester, etc,, I get disappointed by my copilot being very slow to respond to everything.. but that's me I guess, other seem more satisfied than me..
  20. I too am very impressed with the sounds of the Chinook. But I am getting older and do not want a buttkicker sound. I think they are nailing this aircraft. I imagine they wil polish it and really blow us away!
  21. mine works, can't remember the names used, but mine works, the chaff and flares work on demand, although I have not tested them in combat yet
  22. Yes, that is on my list as well! I have to zoom in!!! I do use VR too but not good idea to shove my face forward with VR on.. the performance is set really tight on my computer i cannot move any numbers in settings with wrecking my performance which took a zillion hours to tune.
  23. hard to get rid of the hooker, she just won't leave
  24. they fixed it soon after,,, so you guys should have gotten the fix already
