Update: looks like everyone knew 2 days ago... Meta should be ran out of business,, always bad stuff.. IMHO... Latest Oculus Meta Update caused graphics performance to get worse. I ran the update (Forced Oculus update) Yesterday and it caused slower performance and hourglass where before the forced update all was well. Like to strangle to fools who write those updates. Anyone else have it forced on them only to have issues in DCS? V68 is horrific update

yes, sorry, was a bit harsh,,, hope whomever codes it can speed him up and make him wear glasses or corrective eye surgery.

I often find you cannot give a long squeeze, you have to give it a quick push and release. But I also suspect it depends on the stick you use. Not sure if I can change the time of the push release on my Warthog, used to do that on my old Saitek, down to .01 seconds.

Sorry, but Jester is dumber and slower than a bag of rocks. He can't see his hand in front of his face and when he does he is so slow by the time he fires it's too late. Try and try, but he is just taking up space...

there is a move procedure for programs, I have done with DCS, IL-2 etc... and it is easy, not copy and paste. easy to google it, probably in these forums too.

what I remember the most about it when I was stationed on a USAF base that had Army with aircraft and tanks too,,, we got Chinooks and everything in Nato. I remember putting equipment in there and the fuel tanks on each side... around 1980. I think it had 6 or 8 fuel tanks. I rode in other helos, but not the Chinook.

In many sims, starting from when sims started,, lots of modeling was done either in part or whole with interns, college students, and tutored by others with more experience. They basically did it to learn and try their hand in the field and hobby. These students and hobbyist's are still not fully tapped. There will always be talent that is willing to do the work as part of their own fulfillment, and on a budget. The biggest downside is commitment, they cannot hold the source code on their own, because they have no legal binding ties to make sure they finish the work, in full or part. Hence division of labor so if someone bows out, someone else can pickup where that hole exists in the project. IMHO

at least I am not flying it much at all ... so I can wait,, but geeesh,,, I worked in Aerospace after leaving the USAF. I wasn't software (hardware), but had to work with coders... but it was so long ago I cannot compare the old to new. But, geeesh...

we have the map, it is no longer authorized.

I have the South Afghan map, fired up DCS today after patch, DLC Afghan map has been disabled displayed. Now what? anyone else. I know it worked, because I was on it flying the other day and building missions. whatever version, it has to have the authentic 'BACKFIRE' of the unburnt fuel popping just before takeoff.. ! it was almost always, everytime it flew and it was startling! I witnessed this many times IRL.

I gave up with FC3, and just bought the FC 2024 upgrade for $10. So far, it is all good, have not had a chance to go through the stable, wil take a long time.

I trying rebooting after disabling my FC3, at least now DCS fires up and I can fly al my other modules. But, FC3 is NOT working for now.

Nets were used very often in the USAF for aircraft with brake issues. This was when I was in TAC. Hooks not nearly as often on land.

the USAF F-4 while doesn't break on landings, did have a very small and light nose gear and wheel... they had both a 10 bolt and 12 bolt wheels (interchangeable). I spent so much time around them I picked up info about servicing many of the aircraft I was around...

My 'Armed Lights' for each station are no longer lit when armed after the patch in A-A mode. I use VR, if that makes any difference. Before you could definitely see the 'Armed' on each push button on the left. Now, to me they all look black. The weapon does arm, but the lights say they are not armed. They do light in A-G mode.

Hope the Pedals are the better High Quality Pedals, as the cheaper ones are better than none, but very lacking.. Enjoy everything with them!
