Where did i say it was there fault, it's is however a design error that most companys made pre windows XP how. so how is it microsoft's error that ed decided to use those privileged function calls?? And unfortunately for microsoft that means 70% of their userbase ;) ;) :lol: btw it 's openme.jpg.exe. And i'm also running vista on all systems with just a few thing that won't run most of wich are built for win 98 so i just have to live with that. edit: just for the other people that have this problem with vista here is my solution. I Just tried uninstalling 1.12B and installed 1.12A with http://www.star-force.com/support/sfdrvup.zip and the crashes are gone.

So, just what's the BIG difference with XP except that there is a security leak becuase IE and outlook alike stuff are running in priviledged mode too and can easily infect the whole os? and if youre using the os correctly you just have to get anoyed while installing soft/hardware and playing lockon but that ED's problem for using priviledged function. Still have the same problem as Elnocho3 and would like a good idea on how to sovle it.

i didn't look at the complete system but i just noticed the video cards, i have 2 7600gt video card and i'm not really happy with it ( actualy i'm not happy at all, it has a great bug in the firmware without support from the vendor) combine that with nvidia's great driver support and bug fixing (change log list a known bug in lockon for at least a year now) i'd recommend choosing a ati card and loose the sli (it won't help you get more fps in lockon anyway )

Red Hammer can you translate the errors (my Chinese and/or Japanese isn't that good) did you install AND run lockon as administrator ???

best bet would be trying a cd burner (preferably an old slower one)and copying the cd contents to disk (as long it's not lofc's disk you don't really need it anyway) also there should be some cleaning fluids to fill the scratches on cd's but if i recall correctly a crc error is being thrown by the kernel (Linux at least don't know about windows) because the hash check to check if the cd contents are matching the indexes has failed, so I'm afraid it's probably gonna be a new cd.

nope in vista you are not you need to right click it and select "run as administrator" by default vista lets you run as a limited user for security also did you patch to 1.12b <- this has update starforce drivers

no the recalibration was already left out on the x52 have you tried putting it in another usb port (could be a windows driver error),i also have some app called deadbander(should be from saitek) that should work for calibration/deadzone errors but never tried it myself. if you wanna trie the deadbander pm your e-mail addyand ill send it to you :matrix:.

not a forum bug but clearing your cache COULD work i personaly think you are refusing cookies for IE go to tools -> internet options -> privacy and push the default button for ff go to tools -> options -> privacy and check the "accept cookies until.." this should work

sorry i can't help you there as i own a regular x52 and not the pro version but have you tried saitek's forum http://www.saitekforum.com/ ???? but you could check if the cable is good connected ( if it's lose or half inserted the x52 sometimes flickers or doesn't work)

you should have recieved a cd with software with the joystick (specificaly the sst software) this is used to "program" the joystick try http://www.saitek.com/row/down/drivers.htm to download the newest + sst software and the button that is sensitive is button 34 or the scroll down wheel (wich just fires every 10th second) you can enter commands if your really quick (i'd go for the sst software)

the performance gain is about NONE lockon uses mostly your cpu i upgraded from a budged card to dual en7600gt setup for SLI and i get about 1 fps more i strongly advise a better cpu if you wan't more performance

Yes just lomac ( and FC ) + patch you don't have to reinstall windows !! sorry had to mention that before :doh:
