  1. HI Mav, interesting point on the PS net test. I'll have a go with just netstat.....- re browser... I'll try something else. Well Chrome did not change the issue. BUT.... Drum role this got me thinking and I fired up edge again but this time in IN PRIVATE MODE.. badbaoom we have connectivity. So I'm thinking that either Ghostery, Ublock may well have been the culprit!!! SOLVED Appreciate the input from @HC_Official and @Maverick87Shaka
  2. I changed it to 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8 and starlink no change I'm afraid... we in the context of that webgui working the HTTP error 6 seems to have gone though!
  3. Hi HC, yes just a drag and drop see... for a clip of the whole startup, log run through and webgui drag and drop to edge.
  4. I've been trying to get Dedi Beta Server up and running in anticipation for 'a' phantom phriday so son and I can practise coop before joining the big wide world servers. Initially challenge was getting the 'server' to start with serversettings.lua syntax and config. Issue being the file itself and syntax for mission location. SERVER SHENANIGANS- no server starty : hoggit (reddit.com) @HC_official has been helpful so far but the thread has become a bit of a mess of info( reddit threw a paddy when I wanted toi insert a long thread ?!?!) and is hard to get through and I'm throwing the net a bit wider in anticipation of someone pointing out an obvious mistake- hopefully. @hc_official thanks for the reddit input trust this thread is a be easier on the eyes and flows better. the problem- Still cannot connect to the WEBGUI interface - I'm unable to confirm if it's and issue with network stack or DCS stack. I've attached the last log for the BETA dedicated server. I'll number the following points for reference Start server... confirm ports attached to correct DCS process PID 34748 Looks like DCS server has kicked off 8088 and 10308 2. Checking to see if port 8088 is available for WEBGUI once server started- port 8088 Success 3. close the server .... and re test to confirm nothing else is listening. port 8088 now fails to respond - I think this confirms that the port is NOT in use for other Applications. good./ null4. checking to see what ports are listening on the Starlink Public address shows that 10308 is NOT open. Which I don't think is an issue as I really only want this server to be internal network facing private server 5. So, given that the server starts and ports appear to be 'attached' to DCS server correctly and the firewall rules (from the powershell port test above (2 and 3) show that the port is open I'm a bit stumped.... 6. I've even turned off the Firewall to see if that changed anything - It did not 7. There are some errors in the log regarding fonts, and other stuff re drag payload.. BUT... this could be an issue -Could'nt resolve hostname....???? or is this a RED HERRING ? 8. Alternatively, an issues perhaps, http control interface is registered to the external interface ( x'd out for priv) see below 9. I've added in an autoexec.cfg webgui port number to see if that effects any change - other than picking uyp the change, nothing as far as connectivity changes - nada. 10. I've changed the 'is public' to false - no effect in the serversettings.lua 11 changed the bind address to 192.168.1.51 v( client machine) and 127.0.0.1 - no change - still cannot connect to webgui. 12. I've tried different missions without success... but I suppose that until I can actually connect to the WEBGUI I'm in DCS SERVER purgatory... Any pointers.= ? I'm a bit Stumped on this one. 5. agree with some of the commentary- I've been intel since 486 days. Recently I've looked at the 7800x3d and its performance in DCS, MSFS and some other CPU intensive/limited games. do the search specifically for performance for those specific scenarios, 7800x3d is the way to go. single core ( as per above is important for MANY applications and of course does support an overall multicore performance usage profile. But 3dvcache for sims is the hardware choice for performance currently - clock and ST IPC used to be THE MOST important aspect before 3dv cache appeared with 5800 So given the above the $/perf ratio is for gaming still the king here, on top of that in the 2 named applications above teh performance is better, power usage is waaaaay lower and you have a strong upgrade pathway next year to the updated 7800x3d ( 8800x3d?) you're not going to lose that much on getting intel but now with 14th gen ( and its decidly meh perf step) your upgrade pathway is over, wrt to having to get new MB, whereas amd give you that option next year to 8800x3d. I'm currently running gigabyte aorus master, 7800x3d, 64GB cl30 600 mhz ( from teh QVL list) + gigabyte 4090 so its about as strong a system as you can get for Pimax crystal VR. so for simming my recommendation is 7800x3d with is large 3d vcache ( that the sims love) and you've got an upgrade route too for cpu upgrade that most sims are still starved for. now the DLSS, and other AA tech is appearing , MT is going to get better and with Vulcan, DFR etc alll playing their part it's going to be easier to to keep the upgrade cycles longer. happy simming P.
  6. ditto for me too it looks like ...I'm going through settings ...thought it was NIS initially
  7. Ok so I read the words but don’t understand ..could you provide an explanation for your 2nd post? thx
  8. was that a nod to the razbam F15E development at the beginning of the video ?:book::music_whistling:
  9. Hi, been trawling through the forums for hiding the MFD displays in cockpit. Found stuff for a10c etc and have tried to follow that for the fa18 all I managed to do was bork my install - repair and start again... so I have 3 8" screens with successful MFD &AMPCD export but wanting to stop the render of the screens on the cockpit display... any pointers ?:helpsmilie::joystick:
  10. ok... uninstalled... restarted with cougars disconnected ... ran the drviers file again with the cougars off... then switched them on when prompted... TADA!! it worked oh yeah also ran the drivers file as administrator so thing now worked correctly... hope this helps someone. thanks panther- got me focused on the right place.
  11. riiiight.. I just dont see that depiction of the MFD's hmmm something odd about the driver install process not working... this is all I see from properties for the MFD.... https://imgur.com/a/MUJIseq
  12. :thumbup::thumbup:thankyou... appreciate the simple reply..:joystick: oh yeah..that did the trick...it works now
  13. thanks fr coming back panther.. ok.. went into control panel\devices and printers. I have 3 MFD;s listed.... I have tried to update the drivers from the thrustmaster site previously but could not see a difference when I interrogated device maanger etc... they are still isted as Microsoft drivers,,, the driver is referenced as 2018_FFD_2.exe ..using 7zip I tried to see if there was a driver file located within but alas ...no....alas not that I could find.:music_whistling: of course Ive right clicked on the icon... anyway some screen shots to ensure I'm looking the right direction... https://imgur.com/gallery/EgiL1HQ I'm feeling the driver issue is the root of this... I've rebooted the oc after re-install of driver above... is this the same driver you are referencing ?
  14. is it just me but I cannot query the repo... http://69.195.131.50/downloads/Relea...ars_mod_na.xml anyone else having this problem ? cant ping the ip address either
  15. OK./.. https://www.brunner-innovation.swiss/product/cls-e-joystick/:):smartass::joystick:
  16. sorry to necro this thread but... stuck in this space at the moment and have tried all the avaiable settings I could to date. I have MFD 1 MFD 1 and MFD 2 and I'm buggered if I can figure out how to get this to change. so downloaded and installed the newest drivers from Thrustmaster though its disconcerting to see it listed as a FFB driver package..but I guess they have rolled up driver support together.... :cry: I've rebooted and tried different install options... from disabling through to installation with them off rebooting ...then turning them on ... nothing... the drivers still show as microsoft blah blah... TARGET ( man I hate having installed ANOTHER piece of software to manage this stuff) - shows no difference- Mfd 1 ,1 , 2 based on previous replies @panther..."is MFD3 not MFD2 with the windows controller settings." I was trying to follow the advice that windows device settings needs to be updated- but its all hard coded ie no update available....:mad::doh::joystick: any ideas ? pointers or otherwise interesting comments - about MFD's please :helpsmilie:
  17. wondering if this type of capability will be integrated to DCS or forever remain as an amazing mod...:thumbup:
  18. Ive got 6 monotor hooked up various Graphics cards adn display standadrds but never seen this ... drivers...? verify install back to defaulst and then update the options and config for monitor setup ? then confim things like aspect ratio correct.. and monitor reolution correct for your setup is 5760x1080 not much to add I'm afraid... P
  19. hi Gruman, sorry for late reply, yes I just found that, however 1. it was unchecked ( as the reference is to have them disabled if checked) 2. I also found the options.lua entry and changed it to true to export. once DCS loaded it changed it back to falso interesting to note that the logic is reversed between the options.lua and the settings screen. see:- ["AV8BNA"] = { ["CPLocalList"] = "default", ["INS_Alignment"] = 2, ["INS_GYROHasNAV"] = false, ["MPCD_EXPORT"] = false, I changed the MPCD export to true did nothing and while it loaded the file was changed back to false.... arrrg
