  1. Sorry. I can't think of much else to try right now - other than a complete reinstall! Did you also try the files Blooze suggested. I'm sure someone will suggest a quick fix. Seems strange mine works with default files. There is a thread here - http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=69395 which mentions changing snap views, defining where each view goes. Might be worth a shot.
  2. Yes I do. I just checked. Also get HUD with NumPad-5. 4 and 6 are MFD.
  3. Could you try going to C:/Program Files/Eagle Dynamics/DCS World/Config and rename the view folder to View1 then carry out the repair option and it should replace the file with default settings. You can always delete the new file and rename the original one back to view if that doesn't work. There is a SnapViewsDefault.lua in that folder which looks like it defines the snap view points.
  4. What captions are still illuminated on the warning panel? Just tried my snap view's, don't use them as I use trackir but the seem to be working fine. 7, 8 and 9 are outside but the others are internal. When I come out of snap view with Ctrl-0 then press 5 it goes to center again? The Left Windows key and the Numpad snap viewoption works as well. Have you checked the key bindings to check it hasn't been changed by mistake?
  5. Did you remember to select Nav on the CDU? Edit: And select EGI?
  6. Should we get back on topic and wait until EventHorizon has anymore questions so we can help him out?
  7. Just seen that 1.2.7 is released. From update page Quote: DCS: A-10C Warthog Added 2 new fictions Canadian skins: RCAF 409 Squadron and RCAF 442 Snow Scheme. Aircraft can once again receive a complete aerial refueling transfer. TACAN dial controls have been corrected. Command bars now working correctly during an ILS approach. The liquid oxygen regulator is no longer dependent on electrical power. The ADI pointers have been corrected as well as the pitch steering bar stow function. Added mouse-clickable mirrors that allow them to be stowed or un-stowed. Corrected data when entering altitudes in the CDU and altitude alerts; the numbers changed when entered in the system. Corrected Radio Menu not being available for the A-10C My graphics settings were for 1.2.6 so might need changing slightly. I have not tried it yet.
  8. Here is a screen shot of my settings for an AMD 6900 series card, you should be able to go higher with your graphics card. Stick with the game and try to learn it a little bit at a time like some others have said. Don't be discouraged by those who say just quit. I forget stuff as I spend months away with work then have to come back to it.
  9. They do restart. Put the aircraft upright again, then shut off the throttles to the engines. Spool up the APU. Once it is at 100% then move the first throttle to idle and wait for the start up cycle to run through. Then do the same on the other engine. If one engine is still running I think you can use bleed air from it to start the other one but it is a while since I have done this. You won't need the APU for that.
  10. What I would do is go here http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/world/dcs_world/ download all of the most up to date files - all the bin files and the exe - then install them by running the exe. After that is done dowlaod and install A10-C module from here http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/modules/ You will need your A10 game key from steam. I'm not at my gaming machine so can't check if you can get the game key from steam without installing the steam version first. I know you can get it from the properties for the game by right clicking on it in your list of steam games. You may need to install that version to get your key, then un-install it again, but hopefully not.
  11. You can increase the intensity of the HUD. Not sure if that would make it bright enough to see in that situation though. You use the "INTEN" rocker switch below the HUD.
  12. In game the second engine can be started using bleed air from the first engine without having the APU on. I don't imagine this would be a recognised start-up procedure in real life though.
  13. The left and right switches are actually for generators on the engines to provide power. The APU GEN switch provides power from the APU generator. You will get a master caution light if you try to turn this switch on having started the engines with the left and right switches on as APU GEN power is a lower priority power source. The aircraft see that you have tried to turn on this switch but the power is prevented from coming online, usually by a set of hold-off relays. Whatever controls the APU gen will then see this as a failure giving you the warning, even though it is not really an issue. It appears that APU gen power and ground power are set up to operate on a "first come, first served" basis , with neither having priority.
  14. You can either open the canopy and select any mic switch position so speak to ground crew or select INT on the audio panel and use MIC SWITCH FWD. Just remember to select VHF again when your done so you can use the radio as normal. I've never used TARS so not sure exactly how this would affect it.
  15. You need DCS World from here http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?scr=product&ProductId=21&end_pos=137&lang=en and the A-10C module from here http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?end_pos=136&scr=products&lang=en The standalone which is downloaded from here http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?end_pos=135&scr=products&lang=en is no longer up to date so I would not use it. If you already have DCS World then the version number is displayed in the lower right hand corner on the first screen.
  16. You deleted your original post but paulrkii has left the link in his post with your quote.
  17. Are you using the standalone version or the DCS World module? The DCS World module should auto update.
  18. RCtrl + M = Multiplayer chat - All RAlt + M = Multiplayer chat - Allies There is a PDF file with all keys in this thread by blaster454 http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=58470
  19. In real life VHF FM is normally used for troops on the ground. VHF AM is civilian air traffic control and UHF is normally military air traffic control. In game VHF AM is used for tankers. Not sure what they use in real life for that.
  20. I'm an avionics technician. On all the aircraft I have worked on the fuel gauges are setup to read zero when there is zero usable fuel in the tank for a normal flight attitude. There will be some fuel remaining in the tank after this which can't be pumped to the engine. So in theory the engines won't stop until that needle hits 0 on the guage.
  21. The keys you already have will work in DCS World for each module.

    LASTE

Not sure what you mean by profile? If you mean the wind options on the CDU in the LASTE menu, you type the data in then click the line key and the CDU should accept it. You need to enter the altitude for the wind data on the first page which I believe is entered in meters. then press the WNDEDIT line key. Type the data and click the line key next to the altitude you wish to enter it for.
