As stated above, ESET shows that I16FM.dll is infected with Win64/Packed.VMProtect.IR. I tried repairing but it doesn't help even when set to download through HTTP.

Yak-52 (reg. number SP-YDD) crashed into Vistula river today in Plock, Poland. Unfortunatelly pilot didn't make it :( Ralf Buresch from Germany passed away in forementioned accident. More info in english: https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/europe/search-for-stunt-pilot-after-plane-plunges-into-polish-river/2019/06/15/f01296a4-8f60-11e9-b6f4-033356502dce_story.html?utm_term=.f5cf480292c3

I had this problem with MiG-19 even before F-14 release. It seems to be DCS issue. I resterded application and it helped. Today I assigned some axis to Tomcat using drop down menu since usual method stopped working.

How resource intensive is the F14 compared with other modules?
ophiuchus replied to MobiSev's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
I don't use VR, and my setup is pretty old and low end (I5 2400, GF970 at 1920x1080), however with 32gigs of RAM Tomcat runs surprisingly well. Even with details maxed out. -
Pitching down moment due to flap deflection...
ophiuchus replied to Anatoli-Kagari9's topic in DCS: Yak-52
So a little offtopic, may I suggest adding option to set copilot's weight in popup rearm window? :] -
Yeah, but it behaves pretty much like "normal" P-51. It's not Tiger Moth or Stearman and it punishes your mistakes quite severly.
-
P-51 and Dora are taildraggers, so I don't think that Yak experience would translate directrly to honing your skills with them. It's really fun aircraft to fly, but in my opinion the only thing that could be somewhat comparable is torque effect on takeoff. If you'd like to fly WW2 planes effectively I suggest more practice with them, and don't discourage yourself. It's like that - try to takeoff, crash, try to takeoff, crash... at some point it "clicks", and you suddenly know how to take off a Mustang. And might I suggest - practice the P-51 first, as it is easiest to fly of all the WW2 aircrafts in my opinion.

[NO BUG] Auto rudder, wheel chocks, break lever lock doesn't work
ophiuchus replied to JohnnyHo's topic in Bugs and Problems
Wheel brake lock works fine, just as described by derelor. -
Thanks for fun module. So I use realistic comms, and I bound Radio Button, and INT Button to my joystick however, there is "ralt+" command that is "push to talk". If I press either of the first two mouse coursor starts to flicker, but nothing else happens. Comms menu shows after pressing third option.

[FIXED INTERNALLY] Canopy bug following Update 6 Hotfix.
ophiuchus replied to bart's topic in Bugs and Problems
Also it appears as if the glass was still there, since even with canopy open I can't stick my head out. I don't use VR. -
[REPORTED][2.5.2] Lighting not working correctly with Huey.
ophiuchus replied to ophiuchus's topic in Bugs and Problems
That's not the point. Look at first screenshot. This parking spot is lit by nearby lamps, and helicopter is just a dark shadow. The same inside, there should be some scattered light coming in from outside, Huey has pretty big windows after all. -
Transparent backseats when viewed from below

And five years later... :D Still present. -
Thank you Sir! Works just fine. And also, let me point out, that I'm lazy and stupid, since answer to my question is in the very thread I posted my problem in :D Cheers!

Hello everyone. How can I "tell" DCS 2.5 that I have 2.2 on my disk, so new version won't need to download Nevada and Normandy from scratch over Internet? It's over 32GB of data, and with my current connection it'll take more than 2 days :D I've always had a copy of DCS installations, so I wouldn't have to download it every time I reinstall Windows, but somehow this time they don't seem to "see" each other.

Changing keyboard controls causes a black screen
ophiuchus replied to Capn kamikaze's topic in Bugs and Problems
I had similar problem with other third party module (Mirage), and after some reading I suggest trying mapping controls in different circumstances. To be more specific: if you have black screen after assigning buttons at main menu, try the same after loading mission, and select ESC ingame menu. Or the opposite, if that happens while you are in the middle of the mission. I hope it's somewhat understandable (I'm not using english enough recently and I got rusty :D) -
I tried to connect to server that did not feature Viggen, and I still got timed out. In 2.0.4 however multiplyer seems to work fine, there's just not that many servers available. One more thing, loading times seems to take longer than usual.

Cold start problem after update
ophiuchus replied to Macias671603's topic in DCS: Bf 109 K-4 Kurfürst
I sometimes ask ground crew to spin the flywheel even three times before engine finally catches. -
stalhuth, what kind of rudder pedals are you using? I was having similar problem with other modules, and it turned out, that I had to invert axis for wheel brakes in control setup.

But it's the wrong Spitfire... or wrong Messerschmitt
ophiuchus replied to Dunravin's topic in DCS: Spitfire L.F. Mk. IX
One needs to remember, that beside "balanced - nonbalanced" capabilities of current aircraft lineup there are obligations, that ED took after KS campaign, and that all models were chosen back then by a different team, so any additional variants of Bfs, Fws and others are all up to current developer, and probably are highly dependant on profit from what we have now. Not to mention P-47, and hopefully Me262. As for me, I enjoy a lot what we have now. And bow to ED for not abandoning the project. -
My suggestion is to use max continous settings (47" MP, 2700 RPM), and both coolers set to full open. I never actually managed to fly with full power for more than few minutes, as engine keeps dying. Near max ceiling you might want to use trimmers instead of stick and rudder for keeping her steady, since air is really thin up there. I reached over 42600 ft this way before I lost lift.
