  1. According to RL pilots it is realistic. One of reasons you see pilots landing this helicopter with a little bit of forward speed because it helps preventing it from tipping over (I am not talking about rolling landings on hard airfields). EDIT: tip from me (not a real pilot)- after your tail wheel touches down be very gentle with your collective and cyclic. Don't just pull down collective like you would with other helicopters after you make contact with ground, but think about it as two stage thing. 1 tail wheel 2 main wheels.
  2. It does nothing at the moment. It's W.I.P. feature.
  3. I am going to dig up old post I wrote. I was looking at RL videos, and I found one with UH-60 (not Lima, probably Mike) that shows pitch increase is present when entering Transitional Lift phase. In Mod, helicopter pitch decreases (nose down), and you have to pull cyclic to counter it. In RL video you can see the opposite- pilot applying cyclic forward (timestamp just before departure) I also made a gif comparing both:
  4. BTW is it possible to make UH-60L available also in Quick Mission? I can only access it via Mission Editor atm.
  5. I have tested this mod a bit more, and it is so much fun. Now I have noticed, that there is one strange thing going on with this Blackhawk. 1 Controls indicator thing shows Cyclic Pitch axis inverted (moves forward when pulled back) 2 With other helicopters when increasing speed and getting into transitional lift usually results in increase in altitude (this is also the case with UH-60L mod), but also increased pitch. That means, that cyclic position around which small cyclic adjustments are done in hover is- lets say- near the center of cyclic axis, but in cruise those adjustments happen a bit in front. It is opposite here. I have to move cyclic quiet a bit to the back, because helicopter pitch decreases (tries to fly nose down). I have no idea if this has anything to do with point 1, but I made a simplified graph to explain it hopefully better (this is very simplified, for example usually cyclic would sit a bit more to the rear and left with US made helicopters while in hover, but you get the point):
  6. Doesn't work for me neither, but I am not on OB (I also followed instructions).
  7. Probably not the same thing, but make sure you have Stabilizer adjustment set to AUTO (I tried flying with auto disabled, and helicopter flips forward with enough forward speed).
  8. Good for you! SimFFB is great. I am only thinking if I will be able to use autopilot without mapping Trim Release?
  9. Absolutely brilliant mod. I have been taking a break from flight sims for a while (got into racing sims), but as soon as I heard about this mod I instantly installed DCS back. Love it so far. Tested it with SAS1 and SAS2 disabled to see how "raw" helicopter behaves, and you can tell this one is so much heavier than UH-1H. Lot's of inertia. Also super easy to get into VSR. I have one issue so far (not sure if it is mod specific)- I cannot assign wheel brake axis properly; it stays inverted (no matter if I use inverted axis option, or not- as soon as I press it it gets registered as 100% pressed when I release the pressure). I am using Logitech G940 (pedals have pressure axis) if that matters. I am using "slider" option checked ON. Almost forgot- External Tanks seem to be always green no matter the livery- probably not intentional? Questions to people who tried this mod: - Anyone here uses Force Trim (FFB joystick) with this mod? I am not sure how to make it work with my joystick- when I use Trim Release button the joystick "center" moves, and it makes flying awkward. EDIT: OK, I found post one page back saying, that this trim system is meant to be used with spring centering joysticks. SimFFB works great. Now eventually I will learn how to use Autopilot function this mod offers, hope I will be able to use AP and SimFFB together. Anyways- thanks for mod makers, it's so awesome!
  10. Hi everyone. Just wanted to say thank you! I've been using the original tool and I am supper happy there is even better version available. Thanks once again.
  11. +1 Front mount pylon attached to a helicopter when only rear one is used is really bad IMHO.
  12. Your comment "Real life vs. DCS 1.2... Great comparsion" was off topic to begin with. It took next couple posts to get that point across to you.
  13. Read thread before commenting, please.
  14. What changed in 2.5 regarding topic I am talking about?
  15. Also You cannot remove front mounting pylon on armed Huey even if it is empty. It looks really weird, 99% of Huey photos don't have front pylon mounted at all.
  16. Hold Shift while scrolling to speed up the process.
  17. Thank you! I am also very happy Huey get's some love, it is my most favorite module (Mi-8 being the second).
  18. Get it. It is beautiful. If you are into helicopters it is a must have.
