I have windows 10 and 8.1 In my big tv I have set the resolution to 1920x1080 but because the text is small i have the size of text to 150% so that I can read from distance. This causes also the in menu text to be 150% and general all the menu to be magnified so I cannot see many of the buttons. even if i change game resolution the problem exists. Only way to solve it is by changing the text to 100% again.

Why don't we (the users, anyone who can help) built a 7x7 family model? and for the 737 there is plenty of data..

If A-10C could just load a couple of AGM-130 (Mk-82 + rocked + datalink) that would be great. So to get it we just need to wait for 5+ years so that a F-15E module apears :) AGM-130 is the only one with datalink and you can see the video from the MFD after the launch and also steer the bomb where you want Check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AGM-130

Good day to everyone I think I found a bug in the wingtip vortices, I don't know if someone else found it. So what I did was put 50m/s north wind, try to take off, and then glide with almost 0 speed over ground, heads north. I noticed that the vortices, are following the aircraft's absolute motion, not the relative motion of it in the moving air. On some movement they overtake the airplane. Please check the video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p0DN53Lpc1Q&list=UUMlT2Mqe0olGLk-jStuJd_Qhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p0DN53Lpc1Q&index=1&list=UUMlT2Mqe0olGLk-jStuJd_Q

DIY HOTAS WT -need dimentions of throttle and stick
sapounas replied to sapounas's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I am still here , just I didn't have time to spare for this project during summer, so now that is winter again I will continue. For those who don't have sokol1 files with dimentions I attached a zip. throttle_a10c.zip -
So the problem is that A-10 is using raster maps in different resolutions and ka-50 is using the same vector map that DCS world is using is that correct?

Remove the trees 100% of the game?
sapounas replied to ThorBrasil's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
I don't know any angry birds edition sold for $49.99 Anyway, make DCS for $4.99 and then you can talk about sold copies ;) -
Guys the precision MGRS uses is 100m as seen in wikipedia 4Q .....................GZD only, precision level 6° × 8° (in most cases) 4QFJ ...................GZD and 100 km Grid Square ID, precision level 100 km 4QFJ 1 6 ...............precision level 10 km 4QFJ 12 67 .............precision level 1 km 4QFJ 123 678 ...........precision level 100 m 4QFJ 1234 6789 .........precision level 10 m 4QFJ 12345 67890 .......precision level 1 m so if we put in the CDU the FJ 123 456 it is 100m precision The lat long has higher precision as pointed out by tugzeus

Good day, I have noticed an error in the A-10C HSI course selector window as seen in the video below. The hundred is changing for every ten, which i believe is not as it supposed to do. Please someone verify if it is a bug Video

I will use the analog 2-axis joystick from PSP like devices Joy 1 Joy 2 They cost about 1 - 1.5 Eur and the only difference between those 2 is that the second has the contacts face down. It being analog helps me to consume only 2 Analog ports instead of using 4 digital pins to my arduino, it just need some more programming the threshold, you know like the table: X = 0v (UP) X = 5v (DOWN) X = 1 - 4v (middle no use) Y = 0v (LEFT) Y = 5v (RIGHT) Y = 1 - 4v (middle no use) The only thing disturbing is the smooth move, it doesn't make the HAT click sense... but it is cheaper

The problem is still there, at least on my pc I have updated 1.2.7.23803 and problem exists

DIY HOTAS WT -need dimentions of throttle and stick
sapounas replied to sapounas's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Some progress in the general design. Still missing the switches and other stuff from ebay. For hat (Slew/MIC/Coolie) i will use on this version the analog hats from PSP because they are cheap (http://www.ebay.com/itm/3D-Analog-Joystick-Stick-Button-Replacement-Repair-Parts-for-Sony-PSP-1000-1001-/121214806287?pt=US_Video_Gaming_Replacement_Parts_Tools&hash=item1c38f7290f) an it will only consume 2 analog ports in my arduino. If i would use hat switches it would be 4 pes hat, total 3x4=12 inputs... for Brake i have DIY a MON-OFF-MON switch to be MON-OFF-ON, because if i would order one it would cost near 20$ from ebay (i will post how to when i will take some pictures) For the rest are simple switches and MON buttons. For the analog throttle axis i will use potentiometer if i have spare on my arduino, if not i will use magnetic rotary encoders from AMS (they are I2C so no they consume both SDA & SCL) Enjoy the early built pictures -
Campaigne mission crash. Deployment campaign, mission NEAR GUNDELEM It crashes before loading the mission in everything else, the game works great (instant action, other campaigns) Please fix that so i can complete the campaign :) 1.2.7 all updates

DIY HOTAS WT -need dimentions of throttle and stick
sapounas replied to sapounas's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I am waiting for the parts ordered from ebay, usually it takes 1-2 months to arrive. I already started the base, will post pics when ready :) -
I think F-15E can only mount 4 a/a missiles on the wings, the other places on CFTs and under the fuselage are only for a/g (and of course under the wings)

DIY HOTAS WT -need dimentions of throttle and stick
sapounas replied to sapounas's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
sokol1 you gave me exactly what I wanted! Dimentions of the throttles (as you say they are similar to f-15E) and the base. Thank you. I wasn't thinking about laser scanning or 3d cad or 3d printing, cause like you said, it's gonna be more expensive :) Thank everybody for the time you dedicate to my problem, I will post pictures as soon as I can, -
DIY HOTAS WT -need dimentions of throttle and stick
sapounas replied to sapounas's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I will use wood for start. That's why i would like to have a 3d model. I want to cut the model to layers and then using tiny screws or glue connect the layers. That's how you hollow it. You just build around the hollow :) So, i'm planning to use my not-used-for-long USBizi (microcontroller as it can offer the following: Your platform can be a USB Joystick connected to a PC. The following is supported: - 4 axes with 16-bit resolution, X, Y, Z and Z rotation. The position of an axis is reported as a value from –32,768 to +32,767. - 32 buttons from index 0 to 31. - Hat switch with 8 directions. so i will have 4 analog (collective, dual throttle, and later planning rudders) metalnwood many thanks for the model. If I could have the throttles it would be great, as i will start from there :) Trueno great job man! -
DIY HOTAS WT -need dimentions of throttle and stick
sapounas replied to sapounas's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I agree with ever you are saying, but: I don't have 337euros. The companies don't have any hotas like that made from plastic to be cheaper. I don't care about it to be a replica level hotas. I do it for me and myself alone. I will make it using some wood planks that i have in spare. I dunno why my thinking is so bad? I have already made a collective for my UH-1H with all the switches and stuff working, so what would keep me from doing a warthog also? My question is: If someone already has it and can share them with me? If not, no problem, I will design it in the dimensions that fit MY HAND! :) -
DCS Mig-21BIS Thanks
-
Yeah, that's true. Also think also that repairing/rearming your plane/helo takes less than a minute.

Starting out (Joystick recommendation)
sapounas replied to enique's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
My honest opinion: built your own joyskick/collective/rudder. I own a t1600 TM it's good, but not like the real thing. Now I am building a UH-1 collective and after the dual thrittle Warthog. i will post results DIY you know... -
I bought it

Well, it happened for a day at some MP severs. Now it's ok, i want to believe. No more crashes. I'll keep an eye on though....:megalol:
