  1. So.... downloaded the patch, read the change log saw that they improved the stability of the sim. Was like , YAY , launched the game and loaded a mission and DCS crashes. Anyone else had this issue? I am launching a mission I created through ME with the Huey. The game loads fine then as soon as you click FLY the sim crashes the loading screen appears to load back in the ME loads 100% then it crashes.
  2. Uh, yes it does. The whole point of a simulator is to represent the said aircraft to be extremely accurate, be it the FM or Avionics and looks of the aircraft. I agree with the F35 staying with hawks although these guys could pull it off the information is not out there like the older aircraft because of certain classifications. I prefer to fly an aircraft that has properly been researched than someone taking a wild guess. I don't know about you but I cant stand arcade flight games like WOWp as soon as they integrate arcade with simulators things fall apart that's what the F35 is going to do in my opinion.

    Dual seat?

I personally don't have any questions. Well I have one.... What numbers should I play for the lottery? J/K I think we are done here good sir, I bid you farewell.

    Dual seat?

Ya my spelling is a bit off but the point was made so that's all that matters. I could care less about the duel seat, I was just trying to stand up for the rest of us simmers that would like to have answers.

    Dual seat?

Prowler I didn't mean it like that I'm happy to see third party Devs being allowed in this sim. We all appreciate the information you have given us. I know that if you break the NDA, ED will put an end to the contract at the worst and we all don't want that. I apologize for lashing out towards you guys, I did not know that ED has all the 3rd party Dev's by the balls like that. It just tics me off to have a company with grown men to hold secrets from their customers. I have patients and allot of it. The longer the better that way we receive a good and finished product. Well keep up the work and once again, I apologize.

You guys act like its Top secret. If your company don't want to answer the questions then why did you release the the info this is a sim not the Pentagon. The questions are out there be a professional and answer them. I don't see what the big deal is, your not getting mobbed by the paparazzi. Your creating an aircraft for a sim the info is already out there about the aircraft itself, quit beating around the bush. If a customer wants to know something about the product being created, it would be in your best interest to keep the customer happy right? unless your in it for the money that is. Now the release date I understand but small details itself pffft. And the other company making the same aircraft you already showed them pics and everything and I doubt they are as far along the project as you are. So like I said earlier, its not top secret.
  7. Well since your new to the ME with this kind of thing I suggest not to use scripts in the beginning. I would first get to know your way around in the ME. If you already know a thing or 2 about scripts be my guest. If you your not using scripts then here are the steps. For pick up: Make a trigger point (25 meter diameter) have the unit(s) placed where u want to land. Click the trigger button, select new, once, none, then the next box select new, group inside zone select the zone you just made in the drop down menu then the next drop down menu below that select the group you have to have in the zone ,(your Huey) then select new again, scan through the drop down menu select units airspeed is lower than (1), click new again select units vertical speed is at (-1) and (+1). You can do the same for the altitude BUT...... you have to make sure to have the trigger on flat even terrain all the way around so that it works properly. I personally don't use the altitude trigger. Now the next box (Actions) Click new. Then select deactivate group (unit that you will be picking up) Click new after that and select (set cargo) in the drop down menu. Add the necessary weight for the pick up. If you have the LZ in a hard area to spot you can create another trigger zone about 1500 to 2000 meters and have it set up when you fly in it it will pop flares or smoke at the LZ trigger zone. Setting up smoke is easy just choose the color and always have the altitude at 1 Drop off is the same but you must create the unit on the map in a set location and have late activation checked. And remember to set the internal cargo back to 0. Most of the trigger setups in ME are self explanatory. If you have any further questions don't hesitate to ask.
  8. I posted about a week ago under bugs for object errors for DCS. So if they don't then they are not paying attention. But I'm sure one of them has found out..... I hope. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=105900
  9. I second that I'm disappointed to be honest. was really looking forward to some A/G with a Huey by my side, just like real life.Too bad. I will not be purchasing this either.
  10. In the future, if we choose to run slicks can we run the Huey with out the big mounts on the side? It just looks weird. http://cdn-www.airliners.net/aviation-photos/photos/1/3/7/0834731.jpg
  11. I place the farp in ME w/ the farp command center the farp ammo and the farp fuel. all US and my Huey of course. now haven't tried it in single player but i make MP missions and it does not work. I even turn on the battery and radios on and try it with the doors open still nothing. I use easy comms, maybe its a bug with that. Ill have to try it without it.
  12. I do set up the farp that way I use US everything and still nothing.
  13. Ok, I'm gonna test this but is this how u do it? select group then advance WP, add set to hold duration x at wp x.
  14. ah i was using triggered actions instead!
  15. now I'm lost lol.. no it just has the option "stop condition"
  16. Do I just check the box for duration and nothing else because its giving me a ? mark. It looks like this Hold -/?...
  17. I've tried this and it still didn't work. Ill give it another go. Thank you!
  18. I had a problem with the farps also. they work when they are with in the airfield but not by them self in the middle of nowhere.
  19. I always have my radio on. The farp don't re-arm, refuel, or repair if they are outside an airport zone. I.E. Farp 10 miles away from an airport.
  20. I'm new to the ME so don't know much but have a question. I am making a mission with a convoy i want the convoy to stop and then resume again after it waits until i trigger the resume action. but I cant get the convoy to resume when i use the set option to halt for the convoy. I am using the AI task push set FAC to try to get them to resume but its not working should I try to use AI off then on in the triggers? Please help?
  21. You must make a trigger point have the units placed where u want to land , check the late activation box for that unit. Click the trigger button, select new, once none, then the next box select new, group inside zone (your huey) the new again, select units airspeed is lower than 1, click new again units vertical speed is at -1 and +1 then click new select units altitude is lower than 1 then the next box (Actions) click new Group activate select the troops that u place at the LZ. then select new, set internal cargo at 0 to simulate the troops exited if you want have a message pop up so you know it works properly. NOTE: unit for the chopper is defaulted with the name PILOT 1 for the player and to make it easier name all your units so it is easier like the troops you want to drop name them Troops LZ insert 1 or something along those lines. Your going to need about 2-3 trigger points to do it properly from the moment you take off to land its easier to have an enemy group to be destroyed then have a friendly spawn in after to pop the smoke. Hope this helped! And wasn't to confusing! WHOOP WHOOP WHOOP!!!!! P.s. Have one unit on the ground that is visible and set a trigger as soon as he enters the spot and have him toss smoke so u can see the LZ. Make sure you make a trigger point for the mission start to set internal cargo to the weight u want so it can simulate a full load before you make your drop. As for the car being blocked by troops just make a trigger using the same method as said unit reaches certain point another unit spawns creating a road block on the road ahead of the car. Also if you are using a civ traffic car the car will not stop you have to use a vehicle out of the drop boxes.
  22. Rule of thumb for me and it works real well is to watch the panel. When it starts to shake violently at low speeds you want to add collective and be smoother on the cyclic to much cyclic will move the blades to fast thus not catch enough air putting you in a stall (vortex ring). when I'm coming in to a landing I tend to come in real fast(100 knots) then drop the collective while pulling the cyclic back as speeds decrease, the panel shakes more I add collective trying to maintain my same sink rate. I personally watch my gauges when hovering more than a reference point on the ground. Technically yes because there are more blades to grab the air with less friction because there is less of an air gap between the blades rather than a two blade configuration. So it would make for a smoother transition. Think of it like a bird flapping its wings, a regular ordinary bird flaps its wings (ROTOR BLADES) so many times a min, while a humming bird has a faster wing flap so it could hover easier than a ordinary bird. If that made sense.
