DCS: F-4E - Episode IV - RADAR Pt. 1 - Basics and Theory
t_hedlund replied to IronMike's topic in DCS: F-4 Phantom
I have watched the video several times and I'm amazed as to how much has been put into the radar. I appreciate the level of detail, but it is a little intimidating. How much of the normal radar work is going to be done by Jester? I know that several members are comparing the F-4 to the F-14, but theF-4's radar seems much more complicated than the F-14. Regardless, I look forward to the challenges that the F-4 will be bring. -

F-4E Phantom II Development Update and Release Delay Announcement

I would guesstimate that ED has been working on the MIG-29 for almost a year already, so I could see it being released late this fall or early winter. -
F-4E Phantom II Development Update and Release Delay Announcement

Raisuli, did you contact them thru https://store.heatblur.com/pages/contact-us or write us directly to support@heatblur.se? I don't remember what discord server it was but there were a few that mentioned that they had gotten refund, so I don't believe that they are bluffing. -
The FC3 version of the Mig-29 will still exist even after the addition of the Mig-29A, correct? I just see the FC3 versions, as critical for newer players to cut their teeth on. I look forward to taking a high fidelity Mig for a spin. Take my money....

F-4E Phantom II Development Update and Release Delay Announcement
t_hedlund replied to IronMike's topic in DCS: F-4 Phantom
Having been under the weather for most of last month, I can totally relate to the health issue. I hope everyone is feeling better. Like many other virtual pilots, I'm disappointed, but completely fine waiting for it to be right. Looking forward to all that the F-4E will bring to DCS. I have been with DCS for a while, I believe that the A-10 and P-51 were out, and ever release that I have watched has had either delays or were pushed out of the hanger a little too early. It is just a fact of life. -
Mine arrived in Illinois by US mail. Once it is released, we will have the proper attire.

I remember seeing a picture of the Mustang on the carrier deck, but did not remember hearing the story, here is a yt video on it. -
Thanks for the response, that makes sense.

With the merge of Stable and Beta, has the MT version just been merged into or is it still a separate program? I still have the folders and both launch, but I'm not seeing any different in performance. I have updated both the MB and CPU recently and have been doing some testing and it seems like they run very similar.

Sorry, I must have deleted a sentence before I posted it. Here is the template for Aviation Nation. Recreation of 75th Aviation Nation - Nellis Air Force Base - DCS (digitalcombatsimulator.com)

Amazing work! I find it very interesting as to how much work goes into one of these modules, please keep up the good work. Look forward to someday having to charm the Cobra.

Epic flying in the harrier! We do have Nellis, so Aviation Nation is available. Aviation Nation 2022 (af.mil). If Oshkosh is added, I would love to see the Volk Field and Hardwood added. Work ups at Volk would be amazing!

F-111C 3RD PARTY MOD ANNOUNCEMENT
t_hedlund replied to 11SHEP11's topic in 3D Modeling for DCS World
Awesome, I can't wait to take it low level in Nevada. This announcement might be better placed in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World - ED Forums -
@Sherman68, are you making the radar your sensor of interest? In the video above they talk about it around 3:20. If you could post a trk file it would be very helpfully in figuring out what is going on.

Hey John, from what remember you'll have click closer to the center of the TACAN dial to move the inter number and to the outer portion of the dial to move the other number. It is hard to get to with the stick, you kind of have to look around it, if you are still having problems with it, try out the training missions, they are awesome.

Hey Jamie. Based on my experience, I would check out Tactical DCS on Discord, great group to fly with! They have a section "looking-for-wingman", where there is usually someone willing to go up. (64) Discord | #looking-for-wingmen | Tactical DCS They also have a mentor system where you can ask a question pertaining to a specific airframe and they will help you work thru it. Really too many good things to list.

Great Interview, I like how they kind of bounced around and talked a little about everything. At 1:08, they discuss controller and Wags mentions that you should be able to plug in your controller and DCS should auto recognize it, if the manufacture has sent them the kit. Does this imply that it will bind the correct button for the gear, flaps, etc... or is it just the axis? I have a few different controllers and I have never notice it auto filling in the binds. Thanks

Jdam - last bomb dropped falls behind/short of target
t_hedlund replied to Flapjacks's topic in Bugs and Problems
My understanding is the 1st bomb released is the last bomb on the CFT, so the 2 that you have boxed should be the 1st one off the jet.
