  1. Wow both of the video's that ASC have released on the Herky are awesome! I can't wait to use that checklist.

On the landing video, it shows the workload in a muliti-crew environment, which I would love to get my skill set to be a useful crew member as demonstrated in the video, is there any single player video planned? Really looking forward to haul anything in it.

  2. I got to try it out yesterday for amount 20 minutes, very nicely done. I did a couple IFR approaches, I like to be able to select the option, would like to see how it plays out with more aircraft in the pattern.

It really improves the immersion, thank you!

  3. It looks like I had the wrong warhead. I was testing it out on the instant action mission against a SA-2. and the P19 flat face, I went with the M37. You have to be very close. I don't have the exact distance, but it was less than 10 miles, and I was at 18K.

Per their discord, they have a new kneeboard covering the correct warheads.

  4. It amazes me the level of craftmanship, attention to detail, resourcefulness, and persistence that goes into building a simpit. Thank you for sharing your lessons learned, it is appreciated.

I'm working on building a button box, I'm to the point of wiring and I'm holding out until I can spend a few hours straight to do it right.

So I am going to piggyback on this thread here.  I am still not all the way sure how the Afghanistan map is supposed to work.

I bought the Afghanistan map (actually I think I bought it as soon as it came out), but today is my first use of it.  So I take off from Kandahar, flying to Bagram.  It is a very long flight (A-10C) so I use autopilot and speed up time.  Then I notice that I am "offmap" and Bagram is still a long way off.

When I try to search the ED website for what I paid for originally it indicates "Afghanistan bought" and "South West Afghanistan" still available for purchase.  So I think I indeed purchased the Afghanistan map.

Yesterday I updated DCS to the latest update available and I rechecked today, there are no further updates available.

How do I know for sure which map I purchased?

Why does it say "offmap" if I am supposed to have gotten East Afghanistan?

    Thanks in advance,

    Caldera

Hey Caldera, How much did you pay for it?

Check out the 1st page of the FAQ, it breaks it down by price, it should help you determine which one you purchased.

They were my first YouTube videos and actually the first ones were just twitch streams uploaded raw, without editing, so not the best. Also, they are not the latest version (I'd suggest you start with the update video first). When you get to build it, let me know if you need any help.

Good to note on the order of the videos, thank you for the offer, I hope to take you up on that.

Wow this sounds really cool! Am I right in understanding though that this is only available for NTTR?

Yes, that is my understanding, I would imagine that once this gets released for NTTR, there will be much demand for it on other maps. It would be great if ED would implement this into the core sim.

  8. This is such a much-needed addition to DCS to improve the immersion. Having flown on a multiplayer servers with human ATC, single player environment just seems lacking without the additional communication.

Im really loving this mod..  easy to use, simple and fun to fly..

Is there any rocket/bomb depression tables for the sight? guns seem spot on but I was doing some attack with the heavy rockets and they seemed to fly like almost a full sight above the stock center...

@SparrowLT check out the training missions, they cover each of the different weapons. This is off the top of my head so I might be off, I'm thinking that Rockets are 19 mils, and Bombs were around 10 mils. The mission goes over your dive angle. They are fun missions as it has a scrip that will give you range scores.
