  1. Hey all :) So I'm big into Flight Sims, but can't afford the full cockpit setups and such. But I do have a good computer, a large single monitor, nice controls (stick, throttle, rudder pedals), and a track IR. I'm very happy with how it all works out. The one thing I have wished for, though, is an easier way to activate controls in the cockpit than what you can with a mouse. I've looked at the setups using a 2nd touch monitor and moving control panels there and such, but it's both costly and a bit complicated (I have no problem with complicated, but costly on the other hand). I remember when the Leap Motion device first surfaced a year or so ago. It looked nifty, lots of cool things to do with it. I went ahead and pre-ordered one, because it wasn't that expensive for what it does, especially when you compare it to the price of a Kinect. I'm not sure why it's taken so long, but today it just suddenly clicked. Forgive the "OMG", but holy cow....I'm picturing myself looking around the cockpit with my track IR, and reaching out and clicking buttons without needing a touchscreen monitor, or even having to touch (and dirty up) my screen ! Will it work as I envision ? Not sure, but I sure as heck can't wait to find out. And yes, it's precise. Here's a link so everyone can check it out. Anyone else think this might be a frugal, easy, awesome addition to the Flight Sim world ? https://www.leapmotion.com/
  2. I agree with what most are saying. -while it's on, it should be more compact and out of the way -should be off by default, or have obvious instructions on how to turn it off and on *UH-1 is easily one of the best helo sims I've encountered. I can't commend you guys enough for the work done, and that you are so actively working to make it better.
  3. Cool video, but not what I originally expected. People might get a kick out of these helo pilot training documentaries.
  4. Just to update this thread, I ended up just re-entering all my activation codes to stop all the modules from asking for them. Hopefully future updates go a little smoother. :)
  5. Thank you for your response, Azrayen. I had all the correct modules installed. I double check all that stuff. I ended up just re-entering all my activation codes to stop the activation window from hounding me. All seems to work fine at the moment, so hopefully future updates go a little smoother for me. Thanks again for taking the time to respond.
  6. Thank you for responding, NoJoe. I went ahead and entered my activation keys for all the modules, since I didn't see any other options to stop the windows from popping up. It actually didn't end up saying anything about activations used, one way or the other, so I'll just be happy the activation window no longer hounds me. Hopefully future updates go a little smoother. Looking forward to all the new goodies coming *cough* MI-24 *cough*, they all look great. :)
  7. Re-posting here since I've gotten no responses in DCS world forum yet: Hey all, So, 1.2.2 would not update to 1.2.3 for me. I posted a thread on the problem, and the answers I got to fix the issue was to download 1.2.3 and all modules, uninstall 1.2.2, and install 1.2.3 in it's place. My concern was having to use up activations, since after a few more updates, I would have to buy everything again. I was told it would not be a problem, and at first that seemed to be the case. But every time I start one of modules (A-10c, P-51d, etc.), I get the window asking for my activation code. If I hit exit, the module continues to load, and everything appears to work so far. I'm wondering if I just have to put up with the activation windows hounding me after the 1.2.3 update, or will using up my activations be the only way to stop it, eventually leading to having to re-purchase everything after a few more updates ? Thank you for any suggestions on how to fix this.

  9. It's seems I spoke too soon. The activation window keeps popping up every time I start one of my modules. I can hit exit, and it continues on to the sim with everything seeming to work fine. Will I have to just put up with the activation windows hounding me as punishment for updating from 1.2.2 to 1.2.3, or will I have to use up activations to stop them ? Any help is appreciated, thank you.
  10. Uninstalled the old and installed the new, and everything seems to be working so far. Thanks to everyone who took the time to answer my questions. See you in the skies :)
  11. So, I downloaded DCS World 1.2.3 and all of the modules. I now wonder if updating to 1.2.3 by uninstalling everything from 1.2.2 and then installing all the new 1.2.3 stuff is going to use up my activations ? If so, a few more updates in this manner, and I'll have to buy the whole set again :(
  12. Not the most convenient of update systems, but if downloading everything in full is the way, then that's what I'll do. So, do I uninstall all the previous 1.2.2 stuff first, or just install DCW and all the modules over the originals ?
  13. Howdy, Well.....I hadn't had time for DCS lately. However, with the current sale, I bought Combined Arms and was looking forward to getting back into things. However, the install alerted me that I needed to update from 1.2.2 to 1.2.3. and that's where the trouble begins. It begins the update, verifies local files, and starts downloading. Then after it's gotten to a certain point, the following error comes up: Can't download object http://update2.eagle.ru/dcs/objects//ad/ada054effe8123b63ef3dbb53f7 36532e98f9df0092d404e71d496d420e4fe9f: hash mismatch I get this whether I try to update or repair DCS. 1.2.2 works fine. But I need to update to 1.2.3. So, what do I do ?
  14. Thank you for getting it working before the sale ended :) Just bought it. Can't wait to give it a go.
  15. Hey all, Saw there was a sale, and wanted to add combined arms to my collection. However, it doesn't appear to be in the e-shop. Is there somewhere else it's available for purchase ? I followed the "buy it" link from the main page, but it just took me to to the e-shop, and it's simply not there. If it is, and I'm just missing it, please let me know where on the page....like the 7th item down or something like that. Thank you.
