Hi Ebs. Trying to set up JSGME in DCSW. Thanks for your guide. I get most of it but where I am falling down is item 7/ "Go to your new DCS World/_MODS folder. Make a new folder called "Female Wingman" and within that recreate the EXACT structure of the folders... DCS World/_MODS/Female Wingman/Sounds/Speech/Sound/ENG/Common/Wingman/ and extract the female wingman mod to this directory. Your mod is now ready for use." I want to install Diveplanes Spitfire sound mod and I have installed JSGME OK and created a _MODS folder in DCS, I don't understand what you mean by recreating to EXACT structure of the folders ? For Diveplanes mod, can you clarify what the file path should be and the folder structure with an illustration ? Sorry for being a numpty but I am quite new to all this so just need a little help from the expert ! Thanks. Buster.

The hobbldy hoy nature of the ground handling
Busterbvi replied to Damocles's topic in DCS: Spitfire L.F. Mk. IX
I agree, I am having a hard time believing the Mk9 Spit is like this in real life, its pretty much unflyable for me, I just hope this is all sorted for final release. Totally ruins the enjoyment of it. A2A got it right ! -
A bit of a problem with the Spit in FREEFLIGHT. When the plane loads it immediately shudders for a second then goes into a flat spin that you cant get out of !? Secondly, since the last update, my keyboard ESC key does not work, the only way out is CTRL - ALT - DEL into task manager. Anybody else have these 2 problems ? Is this Spitfire the finished product ?

Great stuff, thanks guys for your input on this.

Thanks Art-j, in FSX that was called "locked spot view" I would love to know the key assignment for that, can anyone else help on this ?
-
Enjoying this new Spitfire and got most things figured out. As an old FSX and P3D merchant I would like to be able select a view of the plane from the ground, in FSX it was called "tower view" and it was great for that "airshow aerobatics" experience, just like flying a RC plane. There is a bewildering amount of view choices in the controls section, which one would I choose to get close to the tower view i'm after ?

Thanks Razo, I will give that a try. To be clear, I have not made a manual effort to update to 1.5 stable version. I have "Autoupdate" enabled so I assumed I was all up to date with the occasional updates that appear when I launch the game, am I correct ?

This.

I think so, it automatically updates when I launch it. Would V1.5 be included in updates ?
-
That's what I thought also, searched the module manager last night, no Spit in there !

I bought the Spit while it was on special offer and downloaded it OK just after release. I am having all sorts of problems with it so thinking I had a corrupt download I deleted it. I cant find where to re download it in my account ! Can anyone advise ? Thanks.

JOYSTICK CONTROL ASSIGNMENT Thanks Sokol1, just downloaded it, a quick browse of the "Read me" it looks like I can assign as many as 10 mappings or more to one button, this is ideal for DCS with soooo many views, saves stretching for the keyboard ! Art-J and Sokol1, you guys have made my day, thank you for being so helpful, love this community !

Thanks Sokol1 for the input. Looks like your familiar with the CH Combat stick ! You guessed right on the toggle views thing, in FSX you can toggle through the views available with one button, I do have CH control manager software ( never used it ) but will look into using it to select views and assign to one button if possible, I only want, cockpit, outside and fly-by views anyway. What is Joy2key ?

Art-J, thanks for that, I think you just hit the nail ! I will have another go tonight as I wasn't clearing the chosen stock assignment, the "ADD" button was not lit on most of what I wanted to change so it was throwing me off. I will try clearing and re assigning my buttons later. Is there a way to calibrate a stick in DCS something like the way its done in FSX ?
