  1. oh... this is a special bomb the Luftwaffe has been working on. They, however, stopped development because this stupid thing already detonated by the vibrations of the running fuel pumps. :D Ok - now something more serious: Did you press LCtrl + LShift + X ? It looks like there's a debug function that accidently made it into the release. Sobek said that in another (german) thread. This is reported.
  3. Hmm... don't know... Maybe try to apply throttle gradually - like Volker Bau does in the video. That's what I'm doing and it works pretty well. But it's still a concentration exercise to bring her up without flipping or some other amusing maneuvers ;) Not sure if this is the correct procedure but I lock the tail wheel before I start the take-off run. It helps to keep the plane straight (for the time it's rolling on three wheels).
  4. It was very difficult to land... At least most Bf 109 pilots stated that it took a good bunch of awareness and attention. Provided that the flight model is done right you should consider the fact that you are not really sitting in the plane. You can't feel it. Sometimes i think the simulation has it's limits here - it's almost too good due to the lack of physical feedback. I know - it sounds crazy. The only thing that helps is to practice, ask for advice from other sim pilots - and then practice some more. And learn to fly it without the feedback from your buttocks... :smilewink: For the take-off: It really want's to jump off the ground. If you watch onboard videos from real Bf's you can see that it takes a good amount off stick and rudder input to control her - and of course stick forward movement even when the plane get's airbourne. Oh and for the landings: it apparently is a little bit bouncy and looks not too comfortable even when experienced pilots are behind the stick. Watch this video (which was posted quite often in other threads now): It may can help a bit - well at least it helped me. The DCS Bf 109 is not far off what you can see here in terms of take-off and landing. Try to replicate it - and you'll see: It's not as hard as you might think :P
  5. check your DCS folder: DCS/mods/aircraft/Bf-109-K4/doc :smartass:
  9. Hmmm, ok. You're right. But when shooting directly from six position you'll most likely hit with more than a single shell when considering the 650 rounds/minute rate of fire. The only thing I can say is that all my AI opponents went down after a single, very short burst. When I check the results I can see that I hit with the MG131 - and when the Mk108 joins in the P-51 is done. Usually I can see something between two and four 30mm impacts in the result summary. So I really can't say if it needs one or more Mk 108 hits. But what I can say is that whenever a opponent gets in the line of fire - he's shot down.
  10. Same. The AI goes down by a single, short burst of the Mk 108. Works best when in six position. When I lead my fire with the MG 131's into the target I'll get an instant kill when I add the Mk 108. I think this gun is quite deadly... The Pony Riders will not like it....
  11. You can forget about that post. I accidently had the rudder help switched 'on' in the options menu - and was fighting the 'helping hand' of the simulation. Which led to unwillingly overcompensation of my rudder input. I always was able to take-off the Mustang without any trouble. So I was a bit angry because it felt so awkward... 'twas my fault  After someone pointed me to the 'rudder help' and I switched it off I never had any problems again. I can take-off and land very smooth and easy now :smartass:
  12. Hey! Erich Hartmann's Bundes-Luftwaffe 'Black Tulip' Sabre! Nice! Would like to see this in DCS! Thanks for your work. Oh. The Skyblazers skin looks great, too! Regards, Konrad
  13. Yes, that's cool! Easy listening - easy flying. But - wait a second... ...you are obviously listening a radio station of the enemy? You'll be happy that I don't report it. Ahem... Dismissed. :P
