Lots and lots of water. All in all I'd rather fly in North Africa.

HP ZR30w Bezel-less Surround Setup
Immermann replied to Callsign.Vega's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Beautiful! But I can't understand why it's so hard to make thin bezels. Look at this Philips for example (for digital signage, but nevermind): http://www.philips.co.uk/c/information-display/46-inch-multimedia-hd-ready-bdl4681xu_00/prd/ "Bezel thickness: 2.4 mm bottom/right, 4.3 mm top/left" Five of those in portrait would be nice but sadly they're only 1366 x 768. Oh to be a millionaire... :) -
+1. Beat me to it.

Wow, there's a shitload of buttons in that pit!!

Probably not recoil, but shifting center of gravity, right?

Here's a screen shot of the original article: http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n273/Wirmish/TechRadarEyeFinity.jpg I think it's Dirt 2 (DX11) running on the 3x30" -

No, they pulled it :( NDA's I suppose. But you can read the text here: http://futuremark.yougamers.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1185103 Oh, and one model supports up to 6 monitors... -
Maximizing Performance on triple monitor setup
Immermann replied to sinelnic's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
The new ATI cards are rumoured to have support for three monitors at up to 2560x1600. That would remove the need for TH2Go. We'll see about that in a few days I suppose. -----------EDIT---------- A hands on from techradar.com. It supports mixing landscape and portrait modes too (which TH2Go doesn't). http://www.techradar.com/news/gaming/hands-on-ati-eyefinity-review-634244 -
Triple head 2 go DP Edition!
Immermann replied to Made.In.China.00's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
The upcoming ATI cards will apparently support more than two monitors. If that turns out to be true there's no need to fork out for a TH2G. -
Aren't there any time tables for the trains somewhere?

Computer build for flight sims
Immermann replied to odie072's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I'd consider the PhenomII X3 720BE, recent tests seem to show that tripple-core is the sweetspot for the newer games, and a fourth core doesn't bring much more to the table. Unless you do decodes and such of course. http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/multi-core-cpu,review-31567.html# -
Yeah, an analog thumb stick would've been nice too. But the european price hike is insane.
-
Yes, for that kind of money I want a long stick and lots of buttons + analog hat. Also a more ergonomic stick handle than what's pictured.

I have all my computer related stuff connected to a surge protected power strip with an on/off switch. So it cuts off all power to the computer when I turn it off. No blinking lights anymore.

Is there a printable command list for game/arcade mode?
Immermann replied to GianS's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Run *\Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50\Config\Input\Input_parser\Input_to_TXT_eng.bat Then open the txt-file in a spread sheet programme to view and print it formatted, I use the free OpenOffice Calc. Oh, and I assume the ka-50_easy_* files are for game mode. -
Abrupt manouvers at too high speed.

As you mention MS FS, I'd like to see some 3rd party created civilian aircraft to this standard with AFM similar to the Su-25T, perhaps a Cessna or an aerobatic plane (you can't fly knife-edge in FSX without crashing for example). That could make it more interesting for the civil air crowd. Sure, the flyable area is a bit restricted, but it wouldn't matter to the low and slow prop planes.
-
I used to like Steam (still do in some ways) but with their new pricing scheme for us europeans it's often cheaper to buy the games from any store (not to mention play.com!). As for remembering passwords and such, I use an USB-stick with encryption for all my log-in info and passwords.
-
Leave the flyables to ED and build some pits for the tanks instead so we have some humans to shoot at :)

The Saitek SST software has (had? There is a new beta out that pehaps fix this but I haven't tried it) a poorly written installer. The installer doesn't default to english if you have another native language in Windows than the officially supported (ie. english, spanish, german and some more). This means it won't install the SST software at all. So you have to find the folder where it unpacked the install files and manually run the installer for your preferred language (c:\windows\temp.... something I think it was). I wish you could config the mouse-stick directly in DCS cause I can't seem to get it working with the profile editor.

Are you running at native screen resolution when it's blurry? I turned up textures to high and set native resolution and the cockpit looks very sharp and all instrument labels are clear.
