  1. That worked!!! Thank you!!! Also, it may, or may have not been because I added a \displays\ folder into my RWR path on OVGME... :music_whistling: :music_whistling:
  2. I've downloaded HELIOS profile from Capt. Zeen to see how he managed to edit the RWR_ALR56_init.lua file. And properly added the entry to my monitors lua, but I can't seem to get it to show up on my second screen. Is the RWR from the F-16 bit of an offset like the F-18 IFEI? Which I had to add at x=1720 instead of everything else from x = 1910. I know the current position, at x = 1960 works, since that's the same position I have for the F-5E RWR, and it displays successfully. So, I have deduced that it is something else that I can't quite understand what it is. -- F-16C F16_RWR = { x = 1960; y = 0; width = 200; height = 200; } The entry on Capt. Zeen's RWR_ALR56_init.lua file. dofile(LockOn_Options.common_script_path.."devices_defs.lua") indicator_type = indicator_types.COMMON shaderLineParamsUpdatable = true shaderLineDefaultThickness = 0.8 shaderLineDefaultFuzziness = 0.4 shaderLineDrawAsWire = false shaderLineUseSpecularPass = true dofile(LockOn_Options.common_script_path.."ViewportHandling.lua") try_find_assigned_viewport("F16_RWR") opacity_sensitive_materials = http://www.captzeen.com/helios/downloads.asp Any help will be very appreciated. Thanks!
  3. I'll copy paste the same reply I gave to another thread here, for those who are looking into this and find this thread then they can get answer they need. location: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3718761&postcount=327
  4. I have no idea what made my DCS get back to working condition, the only thing different that I did was to change my HD. (Love it when a 15 month old HD malfunctions, and falls just a few months away from warranty). Another thing that I did, was to change on Windows Firewall all DCS entries to Control Panel -> Windows Defender Firewall -> Advanced Settings -> Inbound Rules -> Double click on all DCS entries. Then select ADVANCED Check all boxes on the subsection "PROFILES"(I think this one isn't needed but regardless...) Then at EDGE TRAVERSAL subsection(Still on the Advanced tab) Select "Defer to User".
  5. I've been having this problem about a week after the F-18C getting released. It started, at the beginning of it all, with freezing as when the map loaded. Then it got worse as I kept playing, when the role selection loaded and I waited for the frames to stabilize, it would immediately go to a black screen. After troubleshooting (read below), it now extended to as soon as I select any server to play. It loads perfectly fine by pre-loading the map in the mission editor, and it loads absolutely fine on any single player game, both from Caucasus and Persian Gulf map. What seemed to work was after I deleted all the DCS settings from the DCS folder in "saved games" and not change ANY setting on the OPTIONS menu. As soon as I change anything the problem returns. Here are some of the steps I tried, I might be forgetting something, and hopefully my memory will jog later. 1. Deleted and renamed my DCS folder in saved games. 2. Rechecked the integrity of the files using Steam. 3. Disabled all mods. 4. Disabled the antivirus. 5. Disabled any setting from my graphics card in Nvidia Inspector. 6. Deleted the entire game and redownloaded it from Steam. 7. This happens, either by loading a public server, or creating my own. Everything I have on the Logs folder: http://www.mediafire.com/file/il7w3ekw30f81da/Logs.zip I've included a couple of screenshots of Process Hacker when the problem happens. You can see, that after a while, it goes completely blank, and the DCS process goes practically dormant. It doesn't freezes, or stops responding, it just stands there doing nothing, or nearly nothing. My PC specifications are: Windows 10 Pro version 1803 - Build 17134.345 Geforce Drivers: 416.34 DCS version: 2.5.3.23225 Intel® Core i7 960 @ 3.20GHz 8 MB cache LGA1366 2X 2TB SATA-II 3.0Gb/s 32M Cache 7200RPM Hard Drive 1TB SATA-II 3.0Gb/s 32M Cache 7200RPM Hard Drive Asus P6T SE Intel X58 NVidia Geforce EVGA GTX1080ti SC2 ICX 11GB 12GB (6x2GB) PC12800 DDR3/1600mhz Corsair XMS3 w/Heat Spreader
  6. And once again I must deeply, and completely thank you, Sedenion, for this software. You have made modding easier, and much better! I have found a bug on the 1.7.4 version(windows 10 x64) The Dropdown list where we put the game's name, cuts out the first entries as the list grows on in size. It only holds up to 30 entries, beyond that it will cut out alphabetically, each entry. Here's the screenshot. At the top of my head, it is missing 2 or 3 more entries. American Truck Simulator is the only one I remember the name of. Hope this helps... Again, thanks for the OVGME!
  7. Probably not. I have tried to delete the DCS folder in the "saved games" folder and letting the game regenerate it again. It works, but as soon as I change anything in the graphics(maybe other tabs too, but I'm too irritated and tired to try) settings and the multiplayer stops working(black screen on role selection screen). I'm currently way too salty over this, because the price of the plane + the map, was equivalent(monetary impact, due to how low the minimum wage is in brazil) to about $400 to an American. But, thankfully, single player works flawlessly. I just can't play ANY multiplayer. I was going to make another thread about this, but I'm still reeling over a month of attempts, and trying after every patch. :joystick:
  8. Before this patch, I could get up to the Briefing screen. Which, after clicking "fly" would load up forever, either CTDing, or kicking me back to the main menu. Now, after yesterday's patch, the moment I click to select my role(the scroll bar), I get a black screen.
  9. Thank you!!!!! Installed it immediately, will try it again in a few minutes. You made the F-15 sound soooo much better!
  10. Great news! Your guides are essential for ADHD raddled brains like mine!
  11. I know, the A-10 sounds like it has powerful engines with this mod. But you are right, wish ED would fix this. Either way, I'm putting up with that "problem" because the sounds are awesome! That engine growling is and purring... Makes my joystick happy:joystick:
  12. Just wanted to say, I love it! Keep up the good work! Though, my only complaint is when we get jet sounds on turboprop UAVs hahaha
  13. I, wholeheartedly, completely, absolutely, totally agree with you! He needs it! Well, we need him to have it, so we can have his guide, therefore we also need it! :pilotfly:
  14. Thank you sooooo much!!! :D It worked! I had to do this because I wanted to avoid the reinstall dance for Prepar3D, since my DCS and other games are on Steam, this means I don't have to reinstall them manually. So, instead, I moved Prepar3D to the new HD, and moved the driver letter too.
  15. I have a question, or possibly a suggestion. I want to know if it is possible to change the address in "configuration root folder". I swapped drivers and the letter changed. Is there a file for me to edit manually? :joystick:
  16. Subscribing! Also, thank you for this! I'm slowly replacing JSGME from the other games to this one.
  17. Thank you! I was looking for this answer. They should make it clearer in the modules page. And what about the Razbam store? Would it possible to transfer it to Steam?
  18. SERIAL NUMBER: 25403 Bought from Amazon.com and received it yesterday
  19. I... forgot! :music_whistling: When I went to try and edit it I realized I couldn't anymore. Sowwyyyy Oh myyy... I feel ridiculously stupid now! I just needed to click in "Go Advanced" ... Let's pretend this never happened!
  20. Just follow these instructions. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=90613&highlight=ambient+occlusion :) Also, I was plying CA yesterday, and sadly, the ambient occlusion does make the gameplay a tad more difficult and does slow down. Perhaps because of me being close to the ground and the graphics having to generate more shadows due to grass and other things.
  21. Yes, it still does. Maybe it is me, but I noticed it a lot less. It seems only to happen on certain angles and close to the ground. I haven't used AO a lot before this beta driver update, because of the overheating and FPS loss, so I can't really say if it really improved or is just me. Without AO HBAO+ I was getting 30 to 60 FPS, (100 if looking at the sky) and the FPS stayed the same, or I did not notice anything slowing it down. I have a GTX 480(Noisy and hot) Here is a screenshot I got whilst it was flickering or changing...or something! (check shading lines on the left engine)
  22. UPDATE 1: It seems it is not "enabled" for DCS yet. You must enable it using the Nvidia Inspector UPDATE 2: It seems it improves performance on normal ambient occlusion usage, but if you enable "HIGH QUALITY" in Nvidia Inspector it will use HBAO+ Mental note: When taking screenshots, verify that you are not using HDR warm color or you will have to re do it again to post any screenies to compare with the old "ambient occlusion" trick... Back to DCS. UPDATE 3: Noticed no FPS loss with or without Ambient Occlusion on. In fact, before this driver, my card would overheat so much that it would shut down. So, if anyone is willing to give it a go, I suggest you do, the only downside I saw is this I've got to say, with that enabled, and a few other options enabled in Nvidia Inspector(Lod bias for instance).. ED's art department is awesome! Cudos for the attention to detail! few random screenies with Ambient Occlusion enabled at High Quality
