  1. I think that it is not in the plans: F10 is a deadly simple magic view that may be useful in some cases, like training, or some public servers, and Game Masters with CA, but I am not sure that making it more complex is the right way to go, IMHO. Though, I approve definitely another 'F-13' view dedicated to ATC/CGI directly in the soft as LotATC does.
  2. Sounds like you are looking for LotATC... It provides all the features and further more (drawing abilities, custom background maps and so on...) Official website
  3. vs AI ? Makes no sense. Play 10 rounds in PvP against friend with similar skills, 5 rounds per plane then turn. And guns only of course. The plane with best dogfighting capabilities would have more than 7 victories...below, we cannot say who's the best, or get any conclusion (can be due to skills difference)
  4. How to dogfight with the A-10C: 1. Jettison weapons, select A/A mode 2. Dive to the ground then escape with chaff/flares and hard turns as required. If bandit overshoot you, launch your Aim-9. If you are looking for some minimum dogfighting capabilities, you will pick-up the Warthog as last option :bye_3:
  5. Thank you, good to figure out the sunlight, shadows, and clouds management  Is it normal to have dark night around 7:45 PM in June in Nevada ? Looks like the date is not taken into account but for textures only, right ?
  6. As I said, different people looking for different features. As an old Flanker 2/Lomac/FC1/FC2 addict, there is no doubt that I am looking for something else than FSX@war, anyway, it is the true definition of a sandbox: each buddy uses it in his own way. :pilotfly:
  7. You are right. But it remains heavily painful. Many of us spent tons of hours placing objects in the editor then testing.... as a productive mission maker, from the ages of Flanker 2, I lost a full part of my life in this ME then testing IA with accelerated time :D My preferred hobby remains positioning trains in station with dozens of coaches to be aligned to the rails and keeping the right distance in-between :wallbash:
  8. I personally have a different approach: I suffer too much from the current diversity of available aircraft now, I really don't play DCS like X-plane or FSX, just flying around with different planes for the curiosity.. My main concern is about the consistency in mission making. I started a small PvP campaign in my wing with F-86/Mig-15.... arf, not enough ground units that fit the era, the map objects looks too modern, let's say it is ok for a few missions and dog-fighting above landscape only, but not very satisfying. Currently, we have F-15C/Su-27/Su-33/Mig-29S/Su-25T/A-10C/M2k -and F/A-18C soon- that matches the war environment (map + other units). If you put a Mig-21B or a F-5E in the air, it is just a joke, and limited to very specific scenarii for pilots who like big challenges. So, most of the time, you have to dedicate missions to these planes. Well, my first goal is to build +20 pilots missions in "coherent" scenarii to make epic missions altogether in a shared battlefield. And currently, this is done either in the 90's, or during WWII with Normandy. In the middle, you lack about everything. And if I want to fly a rare beast in realistic environment, FSX and others are doing this better. Having said that, I get your point, we all are not looking for the same experience with the soft. :)
  9. +1, interested in the link too, AFAIR it is a nodejs running server that updates the objects that you put int the ME directly into an in-game instance... VERY useful.
  10. Please read https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3201980&postcount=129 Sorry, I know every single word of this thread. :worthy:
  11. Very good job, need 2.5 soooooon
  12. I can't help so much cause I never pause the TIR and keep it even for instruments reading, but may I suggest to try while looking at the TIr software ? Just to confirm that there is no signal loss fixed by a return to default position or whatever else similar... Good luck in your investigation. :)
