  1. Thank you! Glad to know it's been fixed with ED internally!
  2. That did it! You're amazing...how did you figure that out? But ED should still fix this, please. I've found v1.2.6 to be subjectively less stable than say 1.2.5 with some other fc3 mission freezes or crashes in v1.2.6. Have others found 1.2.6 to "feel" less stable too?
  3. Yes, both in-game and desktop screen resolutions are the same. All other fc3, uh1h, instant action, missions are working. Even the training for A10C is working. Only the A-10C missions and the A-10C instant actions stop about 75% progress mark with "DCS Stopped working". Then takes me back to the main menu when I click "close the program" (Quite frustrating given that I just purchased A-10C and can't get missions other than training to run :() Any help really appreciated.:helpsmilie:
  4. I just purchased the A-10C and installed it to my DCS world. All modules are of the same versions: 1.2.6.17746.255_263. No mods. The trouble is I can't launch any of the A-10C instant action missions. Tried to start a couple of the default (included) A-10C missions, and they won't launch either. With both the A-10C instant action and included A-10C missions, I get a "DCS has stopped working" message and when I click "close the program", I'm returned to the DCS menu screen again. The odd thing is that the A-10C training missions launch fine. Also, my FC3 and UH1H also work fine. Any ideas?:helpsmilie: Thanks.
  5. thanks for the confirmation! saved us some huge downloads...
  6. Please forgive if this comes across as a very noob question - Just to confirm, the patches for the DCS A-10C found here: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/patches/dcs-wh_patch_1.1.0.6_en/ ...all the way to patch 1.1.1.1 are NOT needed if we have DCS A-10C A-10C_1.2.6.17746.255_263.exe, right? Because the 1.1.1.1 etc. patches are for the older boxed version of A-10C correct? Thanks in advance...
  7. Biggles, No prob - thanks for confirming the problem in the first place - that was helpful and supportive! I'll wait patiently for ED or one of the moderators...
  8. for whatever reason, my kids enjoy walking around with the pilot... just to check - you can't make your pilot run, correct?
  9. Thanks all for your replies. You're right - I checked and it is indeed the mini-HUD (I think it's p35 of the DCS manual), and not the HMD as I incorrectly assumed. Thank you Biggles for confirming this issue on your rig too...it's comforting to know I'm not the only one! (At least it's posted here for anyone else doing a search in our forums on this issue) Unfortunately, the problem remains in that the mini-HUD is off center, and requiring me to turn my head one way with the TrackIR 5 (and triplehead2go) and straining my eyes to look at the mini-HUD. Don't know if this is a "feature". Either way, can someone pass it along to ED just so they know, just in case? Thanks! Or how does one go about editing the lua files for the mini-HUD?
  10. I tested the HMD on the A-10A and F-15C. I should also add that I understand there may be a limit to the angle of the HMD, but what I'm trying to describe doesn't have anything to do with the limit because I'm referring to turning my head within the limits i.e., even before I reach the HMD limit the HMD is off-center. thanks for your response 159th_Falcon. It's kinda hard to post a screenshot that makes much sense, since a screenshot will not show where my TIR5 head is in relation to the HMD. (I hope that makes sense) For that matter, I have a plain vanilla 1.2.5 DCS+FC3 (no mods added yet). again, I just wanted to report it just in case it's something ED should know about (with TIR5 and triplehead2go).
  11. When I move my head left and right of the main HUD, I have what appears to be a helmet mounted display (HMD) showing the HUD symbology following my head movements. That's great! However, in the latest v1.2.5 of DCS+FC3, the HMD doesn't seem to be at the center of my head movements. I use a triplehead2go and trackIR5 and the HMD is off-center enough that when I point my head left or right of the HUD, I have to strain my eyes to look in the opposite direction to properly see the HMD. So, for example, if I turn my head to the right, the HMD appears further to the left (the HMD appears closer to the main-center HUD itself so that I have to strain my eyes left to look at it). Conversely, if I turn my head to the left, the HMD appears further to the right (the HMD appears closer to the main-center HUD itself so that I have to strain my eyes right to look at it). It seemed centered properly in earlier versions, and was definitely working fine in FC2. Am I the only one reporting this? Did a search and didn't see anyone else reporting this. Can ED or one of the moderators pass this along to ED, just in case this is something to look into? Thank you! Hope this was supportive and helpful to ED.
  12. From what i understand (and asked before), doing a complete uninstall and reinstall of the newer version does not lose activation
  13. download the update file from another computer that's connected to the internet play sim on computer that is NOT connected to the internet:)
  14. I recall it said that it's surer to uninstall and reinstall just in case (at least for those of us with computers that are not connected directly to the internet). someone else may confirm this...:smilewink:
