  1. I don't feel like this has really been properly communicated by someone from ED, so I'll ask as directly as I believe I can: Is MAC going to be a DCS product that works alongside existing modules inside of the existing simulation? Or is this a separate product entirely? I ask because I can only find community folks saying the latter, and can't seem to find a response from ED saying so. All I take from Wags' response here is that it was pushed back to ensure quality.
  2. Are GF Pro with MCG pro orders still expected to ship this week? Thanks!
  3. Y'all gross. We just have an appreciation for our little buddy, the Harrier Stool.
  4. Some friends and I have actually whipped up a little patch for the upcoming Harrier that prominently features a stool, front and center. We call ourselves Stool Boyz :pilotfly:
  5. Starfighter    There is nothing I long for more than to ZELL. I would love a G. A J would be weird and unique. I'd even be a sucker for an A and eject out the bottom. It all sounds good to me.
  6. Curious about this as well. I play on OC primarily, and I can't wait to do exactly this over there.
  7. LNS did not participate in the Bonus system with the MiG-21Bis. It is not surprising, personally, that the Viggen will not either.
  8. The Viggen's computer is pretty robust for it's time, and will likely be a pretty sizable chunk of the manual. You can expect a surprising level of complexity there, if I had to wager.
  9. Appreciate the communication. I know some folks get ornery, but you do great work and we're all just very excited.
  10. No one "lied" to you. This is the kind of stuff that drives me nuts. You're not owed anything. There is no magic deadline that LNS needs to meet to satisfy your wants OR ELSE. Things said months ago are obviously subject to change.
  11. These guesses feel like they exist only to stir the pot. As far as I know, no one in here knows how long the certification process is. I'm going to assume that everything is fine, because I've been given no indication to feel otherwise. To do anything else is just guesses and assumptions, both of which do little good and contribute negatively, in my opinion. I know we're all very excited for the Viggen, so let's try to keep it positive.
  12. I believe that refers to from ED themselves, Pocket.
  13. This opinion is perpetually maligned but: I think there is plenty of room for FC3 level of simulation in DCS. In the same way that I can still enjoy IL-2 while loving the full-fidelity of DCSor BMS, I too can appreciate the FC3 level airplanes. Assuming the things Wags has said in the past are true (that the F-15C is the best selling module by a country mile) they greatly benefit the platform (DCS World), and I don't think it hurts to have more flyables (especially ones that new players could experience before moving onto study level simulations), assuming they are priced accordingly and their performance in-game isn't so made-up as to make it unfun for the rest of folks. At the end of the day, I would much rather be able to fly packages of AJS-37's in realistic scenarios with friends than not be able to. More fun for everyone sounds good to me.
  14. You don't want handwritten scribbles in your expensive custom bound manual? :D
  15. I believe we are also getting the T, the heavier ordinance Mav?
  16. They already answered this in the AMA. The submitted a QB build last Friday. They don't know when it will release.
  17. Hello, I regret to inform you that we are now enemies for life. Apologies for the inconvenience! Sincerely, Mmmslash
  18. I greatly appreciate this candor. Despite my vocal criticisms here and elsewhere, the Viggen remains the module on the horizon I am most excited for. I think it's a great choice and that LNS are the right folks for it. I cannot wait for the day when I check this thread and there is cause for excitement. (Not to suggest this thread has not been great. So many fantastic contributors who have really grown my knowledge on the platform and helped fuel my excitement for the module. Kudos to the community.)
  19. Fantastic! Thanks, Mr. Pitt.
  20. The FOV on the AIM-9's is jacked, right? Seems to be a very tiny circle located slightly above the missile piper. Incredibly difficult to maintain tone, personally. Edit: Also, loving this module, so far. What a beaut.
  21. After the recent TacView sale, my friends and I picked up some licenses and they've really added to the Open Conflict experience. We've actually developed this kind of one sided rivalry with a player whose on frequently, and we keep an eye out for when he's online and try to be more vigilant. Tons of fun, and love the server. Can't wait to check out this other map, too.
  22. Hi there! Replied to you with a message (twice even, I think!), but for the life of me, I can't seem to see them in the sent folder here, so apologies if I'm just a Luddite. Either way: Pretty into this idea! I'm terrible as all get-out with the Fishstick, but I'd love to learn. As long as you don't mind someone who can't even land the lawn dart yet, I'd be all about it.
  23. Thanks for the response, Flanker. You're definitely right on the being outclassed front. I don't mind that so much - mostly enjoying the simulation and seeing what I can noodle out. I mostly ask just to help me in the IFF department, since there is no AWACS to declare, no model enlargement, and the Mirage doesn't have functional IFF currently. Don't mind being the small fish, just want to minimize accidentally biting friends. The TS tip is strong, though! I hadn't considered that, and it seems like a great way to build SA and find some easier pickings.
