  1. A good test of your trouble shooting and I will suggest some things that will produce the effects you mention. Firstly you state TIR will work correctly and then will suddenly jump down and to the right. That indicates without any doubt in my mind (having used TIR for over a decade now) the basics are working fine but these are potential issues: 1. Your trackclip pro (on your head) is moving outside the set range in the software 2. The TIR receiver on your monitor is shifting slightly to the point were you might centre in the software but the receiver is not in the middle of its physical receiver range. Check the receiver for centre (physically it should be aligned with your left ear) and then blutack its feet and little magnet so that it can't shift over time on the monitor. This is critical to horizontal recognition and can be a problem when looking too far to the left and your head blocks one of the IR leds in the Pro. 3. Check you speed speed and smoothness settings are also within your head movement range - this is quite sensitive especially if the TIR receiver is above or below your eye line (track clip pro setting). I helped a friend who had the smoothness set too high and it would lose focus and not reset until he F12 it to recenter. We discovered that by actually using/ holding his headset and trackclip pro in my hands and rotating it slowly to monitor the range of movement in the software and spotted it flicking off screen to the left. Again adjusting Speed and Smoothness in small increments fixed that issue. The only Physical problem I have encountered in many years was when power supply from the USB became unreliable and (even though the 3 IR leds are daisy chained) was causing one of the leds to flick off and cause the on screen response to flick away randomly. I rewired my clip leds at that time whilst putting it on a battery supply so I could move freely with a wireless headset. Another thing please check that you do not have a button programmed to F9 ( I know some DCS functions also make use of F9) because as we know that is the pause button for TIR and it will instantly lock the screen at that moment causing all sort of weird thoughts and reactions until it is is figured out and it is un paused. Though that issue is potentially countered by you saying the receiver leds stay green. There are not too many thing that can go wrong with TIR getting the head setting right is the biggest challenge. Outside of DCS have you added any software recently? These are just some of my experiences not saying they are the cause of your issue but each one will cause issues. Good luck.
  2. Hi people, I am hoping there is a simple explanation for the heading. I know enough about networks and routers to stuff things up and get confused. I am running my server on a dedicated separate PC on my home network. About 2 weeks ago my multi thread instance on the client PC stop seeing the server whilst the single thread instance continues to see it just fine. I have reinstalled the server software and client after cleaning the PCs and it runs just fine when I log into it (single thread) from the client PC. Can see all the other Public servers when I search and can join public (no PWDs) servers no issue. When I search with Multi Thread instance my server is nowhere to be seen. Versions of OB are the latest, and obviously the firewalls are ok ( I didn't change the settings) as the single thread can see the server ok. My ISP blocks some ports but not 10308 and 10309, if they did logically the single thread client wouldn't work either. All of the Forum threads I have searched suggest multi thread should (and it used to) work fine with OB server. Looking for some help from somebody who can shed some light on this problem? Thanks Uteman
  3. You are not the only one, if the makers (who have done an excellent job by the way) want to remain true to life then the option of a checkbox should be there because as I understand the history of the AC, NWS and spoilers were retrofits installed on many of the aircraft. Also as the makers authors have stated they are not adding later versions to the A4C a checkbox is applicable if one is going to use some of the country liveries supplied given they were using later generation aircraft. Consistency? just saying.
  4. Not really sure what you mean by TH quality. My warthog setup is nearly 7 years old and has copped a hell of a hammering. Have had several other controllers in other games break as well as a keyboard and I am careful with my gear . The TPR rudder pedals are brilliant imo. I have fixed two things in 7 years on the stick both at the same time 1. Tightened the bottom two stick screws about 3 years ago after I allowed some relos to use my setup and one tried to yank teh stick clean off its mounting to avoid a crash to earth. Been fine ever since. 2. I also then disassembled the stick base because I noticed some extra looseness and it was due for an inspection. I noticed that the round black base that is held captive by the coil spring had developed a crack at one of the screw holes (also a result of an over exuberant kid I am guessing). The fix, I inverted it and filled all the annular cavities in that base completely with two part epoxy and clamped it tight with a hose clamp (to close the crack) until it was set hard. The stick works better than new with the silicon grease I use and is as tight as a drum over the last couple of years. I am a cautious type and I also purchased some switches for the stick from TM as backups. I had a concern they would change the design and parts would become scarce. Their service was great and the price was reasonable. Most expensive aspect was the postage from France to Australia. There again as with everything made in China your mileage may vary.
  5. Hi Guys I downloaded the installation exe file after reading many of the positive comments about the MB339. I have one issue up front and I searched this thread for an answer but no luck. The installer want to install in C drive (etc) is there some other way to install on another drive?
  6. Keyboard rudder bug You are spot on with that comment except and they added one major one, for example you now cannot fly the spit if you have a leg disability and have to use the Keyboard zx key for LR rudder (or simply can't afford rudder pedals). The bug sends the rudder into full opposite lock after you release the key- real fun in TO and landing let alone adjusting in flight. Been accepted by DCS as bug but not much help to the people that rely on a KB to fly it.
  7. Sorry meant to say VPN is NO good for server hosting
  8. I dont think it is an iiNet issue as I said above. If you have a friend close by whose DCS is working get them to check that they can see all map regions in the server list. It was strange that no Normandy map servers could be seen by me (via the VPN) nor by family member trying to find my server from OS. No Normandy maps were visible at all. VPN is good for server hosting Working fine still as of today (fingers crossed).
  9. Hi Guys, My problem with DCS login started late on 5th June maybe 6th I've lost track. I am with iiNet also (since 2006). The problem was fixed for me some time today. I won't recount the emails to iiNet or DCS you have all done it, suffice to say I am happy it is fixed. I do not believe it was an iiNet problem, I think the problem was somewhere in DCS network coding or whatever and I will say why I believe that. I run my own private DCS server for my family to fly mostly Normandy with me and their client machines are in other countries besides Australia. The overseas clients could not find my server (obviously) when the problem was there but they also could not see any Normandy servers at all. Anyway DCS kept asking me to check things I am a happy camper and glad to be off again in my MkIX.
