Hard Times and Expensive Hobby
DataHawk replied to Steel Jaw's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I hear ya ! All indications are that Rift S is good but it’s a tough choice jump on VR now or wait and see what the next Rift looks like Choosing a Monitor is an easier/safer choice. I have been eyeing the ASUS VG27AQ https://www.asus.com/ca-en/Monitors/TUF-Gaming-VG27AQ/ Because most VR owners seem to say that they also own a monitor At this point I am leaning towards the monitor upgrade and waiting for the next Rift Tough Choice my friend -

I use the paddle in the A10C
-
You will gain immersion using the F-18C stick You will loose immersion using it with the A-10C throttle

Thinking of pulling the trigger on WH hotas
DataHawk replied to FOXFIRE TWOONE's topic in Thrustmaster
If your interested in flying the A-10C then the Warthog HOTAS is a great choice. Thrustmaster has so far chosen only to produce stick add ons (F-18,F-16) While it is nice to have replica sticks, You will be using the replica stick with the replica A-10C throttle. In the past Thrustmaster has produced replica HOTAS (the Warthog and the Cougar). The new direction for Thrustmaster appears to be away from replica HOTAS into "mix and match" HOTAS This has lead to a lot of dissapointment in the community Winwing has recently produced a HOTAS for the F-18, So there are options for someone who prefers a replica HOTAS setup. -
Maybe Wags knows Maybe Wags can tell us if the F-16C Viper Stick is different than the A10C Warthog stick ? “The Thrustmaster F-16C Viper™ HOTAS Add-On Grip is my stick of choice for the DCS: F-16C Viper module. It feels and operates just like the real F-16C control stick, and it has exceptional quality, price, and durability.” — Matt “Wags” Wagner Executive Producer, Eagle Dynamics http://www.thrustmaster.com/en_US/%D0%9F%D1%80%D0%B5%D1%81%D1%81%D0%B0/thrustmaster-hotas-magnetic-base-and-f-16c-viper-hotas-add-grip-very-special-10th-anniversary

Track IR advice - getting some weirdness

Experiencing same issues -
In response to the post question... I think it depends on which Aircraft you like to fly in DCS, If you are mainly interested in the A-10c then I don't think there is a better choice than the Thrustmaster Warthog. Years ago when DCS released the A-10c I was happy to buy the Warthog for its realism. Today, with all the different aircraft DCS has released and since there is not currently a realistic throttle & stick combo for any other aircraft I like to fly. ( ie F-16,F-18 ) I would be more inclined to purchase a more Generic stick For this reason, I would not buy a TMWH again

I'm actually surprised that Thrustmaster has not re released the Cougar throttle, One can only assume that that Thustmaster has determined it to be not profitable enough to pursue. :(
-
I have been in the Thrustmaster camp since the release of the Cougar, Realism and quality are very good. Personally, I have been disappointed with Thrustmaster not expanding the product line. I would have really liked to have seen a F-18 throttle and a new F-16 throttle. I see release after release of new racing sim gear. IMO…Seems like Thrustmaster has lost interest in support the military flight sim community.

Thank you Rudel chw Awesome info

@ Cougar Users Does your RDR Curser/Enable work out of the box in DCS F-16? I Dont want to replace the Microstick POT if this is just something like a DCS or Windows issue Does the Realsimulator TUSBA correct this issue? http://www.realsimulator.com/html/tusba.html

Awesome !!! Thank you ED team

Any New F-16 Throttle being made anywhere?
DataHawk replied to Davee's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Is Thrustmaster updating and re-releasing the Hotas Cougar? Thrustmaster displayed it at Flight Sim Expo 2019 and is showing it with F-18 Stick Word on the street is that the Hotas Cougar Throttle on display at Flight Sim expo 2019 had its own USB connector. (Although this has not been verified) -

Over the years I have played both Multiplayer and Single player I'm not sure that they are mutually exclusive, being part of a squadron that flies for example the harrier in multiplayer doesn't prevent me from flying the hornet in single player. I have enjoyed "DCS massive multiplayer" when you have a red vs blue with real players on both sides. If its us vs AI then I'm more focused on the mission that me and my wingman are doing so I prefer "DCS mini multiplayer" (2-4 players)
