The issue is actually not with the runways at all. If you set them to take off from runway an Il-76 will even take off from Lavan Island Airport, no prob. It will even land and stop in adequate time. The issue is that there are no parking spaces modeled for those larger aircraft. That's why they can't be assigned to take off from ramp and that's why they will disappear after they land. You have same problem with Mi-8, Mi-26, CH-47 and any other larger helicopter too, try and see. It's a super annoying problem though and I'm baffled why ED is not prioritizing this issue more.

Too much highly built up areas to model, terrain is very flat.

Problem is also with bigger helicopters like Mi-8 and CH-47 - they also can't be set to take off from ramp on many airfields. Basically logic SHOULD be like this: Two white rings around the airfield symbol = ANY Aircraft One white ring around the airfield symbol = Aircraft like An-26, Yak-40 and Fighter-jets. No ring around airfield symbol = Only light aircraft like Yak-52 and ANY Helicopter (though Bandar e-Jask should realistically have one white ring, and Minor Thumb should not)

I see a lot of wished for special US skins and Display flight teams, but we are still missing two, while not super fancy looking, still vital skins for Persian Gulf Map: United Arab Emirates Oman

Hi, I think an Arctic map similar to Janes F/A-18 would be awesome. I list the reasons below: - The dominance of the Arctic region is were today's superpower rivalry is heading. - Includes both Russian (including Russias most important naval base), NATO and Neutral territory. - Good environment for many of the DCS Aircraft such as F-16, F-5 (Norway), F/A-18C, MiG-21, Mi-8 (Finland) and Viggen, upcoming Bo-105 (Sweden). - Is sparsely populated, less time needed to be spent on building detailed cities. - Gorgeous scenery with Norways mountains and Finlands and Swedens forests and hills.

I bought the Gulf map today but it did not include any promised Iraninan skins. Tomcat, Su-24, Il-76 - none of these have any Iranian skins. I only have the skins I already had before buying the map. We also don't have any skins for Oman. I know there are some DLC skins but I don't want the game to break every time there is an update..

KC-130 has jet engine sound, not prop. and it's trails are coming out of the wrong place. The F-5E ejection seat textures are missing.

There are tens of countries now added to DCS World, however very few of them even have a single aircraft/helicopter/ground unit available that the country actually uses or used, even though they exist in the game. I've also noted that some that we did have went missing, for example Mi-8 is no longer available for Finland even though there used to be even Finnish skins for it. And the only ground unit available for Finland is the M818 even though Finland does not have them, but Finland has Leopards, MLRS, Stingers, BMP-2, and used to have T-72, UAZ-469, ZiL-131, BUK M1 etc. but those I can't choose. Considering that we then have random countries like Algeria that have even a skin for every single plane and even fantasy ones, it's strange. I've also noticed old aircraft like the F-16 and F-4 have started to miss textures, like for Israel the logos have disappeared from the aircraft etc. For a mission builder this really ticks my OCD, and apart from skins these should be really easy fixes for ED. Literally changing a .txt file. I know I could change mine myself but I'm often getting issues with the game when doing it.

I could not help noticing an Su-27 in Kazakstan Air Force livery in the ED EDGE promo video. I really hope this means they have added more countries into 2.0 and not only additional skins (yes I know there will be some new countries with the new map but KZ was not one of them). Can't wait to find out what kinds of treats are in store for us. :)

Yupp, I have the same problem with the cockpit class on the M. Did not yet check out the other bugs you mentioned.

I have had DCS Installed on my computer for a year. I've had Avast anti-virus for the same period. Today something very weird happened. Is this a false positive or what's going on?

Hi, I'm trying to make a couple profiles for my Saitek X52 and I've run in to a stupid problem. How do I program a command that is lets say, Shift+[ ? Because to get [ I need to press AltGr+8...and if I do that well then I have AltGr+8 in the command and not [ :doh: What should I do with these kind of key combinations? I have a Scandinavian keyboard.
