Turret control in isometric view is stuck on mouse
Shadow KT replied to Rongor's topic in DCS: Combined Arms
Has been like this forever unfortunatelu. Bind a button to "Change cursor mode" and cycle it once you enter isometric view. Should give control back to your pad. That said, you need to do it every time you change view. In my opinion, it is not worth it. Just use mouse and keyboard and change aiming modes for the FCS to work. -
Can't call something broken, when it never existed. T-72B3 came this way, when it was introduced into DCS... so it was a design choice, not a bug.

Although, I've seen it happen once on the Caucasus, I cannot seem to reproduce it. That said, I can reproduce it 100% on Syria. Is this not reportable, because it happens on a map different from the Caucasus?

Some sort of a variation is still going on. Seems like ROE is playing an effect on what is happening when changing states. In Spot ROE.trk you can observe how if ROE is set to HOLD, and as an example you go from RED to GREEN, dishes will stop spinning, but the target will remain visible on the map and vice versa. I have not tested what is seen from a pilot's perspective (RWR). @Flappie Spot No Radar 2.trk Spot No Radar.trk No Spot Rada On.trk

That's all cool, but if we can have the trailer permanently attached to the Big Bird so it can be mobile for the time being, would be great. I don't see a reason, it would not be able to operate with an attached trailer. Please do correct me, if I am wrong.

Would be nice to have this looked, as in its current state AI aircraft cannot be controoled with CA in any way.

reported S-300 Missile Flight Path Issues
Shadow KT posted a topic in Ground AI Bugs (Non-Combined Arms)
When defending against HARMs (I suspect the result will be the same against other weapons as well), the SA-10 consistently flies its missiles substantially higher than their target. Meaning the SA-10 missiles arc high, when engaging incoming AGM-88Cs (difference between missiles and target altitude increases with range). The delta can be in the tens of thousands of feet. I've attached two tracks (with stationary and mobile radars), as well as an example Tacview file. With the new SA-10 models, we can now enjoy an almost fully mobile SA-10, with the exception of a Search Radar. The TELs, the TR and the C2 can move. For whatever reason, the new Big Bird unit is a trailer only unit and it is missing its tractor. Is this intentional, or can we expect the trailer in the future? ^ SA-10 on the move! ^ Old model with the tractor attached! ^New model without a tractor. Also I am not sure if the illuminator on the new model is supposed to be offset from the center of the radar. So, bug/ feature, can we expect changes?

Yes

Yeah, this has been an issue for years now. AI will use APFSDS only up to around 3200meters, after that, their FCS won't even compute for any further, unless you change to an HE based round. That said, the M1 Abrams was recently adjusted and the AI now uses its AP beyond 3200 meters. Unfortunately, this is only true for the M1 Abrams AI and the ZTZ-96 AI (in-game M1 copy).

Anything on this, the issue still exists?

Maybe similar issue to the one where engine sounds disappear on ground units which have been spawned during the mission (scripts)

Yeah, I think I am experiencing the same issue -
fixed Nooo..What happened with the Huey Start Up Stability ?
Shadow KT replied to Volator's topic in DCS: UH-1H
The huey is all kinds of weird after the engine model update, whatever that means, as there are no details about what was changed. The helicopter moves left and right on its Z axis during start-up and although it doesn't wobble side to side anymore, as initial bug states, it has received a major increase in vibrations in all phases of flight. Feels like the dashboard is about to come off any moment now and with less than half collective, and rocket pods, full fuel, the helicopter is going 110+ knots in a straight line. -
The new label system for the F10 map is a step forward in the right direction. Can we have settings added in the ME to enforce enable/disable some of the different layers of labels? And in general what information is visible when you click on an object.
-
@Flappie Seems like the issues comes from the load out. At least in the MQ-9 Reaper's case. With no weapons, it follows Set Path commands accurately. With weapons, it experiences the issue described.

Hello, Sometime ago, features such as the laser pointer, thermals, night vision and ranging laser were removed from the binoculars for world war two ground units, which is understandable. That said, seems like WWII units are back to having these abilities. null

Sorry, but I couldn't find the right word. Basically on some tanks like the M1A2 and the ZTZ96, when you enter Thermals when in Isometric view, you get a photo which blocks your vision on top of what you are supposed to see. This used to be a view in those two tanks in particular, when you changed between different zoom levels. Not all tanks have this. Is it intentional? Isometric Thermal.trk

Hello, we've recently experienced some issues when it comes to thermals in the sim and ground vehicles. After the latest round of fixing, it seems like that binoc (default key "B") thermals are back to their previous, normal state (being extremely clear and high definition). The same cannot be said about the thermals on gunner optics. They seem to be pretty low quality and major discrepancies can be seen between both thermals, even at short ranges. Is this intentional? Thermal Difference.trk

Seems like all Stryker variants are experiencing some issues with their hitbox, that being that they are missing. You can shoot machine guns and MBT AP rounds through them. Seems like the problem is around the center portion of the hull. Stryker Hitbox Missing.trk

Would you like me to produce a new track? I had this happen on a mission file I had already worked on, then tested on a fresh file. Had a friend try on his machine as well, and he observed a similar behavior.

CA AI Set Path.trk When you set a custom Path to an AI aircraft, it offsets its 0 WP (own location) somewhere on the map and the AI needs to fly to WP0 first, before going to where you want it to. This also affects giving targets to AI, as the AI will want to go to WP0 before it commits to its attack.
