  1. The update is not officially even out.... You don't have the patience to wait for the update to be officially out, yet you are ready to complain.... you are the reason most of the community is just ignored or not taken seriously.... Don't even at me.... you should be mad at yourself
  2. Is this about reflections and shadows missing on the edge of glass textures ? like on the huey or f-5 ?
  3. I already provided a track with radar locking behind buildings ...
  4. I think it extremely sexy looking... I like its shape !
  5. try setting one of the modes first, then enable it Open your axis windows as well (R Cntrl + Enter) and another set of control indicators should show up in white, when the AP is enabled
  6. just modify your groups to have less units, only work around right now
  7. Here is a track with radar lock behind buildings: If I can do it, the all seeing AI (which I believe this fella is dealing with) can for sure see him. Same can be achieved in Vegas as well. Radar lock and track behind buildings .trk
  8. No where in the video you posted (which is GR video, speaks for its self) or the thread he was quoting did he mention that it is hard to get a radar lock on a helicopter, but just that they are not a good BVR target.... Helicopters are slow (low closure rate => limited missile range), small and nimble and can easily hide behind terrain if needed or mask partially behind trees..... which is why they are a bad BVR target. Helicopters are an extremely easy to acquire radar target..... You know how 5th generation aircraft try to curve their engines inlets, so radars can't see their fan/compressor ? You know how the frequency return of the benign to a radar can tell you what the type of aircraft is (NCTR, which is the reason when you get a fighter hot aspect towards you, your radar can tell what type it is) ? Well guess what.... a helicopter has a huge rotating blade on top of it (well couple of them), visible form all angles, which changes its pitch constantly and spins very fast with variable speeds across its length. Combine all that and you have an extremely easy to detect target for a (Pulse-)Doppler radar, which is based on the change of frequency returns and closure speed. If anything, helicopters are too hard to detect on radar, because they can actually notch it in DCS. All that aside, you shouldn't be able to lock them trough buildings with radar or IR.
  9. I don't think we will get anywhere without a track or a video.... From what I understood he is talking about massive rudder inputs to keep control, which sounds like a hardware/axis issue
  10. LMAVs are best used with troops on the ground lazing for you
  11. Use the key combo again. Right Alt + J, you can take control and leave the unit with it (once in it already)
  12. Because the dcs exe is known as DCS Blackshark... Nothing to do with models, just how the exe is recognized and known as
  13. You can replicate with any of your buddies.... Get on a server, shoot at each other and see where shots land for both sides
  14. So, as the tittle says.... When a player using the Tactical Commander joins a vehicle and shoots and ATGM, then starts an ATGM reload and leaves the vehicle control, while the reload is happening... it crashes the server... THIS IS A MAJOR ISSUE FOR MULTIPLAYER ! IT CAN BE ABUSED ! Can be reproduced 100% with Bradley, BMP-2, Stryker ATGM. dcs.log-20200301-214833.zip server-20200301-234738.trk
  15. Report that in DLC Campaign section for the Argo Campaign https://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=549
  16. Copy, I knew It was probably reported, but didn't type the correct words in the search
  17. Here is my problem and I would like to get more insight on it.... When having a lot of aircraft flying close together with wake enabled, CPU usage would drop to 50-55% and GPU usage would drop down to as low as 20% and my FPS would tank. Accelerating time has the same effect. When disabled (wake), game runs smooth.... FPS still drops with a lot aircraft, but no where near as much and the game stays smooth... With wake/time accelerate and drop of CPU and GPU usage, FPS would tank down to 10. When disabled FPS drops down to 20-30 FPS only, but the game stays smooth and usage is in norm Could this have to do with RAM/Page File usage ? i5 3570K @4.5 1070 16GBs of RAM DCS on a SSD, with maximum preload and plenty of space for a pagefile
  18. Axis Stuck, Until Aircraft Moves. I've had this issue forever so it is about time I report it.... Not every time and not every axis, but dependent on the mission.... your axis would bug out and not comply with your joystick movement, enabling movement only towards one side. For example you try to move the stick forward and aft, but in-game it only moves forward... Same can happen to the roll plain. The moment you start moving your aircraft, it fixes its self! MiG-15 axis bug.trk MiG-15 axis bug #2.trk
  19. The wheel chocks, since an update from not that long ago, are quite hard to remove and buggy. You need to be as low as 4000 RPM (more often than not, stopping the generator from working) to even get acknowledged by the ground crew. Meanwhile, when you try to attach or detach the ground power, there is no issue! Not only that, but the wheel chocks bug out and even tho, the ground crew confirms their removal, they stay on. You have to order them to place the wheel chocks again (wheels chocks still on the aircraft) and the order to remove them and it works. MiG-15 wheel chocks.trk
  20. If there is a bug.... It is that the harpoon missed initially and/or didn't explode... Nothing ubnornal besides that.... It didn't do a 180... It just flew upwards and stalled out.... When it fell nose over, it just saw its target again
  21. Well, you said it yourself... You can't see planes on F10, means you have changed your F10 options... Change those settings from the options or in the mission editor, but as it happens on most missions for you... I would guess you have it changed in the options Settings -> Gameplay -> F10 View Options In the mission editor, above the green arrow on the left, click the checkmark -> click on the F10 View Options on the right, click ALL
  22. Share your mission, show us a screenshot or let us know what exactly you wanna do, so some one can do it for you. My guess is, you are only adjusting the 0 WP speed, after you have given him a bunch of waypoints. Try this: 1. Choose the tanker you wish to have and put it on the map (air spawn). 2. Before adding additional waypoints, adjust the desired speed and altitude ! 3. Add the first WP (WP1), which would act as where his orbit should start. 4.Add a second waypoint (WP2), where his orbit will end (as in he will make a turn and go towards WP1). 5. Go back to WP1 -> EDIT -. Advanced (WP Action) -> ADD -> Perform Task -> Orbit -> Race Track -> Should have the altitude and speed which you have set for the waypoint, but you can change it if you want. Should work like this. Additionally, you can go again to the Advanced WP Actions and ADD -> Perform Command -> Activate TACAN and set a frequency for it. You can set the radio frequency on the top right
  23. I would say, it would be best if you find a buddy to do it with.... even someone new, who you've met online. Don't be intimidated, don't be afraid to ask.... If people see that you are trying, they will help out ! But don't expect getting serious answers, if you ask questions as "How do you fly X?" or "How to do you start y aircraft?". You have to do your part. Happy flying !
  24. So, what I discovered is that with the latest patches, now AI will drive faster, close to their maximum speeds, which in the past was pretty difficult to do. They still slow down sometimes when there is a small turn or a bridge or the objects are too close to them, but for the most part it is improved a lot... Here comes my question tho, this is only possible when they are in the default "In a line" or "Trail" formation. In any other formation, they will slow down to a maximum speed of 20! Is this intentional ? I can see some logic behind it, but you might need speed when in a battle formation as well... after all, that's what the slider is for
  25. So, I was playing around with units, checking out what is possible.... What I found out is.... for example, if you give an AI a Path which it cannot access or go trough it will crash all AI... For example, if you tell a T-90 to go into the middle of a lake, it will not move, but from that moment on.... all AI is bugged and do not respond to commands. Additionally, DCS crashes on mission restart or exit, after you have done this.... You might click by mistake somewhere and crash your AI and it is not limited to water only k5IZeaz_HaQ at the end I was about to say ".... aaand it crashed", but obviously my game crashed and my recording stopped
