  1. Reluctantly I am selling my complete cockpit which I would prefer to sell as a complete kit maybe to someone who is just starting out in DCS. Due to the amount of stuff you are going to need to be UK based and able to come and pick it all up. I have kept most of the original boxes for the controls so they can be easily transported safely. I have been using everything up to just before Christmas, everything works and there are controls for both rotary and fixed wing if you like flying both. This has given me a number of years of great fun but I just don't use it as much as I did and it deserves to go to a new home. Like everyone else I have spent thousands over the years but I am asking just £2,200 for everything listed (Please note: - the monitor and stand are not included in the sale) Components are as follows: Dispay: Oculus Rift S Gaming PC: Ryzen 5, MSI 350 Motherboard, 1080ti graphics card, 32GB Corsair 3200 RAM, 750 GB Solid State drives Controls: Virpil Controls VPC Rotor TCS Base Virpil Controls Mongoose T-50M2 Virpil VPC Flightstick extension Virpil VPC BRD Warbird Rudder Pedals Thrustmaster Warthog Throttle (Pinky Switch needs replacing) Thrustmaster Warthog A10 Grip Thrustmaster Warthog FA18 Grip Logitech G13 Keyboard Razer Tartarus V2 Keyboard Thrustmaster MFD Cougar Pack x 2 JetSeat from Andres shop Leap Motion hand tracking Controller Logitech rollerball mouse Keyboard I am also including the wooden Cockpit which was downloaded as plans but I can't remember where from. It can be easily dismantled and put back together. Although it breaks down pretty well, you are probably still going to need a van for the seat and all the other stuff. Any questions please ask. null
  2. One of the biggest mistakes people make when learning to hover is looking to close in front of the helicopter. If you look to close to the ground in front of the helicopter every movement will seem exaggerated and will cause you to over correct, try moving you eyes much further out away from the helicopter. Pick a spot, a tree or a building and look at that instead, it will help. everything else is just down to practice, remember every time you move one control you have to move the other two. So if you move the cyclic to stop a drift you lessen the ground effect under you just splighlty so you will need to pull pitch to compensate this in turn will require more left pedal to counteract the increased torque. Once you are back on the ball of air you will need to reduce pitch and again the right pedal…….rinse and repeat. imagine the helicopter is sitting on top of a ball of air which is trying to throw you off in every direction!!! evenutally your muscle memory will start acting automatically so that you are moving all three controls in unison almost before the control input is needed……but it takes time and patience.
  3. HI Andre, My Jetseat has lost all power, have tried to connect with different power adapter, checked the USB Connection, re checked the power and controller connections etc. No green light next to power switch. Is there a fuse anywhere near the power supply that I can check. Thanks
  4. Vaicom not working in MP I'm having a similar problem, but only in Multiplayer. Everything was working fine, then I lost JTAC, the the 'Options' menu stopped and now there it is completely non responsive period. I can't even call up the rearming screen. I have switched to single player and everything works just fine. In MP I am getting a beep to tell me a command has been recognised but nothing happens. I have gone the thought the process of updating Vaicom and VA, deleting the Export LUA and restarting, checking that commands are being sent to the correct app and/or active window both generally and for each command in the profile. It seems to be a MP issue.
  5. Cickey is it really that simple, I will try it out. Thanks for letting me know.
  6. I haven't read through the whole of this thread, so I apologise if this issue has already been addressed. I have just upgraded from the Rift CV1 to Rift S based upon the comments here. I am already impressed by the improvments in image quality and it certainly does not make it much easier to to see in the cockpit. The sound however is very much lacking compared to the CV1 and headphones are a definite requirement. I did a flight today on the F18 using the hand controllers. and where the CV1 controllers could be used to rotate dials etc this seems to have stopped working with the rift S making control in the cockpit a nightmare. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, is there a fix.
  7. If you asked this before I got the Hornet Module I would have definitely said attacking ground targets was my favourite, however as I get better acquainted with this aircraft I am finding myself enjoying the dogfight just as much
  8. I have applied via the TAWS website this morning and am looking forward to finding out whether I have been accepted or not.
  9. HI Sedlo - Just completed this mission after the 3rd attempt, I just wanted to say that this is one of the most exciting Single player missions I have played, really immersive with the radio scripting. I second KTFBGB in saying that I would happily pay for more missions/campaigns like this. For those of us not brave enough to venture into multiplayer it makes a real difference to feel like you are really part of a squadron on a mission- Thanks
  10. Can't thank you enough for making this video. managed to get into the basket on second attempt and stay there for more than 2 seconds. Not pretty yet but much much better.
  11. Many thanks, order just placed.......can't wait
  12. Hi Andre, Just tried to order jetsam SE from your site and when I get to payment section it says that there is no payment option available and order with obligation to pay box won't work either. Can I order from you directly here??? Thanks
  13. Hello everyone, Normally I enjoy DCS world as a whirly pilot but having purchased the FA18 Module I am very much enjoying the learning curve and challenges of flying fixed wing both air to air and AG. There are some fantastic youtube vids that have made a massive difference to the process mastering this amazing aircraft and systems however, having learnt( but not necessarily mastered) the technical aspects of delivering the various fa18 AG weapons I was wondering whether someone would be able to produce a video that covers which weapon, when, where, how and why. Weapons-which weapon to employ for different target types ie sam, building, armour etc both as single targets and multiple close proximity targets. ie when should you be loading rockets, clusters or bombs and, if bombs, which bombs, how many and why. Deployment - correct programming for the selected weapon for specific targets. ie if the target is a division of tanks which is the best weapon, what is the best delivery programming for quantity multiples and intervals, and what is the best delivery method - AUTO, CCIP, LOFT, High level, low level etc. I realise that there are a considerable number of variables here, however if I could start with a general rule of thumb I can then practice and learn from experience but from the correct starting point.
  14. was there any resolution to this, as I also have the same problem. Is there a key map that you have to use to make it visible??
  15. These look brilliant, just started flying the mi8 and can't wait until these are ready. I use your profiles for the ka50 and they make a massive difference. Thank you.
  16. Many thanks JG14_Smil, I will give that a go. That's alot simple than I was anticipating. Rgds
  17. Hi All I asked this question on the rookie thread and they suggested that I try here instead. I am trying to find a way to start all missions from cold start for black shark 2 and cannot find any settings in the options section to achieve this. Is there a config file that I can adapt to start each campaign mission from a cold start. The reaon that I ask is that when you start a mission and call the tower for take off clearence , the first option is always 'request start up' followed by 'request take off' even though rotors are already running. I wanted to add an element of realism by going through the cold start every mission I am still fighting the default missions that came with Black shark 2 while I get used to the aircraft and systems before I move into DCS world by the way. Thanks for your help
  18. Cold start up configuration Thanks guys, I will check on that forum and post back if I get anywhere.
  19. Cold start up configuration Hi there, I can't seem to find an option to tell Black Shark that I would like to start every campaign mission from a cold start up instead of engines running so I am assuming that there must be an LUA file edit somewhere. Does anyone know which file I would need to edit. Appologies if this is a really simple fix but I have been looking and looking and just can't find it. I just wanted to add to the realism a little Many thanks Sollymans
  20. Struggling with formation flying Hi everyone, Does anyone have any tips for helping with missions that involve formation flights. I am trying to complete the search and rescue mission in Black Shark where I have to escort a rescue aircraft to a pick up zone and then back to base. There seems to be no way of seeing the other aircraft in the ABRIS view so if/when I loose visual contact behind the HUD or other window obstructions I am having a great deal of difficulty re-acquiring the aircraft to enable me to move back into formation. Is there a way to highlight the other aircraft on the ABRIS as you can with the wingman or is it just a case of visual contact only? Thanks Sollymans
  21. Hi there, I am new here and am just starting to get to grips with all the controls of this aircraft after a month of experimenting and playing!!. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone that has taken the time to put together all the rookie threads, they really are an enormous help. I have a question though. The mouse pointer seems to disappear from the screen if the mouse is not moved for a set number of seconds. I have a track ir 5 I wanted to experiment using that to point the yellow cross to a switch and then left click using a button on my joystick. I can do this while the cross stays visible but after it disappears you have to move the mouse to bring it back. Does anyone know if there is a line of code in an LUA that tells dcs to fade out the yellow cross pointer after a set number of seconds. Or can I just move the X and Y control movements for the mouse to the track IR LUA so that head movement fools the code into thinking the mouse is still being moved? Thanks again for all your help and look forward to meeting some of you in multiplayer once I have mastered some of the in game missions.
