  1. I believe i answered my own question with a little testing. If you place anything on or about the runway the ATC will consider the runway "occupied" and will tell you to "use alternate" when trying to land. So, place any markers or vehicles just off the runway and it will stay open for takeoff or landing
  2. side question? What would cause a DCS ATC to , when contacted, ACT tells you to "go to an alternate" and will not turn on the lights. i do have some equipment in the taxiway and i'm sure that is the issue. What i'm looking for, is the criteria to shut down a runway. Then i can work backwards to figure what must be removed to open runway.
  3. The group of "clients" can not see the same Train (engine & cars) at same time or the same state (damage or undamaged) moving or stopped. most can see the Train as it moves down the track until it is shot. then all bets are off. I have developed a mission in multi player to hunt down and destroy a train. You can use any AC of your choice and any weapon of your choice. In multi player we chose AH-64s, a pack of 4, with 8 humans, no AI. MY AH-64 was the first to locate the train. i was CPG. My pilot positioned us to destroy the train. For some reason i could not hit it with missiles or gun. So pilot took over the gun, and shot. The train exploded and was on fire...sort of...because it continued to move down the track. The train the pilot hit did in fact get destroyed, I saw it get destroyed and i also saw the train continue down the track. in my view it was not damaged, the pilot continued to hit the stopped train and completely destroyed every car. in my view he was shooting at nothing. in his, the engine/cars were on fire and exploding on cue. for me nothing but empty air. i could see the train still in the distance as it left the area undamaged. The rest of the group arrived at the scene and some could see the burning hulk of train, others could not. others wanted to chase the train in the distance. we have since flown this mission again. Each time similar results. never have all eight of us, seen the train at the same place or same time or same state. it is a crap shoot of who can or cant. we have also tried smaller groups, different Aircraft and all have the same results.
  4. I Have set up a working ICT. Take as long as it takes DCS to rearm & refuel. As soon as the AC crosses into the trigger area for that ICT a Fuel truck, a MMS line truck and Crew Chief are dispatched to that spot. They stay for 2 min the move away. The reason for a ICT area is for immersion. Also to encourage the"Team effort" immersion (Ground Crew & Air Crew) as seen on the Super Carrier. instead of spinning around at the end of runway and rearming on the shoulder with half a dozen others. There is a tone of eye candy on the the airports, immerse your self in this "Simulator" In our Mission we give extra scoring points when using the ICT area. As well as points for bringing home a crippled AC, surviving a successful Ejection. but losing a life and/or AC has a SEVER reduction in your score. Every target ground and air is scored. Your score is posted to our web page. You literally can bet on your "Bombs" score with your buddies. PET PEEVE: Fly out to target/dogfight, win or hit the target then eject and grab a new AC and do it over. Pilots that do that lose my respect. A second area same Mission
  5. nullImmersion. These Graphics are mods we have downloaded from "DCS Downloads" We also use Moose to script our missions.

  8. Thank you for your response. That is a bummer... maybe in the future
  9. Where is the File location that generates the size and placement of BORT numbers. On the A10CII I want my team to have there own tail # but larger so its easier to read. Then i only make one master livery and each player when they join just set the Number but its to small to read!!
  10. How do you Change: Color, Tail # Year, for the bort numbers I added the "AF 83" to the tail skin to have it covered up with a "AF 91" auto generated date. i figured how to shut off the auto generated AF91 but if i want a number of AF 83 i need to make a new skin. -- the Tail number AF 83 089 -- the 83 represents the year of manufacture for those who did not know. Currently "91" i understand no block 50s were not made before 1991 that's not the point. only those who know where the radio fin (block 10 , block 15) ect. should be for each block know what block it should be and what year those AC were. So again how can on the fly change the year of manufacture and tail#. and for those liveries that are not grey how can i change the color of the number. just trying to make a more realistic Skin for a particular AFB "Homestead AFB" 1985-1986 306th, 1986-1991 307th, 308th, 309 TFS
