  1. One of the default ones. I think if was a misssoin in one of the campaigns I flew and I did not check it in the mission editor.
  2. I thought it was something wrong with my setup but apparently I wasn't the only one that saw low-res textures of the expanded 2.0 map. This is why I withheld my purchase last year.
  3. Iraq was hinted before but MiG-29 is a big surprise. Fantastic job. I've been in sims since Atari days, starting with sims like Tomahawk and Mig Alley. Then came Amiga with Gunship 2000, F-117 Nighthawk, Tornado and finally PC sims with Voodoo acceleration dozens of newer titles. The video you presented is jaw-dropping today and was something beyond wildest dreams in my early sim days.
  4. It was a good year for DCS with multithreading, DLSS and several other features. All the best to the team and I look forward to 2024 and Beyond video.
  5. I’ve recently had regular crashes on 2nd or 3rd mission. Sometimes I could load even one. What helped in my case was editing registry (#3 in the article below). Im still testing but I’m on my 5th mission and the game seems to be stable.
  6. Check this thread. Servers were overloaded due to high demand.
  7. Starting from Mission 2 none of the preset channels work. It applies to all the radios. I am currently using an Open Beta MT version. Overall, great job with the campaign. I have just finished Mission 4 and with I had more time for more soon.
  8. This gave me chills. I’m more than happy that you guys are developing the F-4. Phantoms Phorever.
  9. In one of the WW2 pilot accounts that I read the Spit pilot mentioned that pilots transitioning from earlier Mk Vs had to be warned about increased pitch sensitivity of Mk IXs. It was a common problem so DCS seems to be correct in this respect. You have to be very careful with the controls and possible reduce curve saturation as mentioned in the earlier posts.
  10. I am about to restart my computer just to check if something is not stuck.
  11. EA-6B landing on a carrier bad weather. Oh, they also had a cracked windscreen. ${1}
  12. I had a similar problem. I could not connect to any of the populated server but increasing terrain preload radius did the trick. ;) I had at set to approximately 50% and after numerous attempts with different Windows page file setting, switching firewall and antivirus off, this setting helped. I have it set to over 90% now with no apparent impact on the FPS and I am able to connect at every attempt. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. Wow. It's can hardly be recognised as DCS. Great job.
  14. There is still some work to be done. Not all the scripts worked but I will upload it when it's ready. :)
  15. Operation Silk Street Dogs of War Virtual Unit will welcome anybody who would like to fly the ColdBlood's mission on Sunday. We are a mature group of players who utilise military simulations in an immersive environment. The group was originally focused on tank simulation but we have expanded our scope of simulations since. We have regular Sunday sessions with a revolving choice of sims, including DCS of course. TeamSpeak: SimHQ Password: it will be given on SimHQ Mission design: ColdBlood modified by Lusik Mission discussion: http://dogsofwarvu.com/forum/index.php/topic,2378.msg9456.html#msg9456 Overview Russian Extremist Forces from North Ossetia exited the Roki Tunnel last night and began the occupation of South Ossetia. Their walk on the capital Tskhinvali was prepared by a group of insurgents who have established control over the inner city. Once they gain complete control over the city area and build fortifications they will be not only a threat for the region but even for the NATO missile defense shield. We do not exactly know about their artillery capabilities and what to come. We need the people back on our side so that the Georgian army can move through the city safely to face the Russians and push them out of South Ossetia. Therefor we have to avoid bloodshed among the civilians at all cost. Aircraft 8x A-10C 10x UH-1H 2x Mi-8 4x Ka-50 4x F-15C 2xJTAC Other to be added
  16. In General Aviation it usually depends on the size of the airport. On small uncontrolled airfields it it usually good practice to overfly the airfield at least 500ft above traffic pattern height which is usually 1000 ft AGL, if not published otherwise. We do this to check landing conditions on the runway, check the windsock, etc. On slightly larger airfields or towered airfields you usually receive pattern entry instructions from ATC. I fly Cessnas and similar aircraft so I can't comment now military patterns are flown. There are a few different approach methods but I'm not an expert in this area.
  17. I'll probably contact you soon because I'm down to 2. Windows reinstall and hardware change + the issues you described above. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. Confirmed. I also noticed the same behaviour with MiG-21. W10 64bit, i5 12GB of RAM ASUS GTX850M
  19. Yes, the same. He was a test pilot for Mikoyan Bureau but then moved to Sukhoi.
