  1. Hey guys and gals! Just a quick question before I nab the new campaign: Does the DRM for this product follow the same structure as the regular modules (Activations down to 1, then once a month) or is it three ever? I find it odd that the store makes that distinction at all would like to know before purchasing. Thanks people! :D
  2. The reason there has been no work on the Georgia map is because if i'm honest with you, it don't really need it. It looks fine for the average height we fly at and only two of the garage ever really have to worry about it in more than passing. We're supposed to be slowly moving over to the EDGE engine and that looks very pretty and has new terrain, so let's sit tight and wait for that.
  3. ANY version of Lock On will work if I recall. I have the UK version of LockOn, which ain't even LO:MAC and that works fine. Should be good.
  4. I noticed this for a while but it actually seemed to vanish the more refined my start up procedures got (That or I got used to getting rid of it!) Not to sound patronizing, but have you turned all the SAS controls on? Is your fuel spread even? Are you in freeflight with wind at 0 and are you setting Take off Trim? If so you'll need to trim it out once you're airborn. Infact you'll be trimming a lot of the time, not as much as a chopper, but a lot! Also as stated above, your weapon load out is fine? Try going in with totally empty stores, sidewinders and all. Aside from that I'm not sure. I did notice that exact same lazy list to the right but the more experience I had with the plane, the more it seemed to vanish. Now i'm not sure if I just automatically correct for it.
  5. The only legal way I can think of short of buying it is borrowing it off of a friend, perhaps? The game makes no security checks nor does it have a CD key so it SHOULD work, but really you may just want to buy it. You can find it on budget lines in the UK for next to nothing. Check ebay at the very least!
  6. The Longbow here, of course. Imagine it with two players in the same craft. Heavenly.
  7. To answer the original question i'd absolutely LOVE to see an Apache, and last I heard it was in development, but then everything dropped off and now we're hearing about Huey's and F\A-18s and the like. No mention of an AH-64 :(
  8. Thanks for all the advice and assistance guys! My stick may need replacing honestly. It's a 15 year old Sidewinder with only one hat switch and no HOTAS (Only a sliding throttle!) Might be fine for Flaming Cliffs 3, but I don't think it'll work to well for the DCS games :) I'll keep at it, might try that A10C user made training mission thingy too. And thanks for the advice on CA too. I was under the impression it was a ground vehicle based sim of at least FC3 fidelity. Guess i'll hold out a little longer for a ground based sim! :D One last question: does anyone have any recommendations for a good, high quality stick and rudder set? I'd very much like the TM Warthog but that's a little out of my price range at the moment! :D Thanks again guys!
  9. Hey guys! Another newbie here and i'm totally lost. I've been trying my best to take in each of the sims as well as I can (which is everything 'cept CA.) but while I can learn each system inside out if I took the time, keeping the crafts level and in the air seems to be a huge chore. Probably not helped with a 15 year old flight stick and no rudder pedals but I'm trying! So yeah, i've two questions for you hardened ace pilots~ Firstly: While I've had the most success with FC3, i'm aware it's not a true DCS product and i'd really love to get to grips more with the A10-C especially. Is there any thing out there to help a complete newbie? Especially with some of the basics like just keeping the craft in the air and the nose pointed where I want it to go? Or better, does anyone have any advice or even point me to a squadron that'd be willing to take in a complete newbie and train him from the rawest of rookies? :D Secondly: What exactly is CA? Is it worth picking up? What does it add to the game exactly and how 'realistic' is it (I'm a dedicated Steel Beasts and ArmA2/3 player for my ground war!) Thanks! Hope to be flying with you soon ^^
