  1. Ok, thanks. Was starting to lose my sanity.
  2. The only installed maps with a kneeboard folder on my system are Caucasus and Nevada. Have I missed something??
  3. I've been reading the posts for bugs with this mission and haven't seen one addressing my problem. Everything seems to work fine until I start the bombing run on the range. Once I get cleared hot, I make the run, drop 2 MK 82s, get a report of "good effects," and then the bottom drops out. I've tried the mission several times and the same thing happens each time: I drop my bombs, then my wingman gets cleared to drop; he never leaves formation though, and even when I use the radio menu to give him commands, he remains glued to my wing. What happens next is that I fly back to the IP, start another run hoping he'll drop his ordnance, but nothing happens. I return to the IP, make another run, and if I drop the next two bombs, THEN my wingman drops at the same time. Of course, he misses because he's dropping from my right side and flying formation. Only after I drop the second pair of bombs do I get another contact from JTAC regarding setting up for a second target. I'm out of ordnance at that point, though, so that's where the mission ends for me. I think I've flown it 5 times now, and can't get past that point. Anybody have any ideas???
  4. Ok, I was able to reinstall DCS World and all the modules. I created a fast mission and PRESTO! Everything was normal EXCEPT: In the mission briefing screen, at the very bottom where the airplane group and airfield are listed; my flight was listed as Alfa #078 instead of the usual A-10C. Looks like reinstalling fixed the other problem. Thanks again everyone.
  5. Thanks for the input everyone. Just want to clarify that the language problem was not with JTAC. It was with "me" when contacting JTAC. THAT transmission was not in English. the problem I had with JTAC was all the calls from him were truncated, so the required information to prosecute an attack was not part of the message. I was only getting the very tail end of the calls. In any event, I uninstalled DCS and am in the process of reinstalling it, so once that's all squared away, I will try it again and save the track, now that I know how to do it. Again, thanks for all the input, and I will post again once DCS is up and running.
  6. I recently installed the A-10C II module to scope it out and I had all kinds of problems with the controls so I removed it. NOW, when I fly the original A-10C, I find that the left and right edges of the HUD projection are beyond the width of the HUD window. I now have to shift left or right to see all of the data blocks. The problem persists regardless of zoom setting. I didn't have this problem before. I know this topic has been discussed at length before, but I don't recall my display being this way before, and when I look at tutorial videos online, it appears that the data blocks appear in their entirety for the person providing the video. For comparison, I have a pic of my HUD, preceded by a pic of the previous width projection, and what I commonly see in videos.
  7. QuiGon, I was flying for USA. This is the first time I've ever had this problem. Haven't been using DCS for at least six years and have never encountered this situation.
  8. I created a fast mission in DCS 2.5 stable using the A-10C. I set myself up as being a member of the Blue coalition (USA). On my main settings screen I have English selected as the native language. Once I entered the mission and contacted JTAC, all the JTAC transmissions were truncated, so no usable information was obtained. For example, when I first contacted JTAC, the entirety of the response was "Advise when ready to copy." In addition, my calls to JTAC were all in some other language, which I assumed to be Russian, but don't know for sure. Thinking that I made a mistake in setting up the mission, I exited out, rechecked my language selection from the main settings screen, then started another fast mission. Results were the same so the fast missions are unusable.
  9. Dave, you're right, I worded it incorrectly. Here's what I'm doing: Slaving my TGP to the waypoint where the targets are; finding a target and tracking in the point mode; designating the object as a SPI; autolase configured already in weapon profile; selecting GBU-38 CCRP profile; following the steering cue, holding the weapon release. In every instance, my GBU-38 fails to release. I'm not receiving any error messages. With the GBU-12, using the same setup, the weapon launches correctly, but even though I'm keeping the crosshairs on target, the bomb is missing every time. I wasn't having this problem before I updated. I was using markpoints for my Maverick launces and that works just fine. I've gone back and flown the weapons range mission several times, and where before I was hitting every time with the GBU-38, now I can't even get it to launch, and the GBU-12 is off by several meters.
  10. I remember reading in the manual that if Lase time is set for longer than anticipated bomb fall, the laser will fire immediately upon release.
  11. I'll give it a shot. Just updated last week and I see there's a version 1.2.4 already.
  12. I recently updated A10 v1.1.1.1 to v 1.2.3 Ever since the update, my LGBs and WCMDs fail to release at the appropriate launch time. The only exception is the GBU-12. Nothing else launches correctly. In the case of the GBU-12, though, no matter how steep the angle at which I set the markpoint (with laser), the weapon misses by several meters. Anybody have a solution?? Everything was right on the mark before I updated. I'm kind of disappointed now.
  13. Awesome, thanks for the response. I thought I was going crazy. Well...I might still be going crazy, but this helps. Thanks again.
  14. I purchased A10C 1.1.1. as a standalone package, and later downloaded DCS world. The standalone software works with no problem. When I start DCS world, however, I'm greeted with an icon that links to purchase of A10C v1.2.4 Is v1.2.4 the updated version of A10C, or is that version specific to the DCS world system? Can I not use v1.1.1.1 in DCS world? I find the whole thing quite confusing. Thanks for any assistance.
