  1. Some vids of my home-cockpit functioning; front dash only. Still pretty intense :)
  2. update of my cockpit; im making a new standard for my 3 monitors. currently adjusting height and sides also i'm flying around in some adjusted Georgian A10C's: :)
  3. Very very nice pit! Like how all panels are lit, nice & clean; all measures are perfect - as well as all your buttons....... makes me wanna rethink/rebuild my own pit (=good) :)
  4. wow really really really like your 3 big screens! :)
  5. Yeah i really like my pit - flying is so realistic with DCS Currently building covers for the gauges - still need to make some more. Got two other monitors ready but i'm still working on a standard which allows me to switch to larger monitors if needed. And i got some lag problems when i tested 5 monitors on my Eyefinity card... + i got to wait on some funds :) (can't use all my money on the pit)
  6. tx guys ;) Deadman - are you living in the US area where temperatures are so low right now?? i'm constantly seeing that on the news over here in europe
  7. Jeeeey DeadMan's decals arrived last weekend! I placed them on my cockpit sides and my pit looks a LOT cooler now! :) Also received the decals for my seat. Right now i'm thinking about making my seat more like the real thing - so i can use all the seat decals the right way.... hmmmm.... thinking about rebuilding pit parts.... here we go again :) Tx again for the decals DM!
  8. Guess thats a Caucasian Superman Pad :) Better use SEAD and high level.
  9. I think the manpad excellence in DCS is also a bit overrated. How much are the chances that manpads are shouldered and ready to go exactly at the time a lone A10C pops up? Normally it takes some response time. There should be some random response time calculated into DCS manpads.
  10. You don't. No SEAD, attacking an area covered by manpads and covered by a long range system is almost suicide. Use SEAD for long range SAM and high level attack to avoid manpads. Else in my opinion its just a matter of luck - with higher success rate when you manage to stay as low level / shortest pop up as possible...
  11. When your purring cat makes you look out of the window searching the sky /horizon for distant helo's...... seriously...... for like 30 minutes
  12. Yep true - i could use some fans myself too! ;) But these are for my modules. I notice them getty pretty hot after flying about 1,5 hrs. Not sure if this has anything to do with the continuous closed contacts on the inputs. I'v got one IO module which broke down.... and i had to buy another for 30,-..... and readjust a LOT of settings again..... So just to be sure i've placed fans around the modules! :)
  13. Progess Been a while of testing, flying and saving money - but i've made some progress! :) - Added new LED lighting which lights left and right consoles and UFC - Changed lay out of front dash by setting flaps, gear and NMSP on a different (for me better) position - Added some buttons/switches from which i can control the 3 cooling fans (left/right console and front dash) and my pc system - Made my 3rd screen operational in the right console: It currently holds the Caution Panel, TACAN/ILS freq, Oxygen gauges, Airfield maps and a small corner on which i can test some switches which are not yet integrated into the hardware switches. I'm thinking about installing a tracking ball (mouse) next to it instead of using a touch screen; since i also use it as a board for maps and stuff. (screen has been reinforced by plexiglass) Right now i'm busy with making a mount made of aluminium and wood for the 3 mainscreens. Other ideas: - Adding (flat) buttons on front dash (QNH, COURSE and stuff) - Placing make shift HUD frame of aluminium
  14. Yes those are the ones i used; dry transfers. On some panels i used varnis- but i was afraid that these would damage the letters. Luckily it didn't. And i did'nt use CNC for anything - all wood and metal plates are cut by saw. Are there particular parts that normally are done by CNC?? The bend metals sheets on the flancs are 0.5mm and cut with some kind of wire cutter.
  15. Wow looking good Whartsell.... nice.....!!!
