  1. Thats the point I want to know, I thought you could take out parts of a model and thats about it?!
  2. I just wondered if it would be possible to give us a Huey like the one on the picture. http://sra.echo619.server4you.de/galerie/bilder/files/gallery/1/UH-1C-01.jpg (I know its just a model, but Ive seen them flying around like that alot even nowadays). I think it would give the gunships great advantage during combat, you will have a larger field of view specially in the front section, where the doors are blocking the views sometimes. I remember back in Afghanistan 08 we had a lot of Black Hawks and Kiowas that had their Doors removed due to the reasons Ive just stated.
  3. If thats the fact, most of the people will possibly wait until it can be updated with the auto updater, since not everyone has a 100mbit+ Internet connection. (To be honest, a open beta only makes sense when everybody can be part of it, so I hope, as you do probably, that there will be a chance to update it "ingame".)
  4. Problems always come and go with some patches, never had a game which ran smoothly trough it's entire life of patching, it's just the way it is. New Modules and features sometimes produce new errors. ED is doing a great job and I really believe that people are working hard behind the scenes to get this fixed fast, just be a little more patient I guess, it'll be fine.
  5. I wondered if it would be possible to walk up to the aircraft and make an inspection from the outside before entering the aircraft itself. Just wondered about that since it's possible to walk around after you ejected from an aircraft in DCS, guess that would make things more realistic or not?
  6. Der ESL Server ist einer der wenigen der wirklich gut läuft und immer Spass macht! Klare Empfehlung von mir an die deutschen Flyer! Weiter so Rob!
  7. Man you people are nervous :D just think about me, reading all this while sitting on a German airbase in the middle of nowhere ;) I have to wait until Friday....
  8. Yeah that's what I was wondering about, the last Friday Update sounded like ED still has to work out some stuff related to the patch and its upcoming features.
  9. Isn't the Mi-8 supposed to come out with the patch 1.2.6?
  10. Does anybody know if the Vapor Effects will work like in real (high humidity f.e) Im just wondering because Helicopters and Props have the same effect on wet and HH Days.
  11. Sorry, just saw it. Yeah I passed with 90% ;)
  12. I see what I can do for ya ;) Here is the latest Version of my Huey currently getting uploaded to the DCS Website, I will let you guys know when its available. Changes: Reworked the Medevac Signs (they are more realistic now) Added alot of Scratches and Oil Spots just like the real Huey Reworked the Hueys color so that it looks more "worn out" Have fun with it.
  13. Thanks for all the kind comments, Ill try to work a little bit more on the "weathering", allthough I already like it as it is right now. BTW: Here is the new Download Link on the DCS Side: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/346716/ (For some reason the download button doesnt work yet, hope theyll fix it soon!)
  14. I wanted to create my own first skin for the Huey and tried to get it running for Hours, thank god Todd showed up and showed me how to get it working, thanks again Todd! Its one of the latest Hueys that flew for the US Army as a Medevac Version from Fort Rucker AL. I tried to make it look worn out, well however you have decide for yourself if you want to use it or not I guess. This is how it looks: And heres is the Download Link (Dont worry I already uploaded it to the DCS Side, just needs to get aproved before its open for the Public): http://www.file-upload.net/download-7602671/Flat-Iron.zip.html Installation: Just place the Folder in your: Eagle Dynamics/DCS World/Bazar/Liveries/Uh-1h Folder and you are good to go.
  15. Wow thanks for all the replys, Ive been quite busy with learning, due to the fact that I have my final exams as an aircraft mechanic engineer next tuesday, so wish me some luck ;) Ill give the 15% Deadzone a try I guess, right now I have it at 25 but this seems to be to much.
  16. Hey, just wondered if anyone else is using the G940 Logitech System and how anybody else set up the axis and dead zones. I figured out that setting the deadzone to about 15 helps a little to smooth out the controls.
  17. Of course, bought and it and love it
  18. Man I remember FO at its beginning, everybody was so over hyped with that simulator and I couldnt wait for it to come out. I knew a few who also payed for the A51 section. I gladly didnt, I just couldnt help myself to get over the feeling that its to early to pay 50$ after seeing what was released on the website itself (a few soundfiles and pictures). Really sad that they cancelled it, I really thought that this would be it, a hardcore realistic simulator.
  19. I don't think that this is the place to argue about who's acting right or wrong in some cases due to the fact that this thread was mainly created to post new info. I guess this splits the young boys from the old ones that used to hang around here and know how buisness runs in the ED Community. I'm personally so satisfied with the informations coming in from the DEVs. And we had enough pictures and videos coming in the last days and weeks, I just don't see the point in complaining and asking the same question everyday. Wags usually quotes this absolutely correct: " It's done when its done." Whoever doesn't feel comfortable with that kind of information might consider another game. (Just my point of view)
  20. Totally admit to that one! Have seen that happen on other games, you just don't want have angry customers crying and complaining just right after releasing the product. Well, I hope this makes sense to most of the people waiting, just image the Huey being released and not working for most of the people.... Oh lord you don't want to be on these forums then ;)
  21. Sad news :( R.I.P brother...
  22. We do (Germany) use the Huey (D) Model but only for transportation of military personnel such as small infantry groups and special forces. The only side mounted machine gun we use is operated by the crew chief and door gunners and are MG3s. Btw I'm currently sitting in one chilling in the sun and waiting for the pilots to arrive, as always they're late... About to do a test run of the engine...
  23. Hmm what I do to kill the time, hmm let me think.... Oh yeah while im waiting im working on a real huey
  24. Made me spill! Good one.
  25. +1 Guess everbody is super excited. I always like reading the posts when I'm at work, makes me smile.
