  1. I hope that the Bo-105 dream will become true.
  2. Does nobody has an answer or any solution to this problem?
  3. I also tried it with the current version but it is still not supported. That is a pity….
  4. If I am joining the Russian side I am listening the radio talks in Russian but their subtitles are written in English. I haven‘t found a possibility to change the subtitles to Russian. I speak a little bit Russian and would like to understand a little bit more by reading the subtitles…… Or is there any switch for that?
  5. May be that it would work with two accounts but I would not be fine with paying more licences just for getting this little effect in my own little LAN. Besides: why is it not possible to transfer licences to another account?……..
  6. But in the past I never faced this problem. Even if I watched and listened in a tank with one PC while I was flying by with another PC.
  7. I have the same problem since I updated ( last version have been before September). I am using DCS in my network on 4 different PCs (usually 2). A big sh…

  9. If I aim at a soldier with a stinger (I cannot believe that this is possible in real life…), the 114-L is usually destroying vehicles which are nearby without harming the soldier
  10. Many years ago I have installed hall sensors to my TM Cougar and the F-16 TQS Throttle. Today the gimbal of my stick broke (look at the red markings of the attached photo). Now I don‘t have any force on the vertical axis anymore. Is there a possibility for getting such a spare part or a completely new and good gimbal for the cougar? (If not, I will have to think about buying the new VPC WarBRD-D Base (I have already a VPC WarNRD Nase for my TM Warthog stick) or one of the very/too expensive Real Simulator FSSB.)
  11. The IR photos which I have posted are made with a Skoda which still has classic headlights (with tungsten). With other classic headlights it is also the same. With halogen filled lights the temperatures can reach up to 3000+ Kelvin.
  12. Please add some more area of the east-south with La Rochelle including this submarine bunker: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Rochelle: “The submarine base became the setting for parts of the movie Das Boot. The U-boat scenes in Raiders of the Lost Ark were also shot in La Rochelle. The base is featured in the computer game Commandos 2: Men of Courage. It was also chosen in 2018 for the location shooting of the German television series Das Boot (a sequel to the 1981 classic).“
  13. As I have seen in my tests of my four PCs ( ), the Theoretical FPS has absolutely no meaning for the real FPS. For example: without Vsync the real FPS has been 98 bit with Vsync the Theor. FPS has been around 200!
  14. Could you please tell me how this setting can be activated? In the graphics.lua I can only see shadows = 1; Are there any other user who als prefer this setting.
  15. I have done several performance tests of my newest hardware and compared them with each other. I have used DCS World 2.8.3.38090 Open Beta with Single Thread ST and Multiple Threads MT with an Instant Mission: AH-64D, map "Marianas" - Battle for Saipan: Dawn Invasion" After starting the mission, I have pressed OK, then [Right-STRG + Break/Pause] for two times (for displaying the frame rate) and then I have pressed the space bar. Directly after that I have checked the frame rate. I know that my graphic settings are very hard.....: null All CPUs as well as GPUs are slightly overclocked, except the CPU Intel I5-13500. Here are the results, including the fps / framerates in DCS World with ST and MT: Here as a table: 4K performance comparison between four of my computers Type Description CPU GPU RAM DCS World Battle for Saipan – Dawn Invasion Time Spy Time Spy Extreme Port Royal ST MT Total Graphics Score CPU Score PC Self build Intel i7-12700KF (12 Cores, 25MB Cache) RTX 4090 24GB GDDR6X 64 DDR5-6000 84 98 („GPU-Bound“) 31977 37570 17394 16227 27128 PC Self build Intel i5-13500 (14 Cores, 24 MB Cache) RTX 3080 LHR 10GB GDDR6 32 DDR5-4800 48 58 („GPU-Bound“) 17325 17624 15810 8406 11529 PC Self build Intel i7-2600k @ 4.5 Ghz (4 Cores, 8MB Cache) RTX 2080 Ti 11GB GDDR6 16 DDR3-1600 21 38 (fast changes between „CPU-“ and „GPU-bound“) 9996 14096 3775 4506 8941 Notebook Alienware 17 R5 Intel i7-8750H (6 Cores, 8MB Cache, up to 3.9GHz with Turbo Boost) GTX 1070 OC 8GB GDDR5 32 DDR4-2666 6 7 („GPU-Bound“) 4404 4459 4118 1815 1030
  16. I have uploaded 5 photos made with the thermal sensor of a HikMicro Pocket2 (thermal sensitivity 40 mK) and added their belonging 5 VISUAL photos (also black and white). They were made in the night (-10 C coldness) after a 30 minute drive wit this car (Skoda Roomster with Halogen headlights) and parking with switched-on headlamps for 2 minutes. -> As you can see: the headlights can't warm up the wall in front of the car and there is no beam visible. (Xenon or LED headlights are even colder than Halogen.) Of course, from a longer distance the thermal sensitivity and resolution will get much less. (May be that such a beam would be visible while heavy rain or snow fall under very special circumstances and a small distance.) I don't think that this behavior depends on the map.
  17. All kind of cars. The headlights are not infrared lasers…. Therefore the beam itself is not visible with IR / thermal cameras.
  18. There is only ONE possibility to find out if the GPU or the CPU is the bottleneck: by watching the frametimes of GPU and CPU. There will always be the risk that not all cores of the CPU and may be all pipes of the GPU really can be used. (And then the influence of the VSYNC.) Therefor, it is not possible to find the bottleneck by using the CPU and GPU Utilization. My problem is still that I don't know which frametimes are CPU-related and which are GPU-related. Especially if you are monitoring the second FPS monitor in DCS which shows you much more parameter/frametimes (Terrain, Mirrors, MFD, ...). Could somebody help me? What does Simulation (CPU-related?) and Present (GPU-related?) stand for? I assume that Frame stands for the total frametime of each frame. If I add the frametime Present to Simulation the sum is less that the frametime Frame.
  19. In DCS the shines of the headlights of the cars are clearly visible. But in real life they aren‘t. Especially not with Xenon or LED headlights. They would only be visible if the headlights would have so much IR energy that they would warm up the street while driving on it. I have also checkes that with a HIKMicro Pocket 2 (40mK thermal sensitivity) and with Halogen headlights ……
  20. I am also desperately waiting for this module….. I had the opportunity to spent one day in a German airbase of this helicopter in 1989…… To be honest: I have bought the Gazelle because I thought that this would help for developing the BO-105.
  21. In my own opinion this is a bug of this nice feature and should be fixed.
  22. Since several weeks I am sometimes facing jumping / disappearing / stucking aircrafts. Same behaviour like there would be a big lag / latency between the two computers. But there is no real lag and they are directly connectected by using the LAN IP address. Seems that the new multiplayer protocol has a bug for me or that some request are being sent over the internet…..
  23. Today I am facing big lags when we are playing in the same LAN. Of cource we have not switched on „public server“. I think that for the new release… all multiplayer games are now handled over the whole internet and not stay with the LAN.
